Shaq Barrett Wants To Send Tom Brady Out The Right Way — If He Retires

May 25th, 2022

Bucs sack king Shaq Barrett.

All signs seem to point toward Tom Brady throwing in the towel for good after this season. That doesn’t mean he will, but it sure looks that way.

Bucs sack king Shaq Barrett confessed he has no inside intel with Brady and his future plans. But yeah, Shaq said, this seems like Brady’s last year and Shaq wants to make it memorable for all.

Shaq was asked if this is a Super Bowl-or-bust season since it appears Brady will walk.

“I’m going to approach it that way for sure,” Shaq said. “Hopefully we can send him out on the highest note possible.

“Yeah, start now. Start putting the work in now. If it is his last ride I’m going to make sure I can do everything I can to make sure we send him out on top of the mountain.”

As for Brady retiring and then having his rapture, Shaq was very thankful. He’s been on a team before that was a Super Bowl winner whose star quarterback retired, Peyton Manning. And while the Broncos had a winning record at 9-7 the year after Manning hung it up, the Broncos haven’t had a winning record since.

Shaq was hoping not to have a repeat of that so soon with the Bucs.

“I just wasn’t ready for life without Tom yet,” Shaq said.

Joe thinks just about every Bucs fan will agree.

Life without Tom will hopefully be better than life before Tom.

Life without the best to ever do it, by definition, will never be as good.

    Kyle Trask? Puhleeeeez!

  3. David Says:

That’s a good point. I am sure most players probably feel a little added incentive to send Brady out with another ring.

Warriors always want to go out on top or die trying….theres no in between. The more warrior Comrades you have, the better it gets. Lets get at it Mr. Barrett.

Whatever you need for motivation. Still no guarantees. If we suffer injuries to our CBs this year the way we did in ‘21, it will be a similar uphill climb. Gotta stay healthy.

Players don’t try harder before it COULD BE someone else’s last season. Any season could be every player’s last season. They play as hard as they can for themselves. Not Brady, or Bettis, or anyone else.

Brandon maybe you should read the article again. GOBUCS!
