Will Gholston And His Near Miss Of Bucs Super Bowl Party

February 12th, 2023

Ira, it was top-shelf champagne!

This is a classic story.

So just over two years ago, the Bucs made confetti angels in The Licht House turf as the cannons, ordered silent during the Super Bowl by the Chiefs, roared non-stop in the warm, humid, slightly foggy Tampa night.

The Bucs were Super Bowl champions!

Cigars broke out. So did the drinks including champagne. Once the team gathered in the locker room, they had to clean up and head out to the Bucs’ team party in downtown Tampa.

One player damn near got left behind. Will Gholston.

Gholston was in Phoenix last week and stopped by the Bleav Network. There, h3 sat down and told his story.

Gholston admitted he and others were hitting the champagne hard. Gholston then went to his locker with champagne and meditated on how far he and the Bucs have come. He is — and was at the time — the second-longest tenured Bucs player, second only to Lavonte David.

Those guys have been on a bunch of rotten teams including the worst in the NFL in 2015. That night, Gholston was among the NFL’s best.

But as he pondered the road he traveled, Gholston woke up and he was the only guy in the Bucs’ locker room. Where did everyone go?

Gholston explains in this Bleav Network video.

I am avoiding the woke bowl in favor of the Puppy Bowl as long as they do not allow any Cats

    Cute story,
Gholston is a baller, but unfortunately the team took a nap for the whole last season.

Good luck to tough, rugged, ultra intelligent, HOF 3 time Super Bowl participant Suh, who was supposedly not good enough for the team according to pompous buffoon Gump.

Also to RoJo and Justin Watson, who I hope both get to dress and play.

This is the only interest I have in this miserable game today is our old players, commercials and I heard Chris Stapleton may be performing, whom I like.
As for the outcome, I wish both teams could somehow lose, but I, like most readers here, despise the Eagles. So I’ll pull for the Chiefs for the first time since Joe Montana, Derrick Thomas or Christian Okoye played.

Long live Tom Brady. Thanks for disguising a dumpster fire for as long as you did.

Thanks for carrying this franchise on your shoulders, but man that’s a heavy lift even for the GOAT.

Aww I got moderated for saying Licht sucks too early on Super Bowl Sunday?
    Lame

Good luck to Suh, RoJo and Justin Watson

One of my favorite players. He’s been counted out so many times but keeps making the team and keeps making an impact

I love Will Gholston. I think he should be retained for at least one more year. Cap willing.

I am avoiding the woke bowl

Why call it the woke bowl? Is it because both of the starting quarterbacks are black? That upset yah? Are you what Joe calls “The easily offended thought police”? Or are you just an as hole?

  9. Oviedo Jim Says:

I’m from out of town. Is Ira shrinking?

    I’m watching the WokeBowl!

Hopefully a competitive game and the iggles win (lesser of 2 evils),
It will be fun to see the riots in Phillie as the jackarse iggles fans go completely overboard with their celebration!

I actually highly respect this iggles team…they’re very very good.
    KC is just obnoxiously smarmy

  11. Vlad The Impaler Says:

    WokeBowl

Nothing to do with the teams, just the whole NFL woke-fest. Not judging woke one way or the other just saying the NFL is ramming it down our throats

  12. BucsMinisiterFuller Says:

is this a contest to see who can type woke the most in a thread?

What I personally enjoyed the most about tampas Super Bowl victory was the whitehouse Brady speech afterwards where tom explained to all those heartbroken trumpies, how their chosen one actually did lose by 6 million votes in front of president biden to boot! You cant make it up. That was precious! And so true! Go Bucs!
