“You’re In Trouble”

January 17th, 2022

Praise from Bucco Bruce Arians.

Here is something that may have slipped past you like it did Joe, only because Joe has tunnel vision for the now.

Tom Brady is 5-0 in postseason games with the Bucs. That’s some sick s(p)it.

And yesterday, even down a Pro Bowl offensive linemen, Brady still found a way to put 31 points on the board despite being sacked four times. So yesterday after the game, Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians sang the praises of his 44-year old signal-caller.

“It’s like once Tom figures you out man, you’re in trouble,” Arians said, repeating his one-liner from last week.

Of course it helps to have played the Eagles in the regular season. But playing in a wind storm not conducive for passing while down a lineman, it didn’t bother Brady very much, Arians said.

“The wind didn’t even affect him at all and he was extremely accurate on the right guys,” Arians said. “That was a dime that he threw to Mike [Evans] for that long touchdown.

“He’s a surgeon. Once he figures you out and we can put him in a position to protect him, he’s going to eat you up.”

Joe still cannot believe how fortunate the Bucs are to have Brady. Not only did he turn this franchise around by himself, as an old man in NFL years, he just wins.

Ring of Honor for Brady? To hell with that. Brady needs the Lee Roy Selmon treatment.

Brady needs a statue outside the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway and I-75 from the Florida-Georgia state line to Naples named the “Tom Brady Expressway.”

Get on it, Bucs fan Governor Ron!

Agreed. What he has done for us is incalculable! MVP is a understatement…

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

A statue at Raymond James Stadium would be nice….

    Yep!

It has become “The Buccaneer Way”.

  9. Stone crab sam Says:

Tom Brady is a man amongst boys. Still a mortal, but shows up with Herculean effort and results!

  10. VSyl Says:

This guy should have a personal title on the HoF and be inducted right now as the only player to ever achieve this honor while still active. It’s amazing what we are witnessing.

  11. Lesko_Brandon Says:

Brady brought recognition to the city of Tampa. Maybe we should change the name of our airport toTom Brady International Airport ! Drop mic !

  12. DG060 Says:

Self confessed pre Buc Tom Brady hater.
Now? Put a statue up in front of Raymond James for what he’s done to this organization. Singlandedly moved a franchise from crap to elite in less than 2 yrs. It’s just insanity.

  13. Bird Says:

So without wirfs the line was the same for the previous guy
The defense was the same for the previous guy except winfield
Receivers as backups and mike. Previous guy had godwin
Tight end – gronk dont count cause he was package deal with brady
    Running backs same no names

So there was all these excuses before- no line ..defense sucks…no run game. All brady does is win.

But lets not give him any credit says orl yuc fan. 😂
    Only defense gets credit. 😂

  14. Listnfrmafar Says:

How many playoff wins versus losses does the reigning MVP have in GB? So all you clowns that say he crumbles under pressure witness the four sacks yesterday while he still hung in there to play the entire game. I will say this the roughing the passer play,.the dlineman went right at his knee while he had all his weight on it and it bowed. Scarey moment.

  15. Bobby M. Says:

Arians constantly comments how successful the team is once Brady figures the defense out. This is a big part of why I don’t see Leftwich being all that great of an OC, particularly to a team looking to groom a young QB. There’s not many OCs that would like bad with Brady at center. If he doesn’t like the play, he’s changing it. When we go into hurry up mode, he’s calling his own plays…..Leftwich leaves and its next man up. Do you really think the offense will suffer due to Leftwich taking another job?…..Doubtful.

  16. Wild Bill Says:

I love Brady’s game management skills. He deftly analyzes his opponents strengths and weaknesses and picks the opponents defenses apart. If they have a weakness or a tendency he finds and exploits it. He is a team leader, coach, analyst and quarterback all in one package. And he has a great positive personality on top of it all. Aron Rodgers has at least as great physical skills, but what a self centered cold fish compared to Brady. Now after Brady my next favorite qb is Patrick Mahomes. What a gifted athlete! He moves around the field in super smooth overdrive. Makes outstanding throws from every possible angle and from the pocket or on a dead run. He is the most exciting qb in football right now. Hope to see him and Brady head to head in this year’s SB with both teams at full strength.

  17. Casual Observer Says:

A good case can be made that Brady is the greatest athlete in history – at least for team sports. So, Joe is not overrating him.

  18. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

HWY 60 needs to be renamed “Tom Brady Blvd”!
Honestly, I was surprised the Eagles got 4 sacks yesterday.
Wells is not a very good replacement for Wirfs.

  19. Jeff Says:

Ring of honor and a statue. If he wins the SB we start renaming streets.

  20. Leda Says:

Brady was sacked four!!! times. It can’t not happen again.

  21. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilaints told us belichick was a genius what happened? Belichick has a history without Brady and it is not pretty. Even with Brady belichick defenses have given up a lot of points in playoff games check the average’s. Don’t nitpick one game look at the body of work.

  22. Youngbucs Says:

Joe you also miss the fact they have scored over 30 in all 5 games!

  23. Anonymous Says:

    Change 275 to TB12

  24. Kalind Says:

    Change 275 to TB12

  25. ocala Says:

Brady is the best player in the league and it is not even close. I am hoping Rodgers is given the MVP the night before the Bucs play them in the NFC Championship game.

Here is how Brady has done the last 5 seasons:
    2020 Super Bowl Winner
2019 Lost in the playoffs with basically a practice squad starting on offense
    2018 Super Bowl Winner
2017 Lost in Super Bowl despite throwing for over 500 yards and 3 TD’s
    2016 Super Bowl Winner

  26. Defense Rules Says:

In fairness to Wells, one of the announcers mentioned that he was banged up too, but hung in there. If Wirfs can’t go on Sunday, I’d expect to see Stinnie in the game & someone else shifted over to RT. Cappa comes to mind; even though he played LT in college, Bucs drafted him to be our RT, then changed their mind. Marpet also played tackle in college. Bucs have options, but I’d sure much prefer to see Tristan out there.

  27. Ex-Pats-Fan Says:

I claim that the NE Patriots will not win another SB until they honor Brady with a statue in Bostons Fanuel Hall.

  28. Buddha Says:

Bobby M., Read yesterday’s full front page NY Times feature piece on Lefty. I love Brady, but Lefty is a damn good coordinator.

  29. Leighroy Says:

Who gives a ripe F about the patriots? Get out of here!

  30. PSL Bob Says:

I wonder how many people on this site were Brady fans before he became a Buc. I certainly wasn’t. But once you’re dialed in to his impact on the whole team, the confidence he brings to everyone around him, and the mentality that we’re going to win every day, he’s won a legion of converts. The man is unbelievable!

  31. Bird Says:

Tom Brady’s average time to throw of 2.17 seconds was the fastest by any qualifying quarterback in a game this season.

    @TomBrady by Air Yards
    🔸 Under 10: 25/31, 184 yards, TD
    🔸 Over 10: 4/5, 87 yards, TD

  32. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

Ex Pats fan please go away because once Brady retires you won’t root for the Bucs afterwards. You were never a Pat’s fan if it took only one player for you to jump that ship. We don’t need bandwagon fans around here

  33. mike Says:

So great to have Brady. Especially since we traded away Josh Allen

  34. SufferingSince76 Says:

I personally don’t mind bandwagon fans. The more, the merrier!

  35. stpetebucsfan Says:

    What an incredible freaking difference!!!

We go from the ultimate spoiled entitled athlete in JW…a guy who had to beat a rape charge out of college along with his F her in the P remarks, shoplifting etc. He was a young kid so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Then he got busted for “allegedly” groping an Uber driver at 3AM. The ONLY thing JW could have done to call attention more to his own rape charges would have been to literally rape a woman. His pic had to come down off of RayJay and he split our fanbase and perhaps for awhile even our locker room.

ONE player set this franchise back five years. ONE player ERASED all of that with first one and now a second majestic season!!! Brady has individually given the Bucs credibility and a winning attitude. And oh yeah…some freaking class!

And just so I’m not misconstrued or considered a racist. The Bucs have a lot of class acts including ME13 who one of these years will finally win the Walter Payton award. ME13 deserves as much love from us as TB12. He had to endure not just JW but some other QB’s that were not prime time and he sucked it up and just put up numbers and NEVER once complained.

We draft CG14 put him in the slot and he explodes and was ME13 a baby like AB whining because CG’s talent cost him targets.

Some posters here love to point out what a special talent AB is…YEAH if EVERYTHING goes his way. Does anybody believe AB would have endured all that ME13 has as a Buc. Yes AB has tons of talent but he’s not much of a real man…in fact when it comes to manhood AB is not a pimple on ME’s arse!

Hopefully Licht can keep enough of this team together to lure Brady back for another year or two. The transition to Trask needs more time if it’s going to be smooth. The next few weeks will determine a lot about the future of this team. The roster in September will be very different from what we have now.

  37. mg Says:

    DBBF99
So I’m a TB-12 fan, who has become a fan of the bucs.
    Not really a big deal.

  38. SomeGuy Says:

Ring of honor? Have all his emails for the last decade been reviewed for purity of thought and language? We need to verify that he has never used anything from the forbidden word list first.

  39. Listnfrmafar Says:

Since Brady left Patriots Belichick is 17-17 Brady is 29-9. Things thank make you go hmm.

  40. #1bucsfan Says:

Put a statue up for him please. If not now then deff when he brings us another SB.

  41. DavidBigBucFan99 Says:

Brady should run for mayor of Tampa. Can anyone say landslide?

  42. Crickett Baker Says:

There is no longer a reason that I can find why it is still called Raymond James Stadium…:D
