Shaun King: Steelers Will Get Deshaun Watson

March 10th, 2022

Relays NFL tip.

A former playoff-winning Bucs quarterback took to social media yesterday to explain to his many followers a rumored target of the Bucs will be playing elsewhere this fall.

Former Bucs quarterback Shaun King, one of only four quarterbacks to lead the Bucs to an NFC Championship game, now words for VSiN, Vegas Sports and Information Network. It’s a nationally broadcast and streaming channel with its studios located at Circa in Las Vegas. King’s show and the station on sports wagering. It was once owned by Brent Musberger.

After a few years as an offensive assistant at South Florida, King moved to Sin City to resume his broadcasting career. If you follow King on social media, he stays close with former NFL players and coaches. And those guys tend to hear interesting scuttlebutt before the general public does.

King took to Twitter yesterday claiming as soon as embattled Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson clears his legal hassles, a trade will go down within hours, shipping Watson to the Steelers.

@realshaunking: Hearing if things go well friday Deshaun Watson to the steelers is happening soon after.

Of course, the Steelers are in the same boat as the Bucs. They need a quarterback. Also like the Bucs, the Steelers have a pretty good team.

Earlier this offseason, Watson, who has a no-trade clause, reportedly added the Bucs to his wish list of landing spots. The Bucs are rumored to be ready to take a “big swing” at Watson once there is more clarity to his legal hassles.

Shaun King lives in the land of $2 prime rib?

    Shocking…….

  2. Tim Says:

Fine with me. I don’t care about his talent, Watson is toxic. It especially doesn’t make sense for the Bucs to try to acquire him. Don’t the Bucs have two female coaches? Try selling Watson to them. While you’re at it, try selling him being the face of the Bucs to all their sponsors and business partners. Nope, ain’t gonna happen.

watson last seen roaming aisle 11 at publix with a pack of celery stalks in hand…

the only problem is this publix is in thailand 🙂

  4. ClwJB Says:

They looked past Big Ben, literally, as many women were not able too…seems like the right fit n Pittsburg

  5. Bird Says:

Now its lovie calling shots in houston so anything is possible with that dumb dumb. Knowing he might just trade player to a friend of his?

But most reasonable teams just do not trade in same conference. Russel wilson to AFC. Wentz to NFC. Cause watson is not free agent who has right to go where he wants.

  6. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Stop with the nonsense that Watson would become a Buc…..we don’t have the money or draft capital to acquire him and Darcy doesn’t like him very much.

  7. Gofortheface30 Says:

And jussst like that, the Bucs will be left holding their dik with every major quarterback going to teams not named the Bucs. Horrible draft for quarterbacks, only remedial Gator fans look forward to a year of god damn Kyle trask, 1oclock games, half filled stadiums, and a 4-13 yr. Can’t wait!

  8. Niles Says:

Dassault is pleading the Fifth at his deposition Friday. A well trained criminal.

    GoBucs!

  11. Francisco Guzman Says:

What are the squealers offering houston? They have sooo many holes including OL.

  12. 1Gr8Buc Says:

Beat writer in Pittsburg says Steelers have no interest in Watson….

  13. Costa Rica John Says:

Brett Favre is still available and wants one more shot. 😂

  14. T REX Says:

I look at it like this…

Brady just had his best season and hauled ass as fast as he could from here.

THAT send off bad vibes to everyone else.

    This staff blows.

  15. LJ'sDaddy Says:

Shaun King. The only Bucs quarterback to lead his team to an NFC Championship and lose without a touchdown.

  16. SKBucsFan Says:

That’s good to hear. The only thing that worries me know is Licht may feel the urge to drat a QB in the first round. We have so many other needs.

  17. Buc4evr Says:

Good, I hope he ends up with the Steelers, that way Litch won’t be tempted. I have this funny feeling that Jameis is coming back. Lol.

  18. JimBuc2 Says:

I remember when character counted in player evaluations. That went by the wayside when Uber groping, serial lying, shoplifter, ‘Crablegs’ Jameis Jackwagon rewrote the meaning of integrity. And here comes Deshaun Watson, a hedonistic prick with 20 different women alledging far more serious crimes. Not one single attempt at redemption from the Watson camp. No mea culpa. No humility, no contrition at all. Juxtasposed against Tom Brady seeking out his beaming wife and children as SB confetti rained down upon him affords some clarity; sharpening the contrast between good, and bad character. DeShaun Watson’s flawed character is a stain that won’t wash out; he does not deserve Buccaneer uniform. No thanks.
    Go Bucs!

Makes sense Brian Flores is there now and hes a big Watson fan for some odd reason.

    “Costa Rica John Says:

I’d perfer that to the available scumbuckets.

  21. DrunkInYbor Says:

Good. I would rather lose a couple games then sell my soul for that dirt bag ( allegedly) ( 22 ×)

  22. SlyPirate Says:

Seahawks will make a better offer than the Steelers.

  23. New England Patriots Fan Says:

    Panthers offer for Watson

Per the report, the Panthers believe they’ll have to surrender at least three first-round picks, another draft pick, and a young player or two. players would include safety Jeremy Chinn, defensive end Brian Burns, defensive tackle Derrick Brown, and/or cornerback Jaycee Horn.

3 firsts and that’s contending with Seattle Pitt and Bucs.

  24. Your Mom Says:

I sure hope he goes to the Steelers and not here. We don’t need another Winston here again.

  25. Brazen Zebra Says:

Never say never? Maybe Brady plays again. Maybe Gronk stays, and Brady plays one last season with the Bucs as a 45 year old QB. Could happen.

  26. Mad Danny Says:

Bucs are not going after Baker Mayfield. Absurd.
