Devin White, Shaq Barrett, Antoine Winfield Make NFL Network’s Top-100

August 14th, 2022

Safety Antoine Winfield.

UPDATED 12:03 a.m. – This is just the beginning.

NFL Network began its annual Top 100 players list on Sunday night and it is not a shock that in the first of four installments debuting the list, the Bucs had two players make it.

Bucs linebacker Devin White is No. 64. Bucs sack king Shaq Barrett ranked No. 86 after a No. 88 ranking last season, and safety Antoine Winfield made his debut at No. 75.

The list is tallied from votes cast only by NFL players.

In the opening minutes of the first episode broadcast tonight, it was revealed that foot-rubbing tight end Rob Gronkowski was on the list but removed when he retired (?) this summer.

Players 51 through 100 will be revealed tonight into the wee hours. The show is still going as Joe typed this.

    No WIRFS, no BRADY???

  2. Goatfarmer Says:

Beeej — chill — I’m sure they simply released the first 10 or 15 or 20.

  3. sasquatch Says:

    Oh yaaay, another pointless list.

  4. Bucsfan13 Says:

My guess the top 5 will be: Rodgers, Mahomes, Allen, Brady, and Donald. In that order. QBs rule in this league. You need more than a serviceable one to have any SB aspirations. Right now, Trask is a serviceable one. I really need him to beat out Gabbert this year. Im comparing his progress to Jordan Love. Love had a redshirt year, and then became Aaron’s backup last year.

  5. Goatfarmer Says:

I think Trask might crack the top 100! I mean, yeah!

  6. Buc king Says:

Goatfarmer your disrespectful attitude towards Trask is noted.

  7. ATLBuc Says:

Brady, Wirfs, Evans, Godwin, David and Vea and maybe Donovan smith

  8. Bucs&Bolts Says:

My favorite list of the off season

  9. Goatfarmer Says:

Aw no man — Trask has taken over the league. He only fumbled once, only had one pick and played against 3rd stringers most of the day. With the QB rating that he amassed, he should be top 40. Based on his stats as a Gator. Did you know, he almost beat Alabama?!

  10. Leopold Stotch Says:

I saw Evans was 56th… Still getting disrespected.

  11. Leopold Stotch Says:

    53rd… Sorry

  12. D1 Says:

    Leopold,

    Disrespect from his peers?

  13. Outsider Says:

Playoff Lenny better not get snubbed

  14. Bucs Win Says:

Goatfarmer I agree but I think you underrated him. Trask definitely earned a spot in the top six Saturday night. The way he masterfully engineered an almost comeback against his peers of future delivery men was probably the grittiest performance in the history of preseason openers. I just hope that when Trask gets his bust in Canton he gets a better sculptor than Renaldo.

    ^^^^^^^^
Goatfarmer talking out of both sides of his mouth again…Trask IS 3rd string, yet you expect him to be good.

  16. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

They need a Top Preseason performers list…lol

  17. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Goatfarmer, I’ll give you this…that’s quality smack. Lol

  18. RPK Says:

Winfield Jr is such a stud

The strip fumble against the Saints saved our Super Bowl season

The strip fumble against the Rams kept us alive.

You can count on this man to show up in big moments.

Stoked to see what he can do with the addition of Logan Ryan

If JTS can make the top-100 this year the D will be truly scary

  19. Buc king Says:

I will let Trask develop under brady and continue to get use to the game speed in the nfl.
He hasn’t had many reps with live action but he looked good in his first appearance.
The pick was a fluke n should of been dirted by him regardlessly.
The fumble was a situation where the oline didn’t do its job n he didn’t take the sack..both costly mistakes in a real game.
With that said I like more of what I seen from him then not.
It be cool to see how he runs with the starters but I doubt it’ll happen due to lame Gabbert.

  20. Brandon Says:

Not sure White or Winfield are quite deserving yet.
