Rachaad White Gets His Scepter

November 15th, 2022

Bucs RB Rachaad White.

It just had to be.

We all remember how Rachaad White threw Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs into Nuremberg on Sunday to close the third quarter in the win over Seattle.

White stiff-armed Diggs and sent him flying, airborne, at least three yards downfield. It was a beautiful thing.

The minute Joe saw that happen Joe thought White might win the weekly “Angry Runs” contest on NFL Network. And so it came to be.

Yesterday, the cast of “Good Morning Football” was unanimous in giving White the scepter.

“This has to be Rachaad White, it’s not even close,” Jason McCourty said.

“Quandre Diggs, who is good safety, when you get posterized like that, you get on “Angry Runs,” said closet Bucs fan Peter Schrager.

The man behind “Angry Runs,” Kyle Brandt, claimed White didn’t stiff-arm Diggs. He hit him with a right cross. Brandt was so fired up for White he nearly walked off the “Good Morning Football” set.

So ladies and gentlemen, your winner of “Angry Runs” for this week is Bucs rookie running back Rachaad White.

–“So ladies and gentlemen, your winner…”
Watch out Joe, I think you’re taking a chance these days in using that expression.

    That’s pretty awesome.

  9. Guzzie Says:

Best run angry run of the year

  10. JBBUCS_06 Says:

    Never a doubt

  11. Defense Rules Says:

Got a hunch that play has now put a target on Rachaad’s back. Every DB & LB in the league has now seen that play & each has no intention I’m sure of becoming the next Quandre Diggs.

I can see some similarities to the play where the Steelers Vance MacDonald stiff armed our own Chris Conte into the abyss back in 2018. NFL fans roasted Conte long after that. Surely no DB or LB wants to receive that same treatment.

Somewhere Chris Conte is smiling…..hoping Rachaad got him off the hook.

  19. orlbucfan Says:

I’m still laffin’. Thanks, Joes. And big da##ed kudos to Raashad White! I was afraid the refs were going to nail him for some BS like grabbing the facemask. Great control and great call, and great run!

  20. JD Says:

Again why did it take so long to make the change

  21. D-Rok Says:

I just LOVE how White slowed down, sized him up, gathered himself and then launched Diggs. Epic stuff and I will probably re-watch it 30 more times before the season is over.

  22. Winky Says:

Good for White. He’s a promising player.

His start aligns with the offensive line coming around. Maybe the wait to get the rook more time had some to do with waiting on the line to come together.

    Go Bucs!!

  23. Winky Says:

Ps: if white is right handed, an even more impressed toss!

  24. PSL Bob Says:

That’s one funny bit. White definitely deserved it for sending Diggs airborne. “Ground control to Major Tom” LOL

  25. firethecannons Says:

too bad they don’t have an angry block category, lenny would of won that for the Micah Parson block in the Dallas game.

  26. Nick2 Says:

    AWESOME just AWESOME

  27. rrsrq Says:

Sceptre City – Lenny, Devin White, Rojo and now Rachaad White

  28. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

I think it’s called Alstotting someone.

  29. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

Great run, loved it when it happened. But this guy Brandt is borderline unwatchable. Not clicking on that blowhard again (even though he was correct about the run).

  30. BucsBeBack (Artist formally known as: BringBucsBack) Says:

…between Cox & Johnson. I’m not touching that one! Good!

  31. 1sparkybuc Says:

Al’s tot the had the best angry run of all time against the Cleveland Browns. He stacked ‘em up like cordwood from the d-line to the safety. Second place goes to Jim Taylor for the Packers. He had the whole defense surround him, and moved all of them. They couldn’t stop him, and they couldn’t get him on the ground. Can’t remember the team. Refs finally blew the whistle.
