Tom Brady Gives Bucs Hope

November 16th, 2022

Tom Brady.

It seemed like the Bucs dug a deep hole but were still in first place at the same time.

Yeah, first place in a trash division like the NFC South is like being the hottest nun in a convent. However, there is always a chance that said nun may renege on her vows.

Joe’s good friend Mike Tanier of Football Outsiders believes if given time and weapons like the Bucs provided Tom Brady on Sunday in Munich, the Bucs can hang with damn near every NFC team.

Brady remains perfectly capable of standing in a clean pocket and finding wide-open receivers in the 10- to 20-yard range. The Buccaneers are stout enough on defense and gifted enough at wide receiver (especially with Julio Jones as a third or fourth option and tight end Cade Otton developing) to beat most NFC middleweights. The NFC consists almost entirely of middleweights. And the Bucs will wrap the season with Cardinals-Panthers-Falcons. This is what playoff teams look like in 2022.

Give Brady weapons in a home playoff game (which the Bucs will have if they win the NFC South), and all bets are off.

Would it surprise you if Brady was still able to reach deep in his holster and put the Bucs on his back at 45?

    Jensen status???

  5. SufferingSince76 Says:

Never underestimate Brady. The fact that people continue to do so is mind blowing.

  6. DungyDance Says:

SIR – Joe said in a post a few days ago that such news would not be held back if there was anything to share.

  7. Show Me the TDs Says:

    Because it’s past tents. 😀

  8. Beej Says:

Brady hits those mood range tight window passes better than anyone in the league, absolutely amazing

  9. Bucshot Says:

Wouldn’t want anybody else at the helm……but the GOAT!

  10. LakelandSteve Says:

Lol, “hottest nun in the convent”. Love it Joe

  11. NEfan Says:

Beej, the problem is it looks like most of his passes are in tight windows. My question is, why are they so tight?

  12. Crickett Baker Says:

Y, Joe, that was pretty funny..:D

  13. Deeez NATZ Says:

Tight like demon nuns in a convent!

  14. Tap-Out Says:

He doesn’t need to carry this team … we have a SUPER BOWL ready TEAM! Brady places the ball into a running backs hand or passes to a receiver!

  15. SlyPirate Says:

NEfan … I was wondering the same thing last game.

Why aren’t out WR getting more open? I’ve heard our offense is predictable. If so, that would allow defenders to get into position faster.

  16. Capt.Tim Says:

Brady can carry the team- if he has time to operate.
Ive talked since Preseason, about how lack of cohesion would be the downfall of the O-Line, and ultimately the offense.
Well, after 10 games of growing together- the O-line is developing into a unit.
Now Brady can do the rest.

  17. Chop block Says:

I believe TB could carry the team on his back, but hopefully he won’t have to.
As long as we run the ball effectively against good defensive fronts but that
depends on 2 things. The O-line being able to win the battle in the trenches &
Leftwich staying w/ the run game but not the run a dive on first down BullSh!t.
He has to get creative (Not like Lenny throwing passes to TB creative) & using
White as the #1 back is a good start, hopefully it’ll give Lenny a kick in the ass
that’ll fuel his running game. This team can hang 30 plus on any team in the league
if they effectively run play action & that relies back to square one, the RUN game..

  18. Tony Says:

I know many think this could be his last year but with everything starting to be put behind him soon & with her not gonna be on him like she was it wouldn’t surprise me if he considers coming back. Especially when the only reason this is all going on is because half the team (especially OL) is injured. Well of course maybe not half but a decent amount of the team is.

  19. captivajim Says:

without Brady there would be NO hope !!!!

  20. D-Rok Says:

There’s been a few iconic athletes in the last 40 or so years that have always given their fan-base hope: A few examples might be Montana, Rice, Moss, Sanders, and yes Brady.

  21. D-Rok Says:

My bad, how could I forget Jordan?

  22. Buccos Says:

    No it won’t

  23. Tony Says:

WHAT ABOUT VINNY TESTAVERDE? He played into his 40s & he always gave everyone hope, too!🤣 Probably hope that he’d retire.

  24. Bring back the lawn chairs Says:

I want Brady to carry this team on his back. I like winning.
