Slimy Saints Have At Least One Edge On Bucs

May 18th, 2022

Lurking.

Joe admits to being triggered by the slimy Saints.

Just when Joe thought the slimy Saints finally got caught by the salary cap grim reaper last year, that friggin team once again seems to be playing games with the cap. How and why they do this is beyond Joe unless (ahem) suits in New York allow them to.

If the slimy Saints re-sign Drew Brees, Joel Glazer ought to be cussing NFL warden Roger Goodell’s ear off, screaming how the NFL accountants need to get off their dead rear ends and start auditing the slimy Saints’ books.

The Bucs could have used Honey Badger but didn’t have the cash to do so. Somehow the slimy Saints found nearly $10 million per year for him. The Bucs, with Chris Godwin on the shelf for who knows how long, could have used Jarvis Landry. Somehow the slimy Saints found the cash.

And the slimy Saints were somehow supposed to be in salary cap hell!

Aside from funny math, Seth Walder of BSPN types that a new computer software model that pumps out predictions doesn’t believe the Bucs are a lock to win the NFC South. Its data suggests the slimy Saints are on their heels.

A major reason is,\ the Bucs have a much tougher schedule.

The Bucs face three solid teams that the Saints — and the rest of the division — don’t see: the Chiefs, Packers and Cowboys. The Saints, meanwhile, get the Raiders, Vikings and Eagles in those same slots.

Those different three games could keep the slimy Saints nipping at the Bucs’ ankles.

Joe isn’t worried about the Packers. The Chiefs and the Cowboys are another matter.

I really don’t understand how they manipulate it either. It’s extremely frustrating. I honestly cannot find anything redeeming about that team either. I don’t like a single thing about em. I hate playing them, cuz someone’s going to get hurt, suspended, and/or we lose. They play so dang borderline, and just dirty. I HATE the Aints.

  2. Bucsfan4ever Says:

    Somehow they make off-the-books payments.

  3. Bojim Says:

Apparently, there is no salary cap hell for anybody.

  4. adam from ny Says:

one grand slam breakfast at dennys coming right up!

  5. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We need to beat them twice……that will even things up.

  6. BUC CHEEKS Says:

F#CK the Saints! Drew Brees too

  7. who dat nation Says:

Just because you don’t understand the cap, doesn’t mean they cheat.

    Go to school, triggered boy

  8. Hodad Says:

Jameis Winston is their QB. They could beat us, but with JW, they will be lucky to win 9 games. The division is ours as long as JW is their QB. Had they been able to pull off getting D. Watson, they would’ve probably made it to the S.B.. With JW, toilet bowl.

  9. Bucs Guy Says:

Joe you are incorrect. The Chiefs game is in Tampa– not on the road.

  10. Beeej Says:

JW was having a decent season before the knee. They figured out exactly how much to ask of him

  11. Buczilla Says:

We are way good at nickel corner and safety, but Mathieu would still have been a good pickup for us. As much as I want us to pick up another receiver, I’d rather go with what we’ve got than adding Landry.

I get it Joe but from an outsider’s perspective couldn’t you say the same thing about the Bucs? The past two years being able to have Tom Brady, Gronk, Suh, JPP, Mike Evans, Fournette, Jensen (and a high paid offensive line), etc…?

  13. HC Grover Says:

LOL Grand Slam Breakfast at the Dennys at the Airport location!

  14. PSL Bob Says:

D-Rome, I was thinking the same thing. We’ve been talking about Licht, the magician for the past two years.

Anyway, I’m not getting my pants bunched up about the schedule. I feel pretty confident we’ll come out of the first four games with a 3-1 record. And, the loss won’t be to the Saints!

  15. ElForado Says:

Joe, how do you get it wrong when it comes to something as important as Tampa playing at home versus the Chiefs? Seriously, that is Biden-level gaffe-ing.

  16. Goatfarmer Says:

Should be calling them the Cheatin’ Saints but it doesn’t have the same alliteration value. Hate the Aints. Hatem hatem hatem.

  17. ModHairKen Says:

No. No. No. The Saints have head cases on that team and a new Head Coach, who has no teeth.

Brees’ arm is toast, and he lost his leadership role when he got on his knees and apologized for his insensitivity a few years back, and then bombed as a TV guy.

The Saints are going to nose dive this year. With or without Noodle Arm Brees.

  18. Gofortheface30 Says:

I’ve seen a lot of people pick Minnesota as the division winner this yr with Green Bay taking a step back. The eagles with AJ Brown and their defensive additions WILL be better than Dallas. Oakland with devante adams isn’t a cake walk, and the chiefs offense was really bad in a lot of moments last yr. Denver and the chargers have better ROSTERS than the chiefs. I’ll take the chiefs and Dallas over up starts with arguable more talent ready to take the next step. I ain’t freaking out over the schedule

  19. SAINTSBABE Says:

LMMFAO, First off you all are whine and are afraid. The Saints own you Buc Buc Buckaroos. Brady gets one get hit and the old man goes down, another and the old man is frustrated, one more hit and that’s lights out! Don’t worry about how the Saints wheel and deal they just “Brilliant” like Dat!

Cannot wait to kick y’alls Bucs! Y’all hanging on Brady nuts like he will be the redeemer of your team…Now that’s a laugh! We all know that Brady is dirty, a headcase for anger management and welp…..a legend in his own mind! Sad! if you all have not notice Brady can’t move the way he used to…relying on his line for protection…Let’s face it we gone get him all the time one way and the other! GO SAINTS!!!!

  20. PassingThru Says:

It’s all in the magic of creative accounting.

The CBA allows teams to play kick the can. Teams structure and restructure the contract so that the salary cap hit comes later… and later… and later. Trust me, Licht knows this and can do it. There are two questions you have to ask though:

    1. Will ownership want to do it?
    2. Is Licht afraid that “Win Now” will lead to losing seasons post-Brady, which in turn could threaten his job security?

  21. AlphaSports 504 Says:

No. No. No. The Saints have head cases on that team and a new Head Coach, who has no teeth.

You do realize the Saints beat the Tampon Bay Butts without their HC, no QB and without scoring a TD. The #1 offense in the NFL was not only shut down but beat up. It was the Saints who retired Brady and they will do it again.

  22. DoooshLaRue Says:

The bigger question is will Drew Brees have to lose his ridiculous hair if he has to strap a helmet back on?

  23. Mike Johnson Says:

Saints will be good this year. Lets hope we can brake their regular season spell of whippin us every year.

  24. SPARKY Says:

I don’t think Honey Badger is any better than what they have now. Getting old. Landry is also old. Brees is done, they would be doing us a favor starting him. Winston scares me, we all know what kind of game he can have, great or terrible. I am afraid we will get one of his 350 yard, 4tds, 40yds rushing, no int. Games.

  25. Aaron Says:

Just like I said doubt us now but it’s already looking good for Who Dat Nation

  26. Aaron Says:

Going To the university mall now to get a new Saints hat and Winston jersey for the game either way

  27. Ash Says:

Packers are still gonna be tough regardless of what the Joe’s think but the saints opponents are likewise going to be tough for them and are probably better than what people think they are

  28. PassingThru Says:

    @Aaron

Just be sure your Winston jersey is fitted with a horse collar.

  29. TJ Says:

Its so hypocritical and ridiculous that the Aints fans talk smack about Brady. How many SB victories/appearances do Dree Brees and the Aints have?. Thats right…one…Dree Brees is one miracle onside kick away from being Dan Marino. We have a SB title “without” Brady. And counting him have DOUBLE the number of Lombardi trophys. The Aints CHOKE in the playoffs EVERY year and find a way to blame it on the refs. The zebras cost a SB in the 11-8 Rams game and the league admitted it screwed up, changed the P.I. rules and named it after Bert Emmanual. We didn’t cry for 10 years. The Aints have had their dirty head coach SUSPENDED for an entire year for his part in condoning ruining players careers with cheap shots and yet they call Brady a cheater. The Saints are and Always will be an ordinary organization that’s sells tickets because of the party town. I can’t wait for the Bucs to demolish them.

  30. SPARKY Says:

Also Aaron, if saintsbabe is actually a woman, I suggest you buy her a Winston shirt with a dog collar.

  31. alton green Says:

Did they hire Biden as the head coach??? They are the only people that can make money disappear and re-appear that quickly

  32. Saints fan Says:

The Saints are going to whip datASS again. Who Dat?

  33. DoooshLaRue Says:

The Saints were among the NFL’s least successful franchises in their first several decades, where they went 20 consecutive seasons without a winning record or qualifying for the playoffs.

Hey Bucs’ Fans…… don’t forget which team got beat by an 0-26 team for our first win?

    The Saints.
    😀

How long did it take the Saints to get to a SB?
    42 years.

Bucs made it in 26 years.

    Eff off you ridiculous bastards.

  34. Ed McCain (SAINTS FAN) Says:

To those of you “sucks” fans out there the NFC South will once again be the Saints kingdom. Healthy QB with a stout O line, Thunder and Lightning in the backfield, a stacked receiving corps, and a STELLAR D !! Quit crying about how the Saints do this year after year on the cap. Just sit home this year and watch us get ring number 2!

  35. Goatfarmer Says:

Hahaha the invasion of Aints cretins does wonders to pull Buc Nation together.

Alton Green, you made me spew my beer. Well played brother.

  36. Goatfarmer Says:

Last thing we heard from Brees on the field

    “Aaaaaaallllllvvvvviiiinnnnnnn!”

    ROTFLMAO

  37. Eddie Marz Says:

The Saints cost us the Super Bowl last year and cost Tom Brady an MVP award. Those two loss’s really hurt. Better take them seriously, they seem to have our number. And don’t put down Jameis either, he’ll be a great QB for a long time in this league. Unfair to judge him by his time with The Bucs. We can beat them but we can’t overlook them. GOBUCS!
