Chiefs Offense Not Lighting It Up

September 29th, 2022

He’s in Pat Mahomes’ head.

Joe understands how when Bucs fans hear the name “Chiefs” they think first of the Bucs curb-stomping them to win the franchise’s second Super Bowl.

The second thing on their mind is offense.

With Pat Mahomes and Travis Kelce, the Chiefs have one of the most destructive, dangerous offenses in the NFL. Right? Well, not lately.

After blowing out the Cardinals, the Chiefs offense has scored 20 and 17 points respectively against the Chargers and Colts. Joe will step out on a limb here and say the Bucs defense is just a wee bit better than the Chargers’ and the Colts’.

So this may be a chance for the Bucs to jump on the Chiefs. Remember what Warren Sapp used to say, “Just give me 17?” That’s the kind of defense the Bucs need to play Sunday night.

The Bucs already suffocated Dak Prescott and Jameis Winston. They squeezed Aaron Rodgers into a meh performance. The Bucs can do the same to Mahomes.

After all, didn’t Todd Bowles concoct the blueprint to stop Mahomes?

Make Gracie Hunt cry!

Well the Bucs offense is gonna have to remember how to score some points themselves… we haven’t exactly been lighting it up either.

  2. Anon Says:

Bucs are likely to get a lot of their offensive weapons this week something they have not had since the start of the season.

The Bucs defense has to show up again because the Bucs offense is probably not going to all of a sudden hang 30 points on the Chiefs. Expect the offense to be better with (Evans in the game) than it was last week and improve over time. The Bucs may not be a 30 point a game offense this year but with the way the defense is playing, if the offense can consistently put up 25 to 28 points a game they will win most game’s.

Julio and Godwin are practicing so that’s a positive sign to playing Sunday.

Also Lenny and Mike are no longer on the injury report.

3-1 or 2-2….. are we hungry enough or satisfied.

Did we have a blueprint to stop Mahomes or did he have backup tackles on both sides? He darn near made made some plays anyway in that game that would have made it much different if balls were caught.

  7. Anon Says:

Considering last year every team that could used our scheme and beat the Chiefs with overwhelming success I’d say we gave the league the blueprint.

The Chiefs will come out like the Packers did and then try to throw deep later. Our lads are hopefully ready.

Need a complete game. Can Boronmoron step up or at least get out of the way?
