Logan Ryan On Lavonte David: He Belongs With Bucs

March 21st, 2023

Hall of Fame résumé.

Joe thinks Logan Ryan might be trying out for Joe’s job.

For every transaction the Bucs have had this offseason, whether it was re-signing players or choosing to let player walk, it seems the free agent defensive back has taken to Twitter to comment on it.

For the re-signing of Bucs icon Lavonte David, Ryan sounded like a fan, which Joe guesses a teammate could easily be.

Tell Joe after reading Ryan’s Twitter that you haven’t read Joe type just about the same.

Yup. David is always underrated and slept on. No doubt. Joe’s been typing that for years.

And yes, Joe has gone to bat for David on the “Ira Kaufman Podcast” trying to tell Ira that David has the numbers and jewelry to warrant serious consideration for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Advanced analytics and just plain old-fashioned film study can tell even the dumbest of ignoramuses that David is as worthy of a bust in Canton as any linebacker playing.

Is Licht bringing Logan Ryan back? How’s his health?
I’d like to see what he can do if injury free.

  3. Goatfarmer Says:

Logan was the only one that actually knew what everyone was supposed to be doing. Sad that his coich couldn’t teach the others, especially the Diva with the loud mouth, small brain and headset.

  4. Steven007 Says:

Very comparable, and in some ways better stats than the saintly Luke kuechly. And a longer career. And a ring.

  5. Fire the Glazers Says:

With only 10 INTs I can see where he might not get the votes.

  6. Goatfarmer Says:

You realize that he plays inside linebacker and not cornerback or safety, right?

  7. Fire the Glazers Says:

You do realize that the top 50 linebackers in history trend at 20+ INTs, right???

LVD will go down as one of the best BUCS in franchise history.

Very rarely do players hang around with one organization this long…..and that is a testament to his character and his play on the field.

I was at Ray J that hot afternoon the last game Derrick Brooks, Rhonde Barber, and Jon Gruden was all in before they fired Chucky after that December lost to the Raiders and they missed the playoffs.

It was painful to watch Derrick Brooks on the field because he looked so slow compared to all of the rest of the players on the field…..but LVD still is making plays at his age at this point in his career….and that is simply remarkable.

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Its LVD’s intangibles that make his resigning a net positive……the money could have been spent elsewhere but LVD brings experience, leadership….and he helps White to be better. We had no replacement on the roster so would be likely looking at a rookie.
But it’s the statement the Bucs organisation made that mattered the most.

Goatfarmer with the reliable positive post….get a life troll

  12. Austin Says:

All those games we were leading but lost… if our offense could hold the ball for more than a 3 and out we would of been 12-4

Anyone saying “would of” should never be listened to.
