Sean McVay Tired Of Tom Brady

March 29th, 2022

Rams coach Sean McVay.

The Rams and coach Sean McVay are defending Super Bowl champions and their final three postseason games were each a nail-biter.

None more so than the win over the Bucs in the divisional round, where the Rams completed a virtual Hail Mary to Cooper Kupp (gee, who didn’t think he might be targeted?) that set up a game-winning field goal by Matt Gay in the final seconds.

So when Bucs quarterback Tom Brady retired, McVay thought that was one less hassle of a team he would have to deal with in the playoffs. Whoops!

Brady unretired and it seemed to irk McVay, who spoke about the return of Brady at the NFL owners’ meetings in Palm Beach this week, as documented by Mike Fisher of SI.com.

Said the coach: “I was thinking, ‘S—, man, can we get this guy the hell out of this league?’”

Joe isn’t sure why McVay has his briefs bunched up unless he got shut off by his Ukrainian fiancée, the model Veronika Khomyn. McVay has had great success against Brady, at least when Brady has been in Tampa.

The Rams are 3-0 against Brady and the Bucs. And you can just bet that when the Bucs play the Rams this fall, Brady is going to be one motivated MOFO.

So, maybe McVay should worry about Brady?

It literally irks me how we haven’t been able to beat the Rams or Saints consistently….

  2. Bird Says:

How does he have time to prep/gameplan/coach with that at home!

  3. BuxfaninTX Says:

Well I’m tired of his smug “I’m so cool” attitude

  4. SlyPirate Says:

    Veronika Khomyn is ridiculous.

I didn’t read a word of this article and yet it’s my favorite of the week

  5. Joe Says:

  6. DBS Says:

Pretty obvious who didn’t think Kupp would be targeted. Damn sure did not try to cover him very well.

  7. Iamabuc Says:

Wrong words to say, MacVey. Brady is coming for you this season…and you can take that to the bank. Like he didn’t have a reason to come for you…Tom has not forgotten last game, fyi. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

  8. SPARKY Says:

Um, ya, forgot what I was gonna say. Thanks for the picture Joe.

  9. HomerSimpsonRocks Says:

That look on his face. Like the high school nerd who somehow got a date worth the prom Queen.

  10. Iamabuc Says:

….and I’ll bet MacVey won’t be that lucky this time around.

  11. Bucs Fan 33 Says:

Cam Jordan called us soft and he’s absolutely correct. They don’t respect us at all. The Saints have a top 5 defense, and the key to beating them is to play efficiently and smart. We need to limit turnovers on offense and stop trying to go for the “shot play” when it’s not there. I would like us to run more. We have one the best run blocking G in Shaq Mason. Let’s use that as an advantage. The defense needs to limit penalties and create turnovers. Something they didn’t do this past season. When we beat them in the playoffs, Brady played smart and didn’t have any turnovers, and the defense created turnovers. And Malcolm Jenkins absolutely owns Gronk. Gronk has been a no show when we played the Saints. He must play better.

In regards to the Rams, it’s always been the same thing. We get down early because the offense is stagnant and the defense can’t stop the Rams. We become one dimensional on offense and the Rams pass rushers tee off on Brady, and he starts making mistakes. I read an article on the Rams defensive scheme and how it’s designed to limit big plays. GB had success against the Rams, and Aaron Rodgers said the key to beating the Rams is to be patient. Run the ball and take the short pass and check down until the Rams come out of their shell and then take the shot play. GB ran the ball down their throat and totally dominated them. Meanwhile, Brady was the leading rusher when we played them in the regular season.

  12. Jerry Says:

Brady can beat the Rams. It’s Todd Bowles who can’t.

  13. SOEbuc Says:

McVay mad because he had to pay for all that young girls plastic surgery and Gisele was totally legit, making her that much hotter in her top model years.

  14. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

The Rams and the Saints have some things in common. They can get pressure with only 4 men, so that leaves plenty in coverage, and they are both very physical teams.
We don’t seem to do very well against these types of teams.

  15. RIs_Buc Says:

Mcvay and Payton both know how to beat us. As much as I hate them, they always outscheme our defense.

I’ve correctly predicted all those L’s the last 2 yrs BUT…..
Sean Payton is gone & Brady will b at his best vs LA so..
This year we go 2-1 vs Saints and Rams.

  16. Ash Says:

Guess the pile of injuries had nothing to do with it? Smh people see what they want to see I guess go bucs.

  17. Lawrence Says:

Screw Sean McVay and the Rams. The GOAT is going to burn them and the Saints for that stupid call in New Orleans and that other lousy call in the Rams game. Let McVay go play with his big fake mam’s Barbie Doll and let the GOAT do what he does best. Play like a god and take the rest of that other crybaby Manning’s records and set records that’ll never be broken.

  18. catcard202 Says:

I’m of the impression that McVay’s comments were from a point of respect for TB12…Because he knows the Rams chances of defending that SB title run through Tampa w/ Brady back in the fold.

  19. Listnfrmafar Says:

Brady as a Patriot is 5-1 against the Rams, 0-3 as a Buc. It’s a BA, BL, Toilet Bowel issue.

  20. Trey Long Says:

Pass defense was poor last year, especially coaching.
    Idk how that gets fixed.

  21. Listnfrmafar Says:

Oh, Brady’s record against Saints is 4-5 and 4 of the losses were under BA. Ya see a.common denominator here?

  22. Listnfrmafar Says:

    5-5 counting 2020 playoff game.

  23. Lawrence Says:

The GOAT is something we will NEVER see again. That once in a hundred years kind of person. A Mozart, Hendrix, Eddie Van Halen. Rare talent that makes them seem almost beyond human. Be glad he’s back and giving all of us another chance to witness that greatness. All who line up against him, coach against him, play with him are getting a chance they will remember for the rest of their lives. Don’t criticize his coming back, CELEBRATE IT!!! If Brady takes all the records a quarterback can take and set records nobody will ever break then be grateful that you had the chance to play with or against, coach for or against or just to witness him as a fan because it will be something to remember for the rest of your lives and win or lose those memories will be priceless.

  24. SufferingSince76 Says:

You guys are a hoot. The Bucs beat NO when it counted. In the playoffs on the way to the super bowl. And NO didn’t even make the playoffs last year. They are nothing without Brees and Peyton.

  25. Aaron Says:

Lol Who Dat Who Dat Dat another one y’all can’t bet thats why Shady asked Brees not to come back but still shutout him lol NO seen the real GOAT number 9

It’s because we’ve had the same, terrible, offensive game plan every time we’ve played them. Almost no rushing attempts, lots of deep throws, which has led to early turnovers and deficits… then we become 1-dimensional, and it just continues.

The almost comeback in the playoffs was a great 2nd half, but we have had terrible game plans that have been blown apart in the 1st quarter in pretty much every game against these 2 teams the past few years. That’s on coaching.

  27. CalBucsFan Says:

TB is Arians proxy, he is his gunslinger, and every other coach in the league knows it.

Bucs need to have more success running the ball to make the offensive that much more difficult to read for defenses because right now, the Rams have the Bucs number. That playoff game never should have come down the Rams even having a shot a making a successful hail mary pass, let alone doing it.

  28. BUCCOBRUCE Says:

Coming from someone who was stealing all the airtime of post superbowl interviews.

  29. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Beating the Rams is simple…..we just have to outscore them.

I will say this…..when it comes to partners McVay & Brady both did quite well.

  30. Crickett Baker Says:

    Nice post Lawrence!

  31. Craig Says:

The Rams spent everything to win last year’s Stupor Bowl. They are now in a downward spiral, with no good draft picks in the near future.

The Bucs don’t need to worry about them this season, as their position depth is going to fail them. I’d say that McVay will be close to a hot seat at the end of the season.

The Bucs just need to play a more physical game against them and the Saints. The rest should be easy to just outscore.

  32. steele Says:

    I’m sick of Sean McVay.

  33. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Talk about a dude that outkicked his coverage!

  34. Vinny Testaverde Says:

Once I saw this tulip tip toe around the sidelines and into they locker room at halftime of the regular season matchup…I wanted him and his team to go down…and go down hard. Instead…lucky break after lucky break came their way…Cards in the playoffs who were lousy by season’s end, didn’t have to go to Lambeau…caught the Bucs sleepwalking and then not having to play the Chiefs in the SB. They earned the title…but it still “frosts my shorts”. Now McVay got married…they lost some players and Stafford won’t as well moving forward me thinks.

  35. Bojim Says:

Who cares what he says. We’ll beat them this year. We’ll sweep the Saints too.

  36. SB Says:

Will Smith is getting tired of McVay!

  37. BillyBucco Says:

Can’t wait to see the new coach change Winston AGAIN
Don’t think they will have a chance against us.

The Rams have lost a lot of good players and signed others like us.
Of course McVay wants him gone.
The NFC would have been a breeze for them this year.

As far as the Rams and Saints against Brady, everyone and I mean EVERYONE knows to beat Brady you gotta be successful rushing 4 and both those teams excel at it.

SIDE NOTE Im actually excited about giving up some pass blocking to excel at running the ball. Hainsey is a better run blocker. Mason is a better run blocker.
The true way to beat those teams is to run on them when they are hell bent on rushing Brady.

That’s why SF beat them like 6 straight times.
    It sure wasn’t Garrapolo

  38. GoatWatcher Says:

Which one is the Rams coach?

  39. Pittbucfan Says:

    F@#k Sean Mcvay!!

  40. Leda Says:

Remember that Brady/Patriots crushed Rams in SB

  41. unbelievable Says:

Oh he def outkicked his coverage…

Pretty sure she’s only 25 too. Crazy.

I mean I married a younger woman too… but not THAT much younger than me. LOL

  42. Listnfrmafar Says:

  44. Al Pastor Says:

Sean McVay has given me a hatred of Soup

  45. David Says:

Saints have Andy Dalton now. Not sure if he’s starting or not, either way it’s no threat

  52. Listnfrmafar Says:

Winston is supposed to start, Dalton is his backup

  53. LakelandSteve Says:

There is supposed to be a wheat shortage in Ukraine because of the war which will affect prices around the world. Better check McVays fiancé’s bra I think she may have most of the missing wheat in there.

  54. LakelandSteve Says:

Did anyone notice that McVay always looks like Howdy Doody when he smiles. Almost kind of spooky.

  55. Bearel Says:

“Trophy”… trophy rings, trophy wives,, trophy records…trophies…trophies…trophies. When will tommy ever have enough to fill that big, black, empty hole in his soul – you didn’t even last a month! Big, dark, empty black hole…silent, no cheering, no fireworks, no parades, no trophies, no trophy wife, no kids… just silence tommy…just you, the darkness and silence.

  56. alton d green Says:

well I guess the Bucs have gotten on the woke/equity band wagon. The decisions that Bowles has made in the past would get Jesus fired

  57. alton d green Says:
