The Bucs Finally Lose A Coach

There will be at least one change on the Bucs’ coaching staff.
Even though the Bucs were able to retain both defensive coordinator Todd Bowles and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich, the coaching staff will not return as one.
Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, new Jags coach Doug Pederson hired Caldwell to run his defense.
Caldwell, 51, spent spent two years working as the Eagles linebackers coach at the same time Pederson was the Eagles’ quarterback coach. He also was a teammate of Pederson during their playing days.
A former NFL player linebacker, Caldwell, worked with Bowles since 2013 — from the Cardinals to the Jets and to the Bucs. He has been the Bucs’ inside linebackers coach all three seasons of the Bucco Bruce Arians regime.
Coaching Lavonte David and Devin White helps make a coach look good.
… Joe wonders if Bucs free agent inside linebacker Kevin Minter might follow his position coach if Jacksonville puts a modest two-year contract in front of him?

I don’t believe we do… If Bowles or BL got head coaching jobs we would have received a few third round picks.
Or if a black staff member becomes a GM we would receive draft picks.
I don’t think draft picks are awarded for DC/OC jobs.

This is a little tidbit right here that really outta show fans how good of a coach BA is.
His system and his staff is very well respected across the league. Pederson arent just some lowtime Jags hire he has been parts of some really good staffs. Not to mention SuperBowl winning HC(dont know how in the world the Eagles thought canning him was a good idea).
Todd the Godd getting interviews. Byron getting interviews. This staff has really made a name for itself across the league. Kudous to Bruce for builing a great staff(very underestimeted aspect for HCs) and kudos to the Glazers for hiring all the people Bruce wanted. Remember, we have the biggest staff across the leahue and that dont come cheap.
Judging by everything Ive heard from Bruce I think the sucess of his coaching staff means a great deal to him. I predict his Tree will be one of the most regarded in the next generation………..Tampa Bay will reep the most benefits as we get the pick of the litter. Shame on any of you fools who are wishing for new coordinators from outside the system……..Thats the type of thinking that created the Lost Decade……..I guess like they say people dont like to change their way if thinking even if its a change for the better.

Even if we dont get a pick we danged well better not hire some dumb white idiot to replace Caldwell. Whites are worthless drains on the team that have no value.
Maybe if you could hire Sean Payton as an assistant it might be worth it……But Im not all that sure he is worth it. Otherwise every dumb white you hire is basically tossing a precious draft pick in the toilet as far as Im concerned. These whites are a waste thats worth absolutly nothing………Maybe if its a chick its not a bad future investment. I could see a new rule coming.

There might be a reason they had separate coaches for ILB and OLB, in which case having Foote take over all LBs may not make sense. We’ll see, but OLB in this system is a hybrid DE/LB and Foote might have enough on his hands already. I’d like to see another qualified coach added.

Is he like Cher or Madonna? According to the article, he just goes by CALDWELL. Yes, I know his first name but it isn’t in the article.
