  1. Marine Buc Says:

I agree with Ira – the Bucs see how things go – if they only have one or two wins by mid-season then we could see the Bucs unloading a few players like Mike Evans and Devin White.

  2. Texasjoebucsfan Says:

IRA is spot on with his commentary. Mike Evans signed a contract a few years ago and is still on that contract. He signed the contract and if he is a person of his word, he should fulfill the terms of that contract. Going forward, I would not pay Mike Evans or any other person on that team, upwards of 25 million dollars. a year. I bet the players in the NFL never think of the real persons, who work, that are really paying for their contracts. As far as ticket sales, I would never purchase a ticket for my family at the costs the Bucs want for seats. How can a family of four, afford upwards of $1K for tickets, food and drink. I bet the players never think who is really paying their salaries. It is not management, it is the public.

  3. William Walls Says:

I would wager that most of the dollars that get paid out in player salaries come into the organization through its share of the broadcast licensing agreements the league has in place and the stadium revenue is probably just icing on the cake.

  4. TampabayDJ Says:

I think it was foolish for Evans agent to make this public and say they want 20+mil a year. This put the Bucs in a bad place as far as if they give him what he wants , then it opens the floodgates for the rest of the players to demand what they want. Should have kept it in house , and I’m sure they would have come to a agreement. I’m a Evans fan to the bone , but I don’t agree with how he is letting his agent handle this. I hope this gets resolved and I hope he retires a Buc. But Evans and his agent have to be willing to meet in the middle , or have a contract with incentives for games played , yards, TDs , etc… Go Bucs and Mike Evans
