What Drove Tom Brady Back To The Bucs?

March 14th, 2022

“Oh Tom, you really are worthless scrubbing the kitchen floor.”

Tom Brady initially retired (?) because he claimed he wanted to spend more time with his family.

Perhaps that may have been what chased him back to the Bucs?

Joe, sarcastically, has posted Twitter messages making fun of Brady being home, washing dishes, driving the kids to school, going to youth hockey games and plays, all while thinking, “Man, I could be playing football.”

Or could it have been that Brady’s wife Gisele Bündchen got sick of her husband moping around the house so much that she chased him back to football? Either way, it is fun to think Brady’s life became a real-life scene from the TV show “Seinfeld.”

That is a great Seinfeld Kramer moment. Thanks for that, Joe. And probably close to the truth.

But probably it is the bitter taste of that last game. Knowing it should have been won. Knowing that they should have also gone on to beat SF and Cincy.

    “Unfinished business”. Vengeance.

  2. August 1976 Buc Says:

All the BullSpit said by so many, how Brady was going somewhere because the Bucs were just idiots, we the shoe fits well on the actual idiots, meaning the posters that rag on BA constantly or some other area of the team. All the smack talked by some is just a bunch of egg on your face. Better wash off the egg soon Listfrmafar, it gets nasty. Enjoy your crow buddy.
    GO BUCS!!!!!

Tampa Bay beats San Francisco Bay

I’m not sure about other marriages but mine gets old when I’m not busy and I’m “moping around the house“ or cabin fever. I even turn to going with my wife to the grocery store or out shopping and about 30 minutes of that I’m on her about leaving so she likes me staying busy. No matter what though it’s GREAT knowing ole #12 will be back for another season. 😋🍻

  5. Joe in Michigan Says:

I think it was Brady reading my comments on JBF and the hope that I had that he’d come back! Hahaha, jk

  6. Oracle of Copperhead Road Says:

Called it. I officially said that Brady might, maybe, possibly, 1 chance in a blue moon while hill was freezing over during the 8th leap year of the summer solstice come back. Haley’s comet is in there some where too. Also Florio sux. The Great Oracle has spoken.

  7. Hodad Says:

Now that his sons are old enough to appreciate being around an NFL team, how cool, and fun it is they may have said don’t quit dad! If we’re going to hang out somewhere, why not One Buc Place with uncle Gronky?

  8. Beeej Says:

Best comment I’ve seen was he couldn’t figure out the parking in the pickup line at his kids school

  9. ModHairKen Says:

These kinds of snide jokes do not help. Say what you want, but TB’s wife and family are making a sacrifice because he has the money and she has the money to not need him to be distracted six days a week for the 30 or so weeks of the NFL year.

How about just a gracious thank you to Gisele and the kids and leave it at that?

  10. Bird Says:

    Haha

Yah joes i think it was paragraph 2 excuse. He was moping around house in his sweats all day with a hoodie. Not showering. With A box of tissues and his voice cracked when he spoke.

    Thank you giselle.

Honestly, he will work out with receivers / tight ends on his own. And does not need to be at one buc until july. He spends half a year being a father / husband and half a year being the GOAT

    Lets goooooooooooooo!

Playing football in Florida is just too much fun- especially when you have Evans, Godwin and probably Gronk to throw to and BA as Coach who lets you have side gigs during the season.

  12. Wild Bill Says:

Kind of embarrassing actually. Is Tom pushy whipped (haha spell checked). Or did his wife order him to unretire because his moping was driving her nuts. It sure wasn’t about money. So now he likely returns to a somewhat depleted team. Can they be a real Super Bowl contender? If so they need to hang onto some key free agents and recruit some fresh blood as well. Should be a very interesting off season.

  13. Stone crab sam Says:

Yes sir, sometimes you gotta go to work to get a day off!

  14. Captain Oblivious Says:

I’m waiting to see the hostage video of Giselle awkwardly saying she is happy that her husband is playing football next season.

I expected TB12 to unretire but I thought he would play for the 49ers. His sudden retirement seemed like an overreaction to the Bucs disappointing game against the Rams.

Anyway, as a TB12 fan, you will have me posting an occasional comment here for another season. I hope part of the deal was Brady insisting that the Bucs pick up a couple of elite FAs on defense. They need to strengthen the CB room and improve the pass rush.

When the team becomes somewhat depleted you retool rather than tear down and rebuild. The return of TB makes all of the difference in what we are doing this off-season. Now we will seriously be in the hunt for another Limbardi. This time we can do it without the likes of AB or his cousin DW.

    LFG!

  16. JimbobBucsFan Says:

That’s a Lombardi Trophy and not limburger cheese! 😁
