Buccaneers Preseason Schedule Is Set

May 25th, 2023

Aaron Rodgers will be wearing a different green against the Bucs on Aug. 19 in New Jersey.

Joe is fired up. The Bucs’ preseason football schedule finally is locked in.

Tampa Bay will open the preseason at home (aka The Licht House) against the Steelers on Friday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m.

Then the Bucs move on to New Jersey eight days later to face the Jets and Aaron Rodgers on Aug. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

The finale is home against the Ravens on Saturday, Aug. 26, at 7 pm. That should be a fun tuneup for early regular-season clashes with the Bears’ and Eagles’ running quarterbacks.

Steelers, Aug. 11, Friday, at 7 p.m.
At Jets, Aug. 19, Saturday, at 7:30 p.m.
RAVENS, Aug. 26, Saturday, at 7 p.m.

So, all night games in the preseason and primarily 1PM games during the regular season. Nice.

    THIS IS A WIN-WIN SEASON

If we win, wow! Everyone’s minds will be blown. Baker or Trask is doing well. The new OC will be doing well. We become the cinderella story of the year.

If we lose, cool. It’s where we’re supposed to be. Young guys are getting experience and we’ll get more/better talent in the offseason.

This must be the ‘Joe’ that appreciates preseason scrimmages for what they are meant to be.
    Question…
Are there plans for any joint practices this year?
I seem to recall the Jets being mentioned.

By August, our AI overlords will have outlawed football as being a waste of energy, energy that they AI needs as they plug us into the matrix.

  8. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Steeler Fans really support their team, and travel well. Count on them and their “Terrible Towels” to be at this preseason game.
Kenny Pickett has been known to throw quite a few Interceptions, especially when he is pressured.

  9. Thomas Edrington Says:

    Preseason — Bah, Humbug!
What? You don’t want to see the Bucs chase Lamar Jackson all over the field? –Joe

  10. Joe Says:

    Preseason — Bah, Humbug!

    Amen!

  11. Louis Friend Says:

The guy who wrote the words “Joe is fired up” when used in talking about the preseason should cause the other Joe writers to throw up, revolt or seek more dignified surroundings. Yikes.

…… meaningless games for soon to be florists, Wal-Mart greeters and bull milkers is what I’ve always heard…….
