Injury Report Is Depressing

January 20th, 2022

“Questionable”

If you happen to be down in the dumps today, don’t read the Bucs’ injury report.

For those that crave this sad information, Joe has today’s rundown (not quick).

Did not practice: WR Cyril Grayson (hamstring), C Ryan Jensen (ankle), RB Ronald Jones (ankle), WR Breshad Perriman (hip/abdomen), OLB Jason Pierre-Paul (veteran’s day), RT Tristan Wirfs (ankle). Limited participation: RB Giovani Bernard (hip/knee), QB Tom Brady (veteran’s day), CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (hamstring), T Josh Wells (quadriceps).

Everyone was else was full participation.

    John Brown any good?

  2. Lesko_Brandon Says:

After all of this injury report, pundits still believe Rams are the underdog. GO BUCS!

  3. DoooshLaRue Says:

It is what it is. Hopefully BA/BL make the right personnel decisions for the OL and game plan.
If we can beat the Rams, I’m 99.9% certain we will win the SB.

    A true test.

    Let’s do it.
    Go Bucs!!

  4. JGhotier Says:

Why does anyone (ahem, ahem) keep saying the Rams are “depleted”? Never mind in comparison to the Bucs….

Because they are missing a Safety (who I’d take our 3 Safeties over any day in Rapp). That Whitworth may not play (but he will). Who else? Any Pro Bowlers (or should-be Pro Bowlers like us)? Woods who they replaced w/ OBJ (who many thought were one of the best Receivers in the League at one time and has 6 TD’s in 9 games)? A backup RB? I’ll wait….

Saying the Rams are “depleted” is about as silly as the same person saying “the NFC is weak” earlier in the year 🤯

Knowing how this same outfit usually won’t admit when they are wrong, I would only expect a rebuttal and not a “maybe I was slightly wrong or exaggerated that”. Lots of greats things “this” outfit/site does, but this is not one of them.

We all know who “this” is on THIS here site.

The NFC was not the weak one this year. Nor are the Rams “depleted”….that’s so silly. Everyone is injured, but by NFL injury standards, the Rams are not even close to that. They may not have Green Bay’s luck right now, but they aren’t “depleted”….or anywhere close to it.

Anyone else think saying the Rams are “depleted” is quite a strange conjecture?! Honest opinion…

    Where is playoff Lenny?

  6. BucsFan81 Says:

Playoff Lenny is playing according to his instagram. Said he will see everyone Sunday.

  7. BillyBucco Says:

Lenny seems to think he is playing.
    Hopefully his hands are fresh.

If yesterday was a walk through and today a day off for Brady that leaves one practice with whoever’s gonna be on the field.

Brown might get 2 targets unless he goes off

  8. Jerry Says:

The Bucs were actually only favored by 2 when the bookies first set the line. But then they moved it to 3 because a lot of bettors were putting money on the Bucs, even with the injuries. Why? The QBs. Bettors don’t trust Stafford in the playoffs. They rather put their money on the guy that’s won 36 playoff games and has never lost in the divisional round.

  9. Izod Says:

I think this might be a repeat of the Superbowl last year… except THEY will be the Bucs and we will be KC… and Brady is not exactly Mahommes when it comes to scrambling, so there’s that.

  10. IrishTony Says:

I honestly believe Jensen, Grayson, Perroman play. I could care less about SMB when he’s out the backfield plays better.

    I agree!

  12. Mike Johnson Says:

Our Defense needs to come out Smokin and kickin A… Rattle Stafford and get him off his spots. If our D rises like it did against KC last year? We win easily.

  13. SlyPirate Says:

    IrishTony,

I’m with you if you throw a caveat in that statement “If we beat the Rams … without sustaining any more injuries … we’ll win the SB.”

  14. Capeaceiskaput Says:

Jensen is playing. That guy will take whatever elixir he can get legal or not to get on the field. The rest of the guys is status quo for this year. We have found ways to win. The worse injury is Wirfs. I don’t see him playing. There is no real precedent over the last two years for playing a full game without him. The Rams, I am sure are game planning around him not being there. How that all shakes out will be the key to this game. More likely than not, The GOAT will find a way to compensate for it.

  15. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Jesus guys. We’ve been dealing with injuries all year! We haven’t seen the defense this healthy since the 1st game. We’re playing Matt Stafford. Are you really scared of Matt Stafford against our defense? Dude is almost like Jay Miss with the interceptions! We’re gonna win this game. The GOAT won’t be hanging onto the ball for a long time.

  16. Francisco Guzman Says:

I am really worried about the wideouts. I mean you have evans, Tyler Johnson , scotty miller and whose else. Not good.

  17. bucschamp Says:

I have this strange feeling we can beat them even with our depleted lineup. damn times have changed. I don’t think I can say this 2 years ago.

  18. captivajim Says:

hope ” bucsfan81″ is right; Playoff Lenny will be playing–GREAT news !!!!

  19. Trophybuc Says:

Well, whoever suits up on both sides of the ball, they all need to win their battles each play. This is the most important game this season. Preperation, execution, no penalties, no turnovers and score 1 more point than the rams!!! Let’s gooooo!!! TB12 Needs everyone!!! Team win!!

  20. bigdaddio Says:

I thought we always knew Friday was going to be the day they determined everything. Panic some then if it does not improve.

If the o-line is bad if they have a few plays that actually move the pocket might be time to bring them out on 3rd and short. I know Tom can’t run fast but he can still boot. It would be so unexpected even I could probably have time to throw.

  21. Jmarkbuc Says:

We won’t learn much more tomorrow from BA about injuries..

There will be a lot of “game time decisions.”

Fournette has to be taken off IR by 4pm Saturday to be eligible, or something like that. Other than that I wouldn’t expect much news.. rightfully so. Keep ‘em guessing.

  22. Swampbuc Says:

Punt on first down. Hope for turnovers.

(To you overly offended types — take it easy this is my way of dealing with 45 year Bucs fan PTSD)
