  1. MadMax Says:

    Yup!

  2. Francisco Guzman Says:

Was he officially cut? Is Arians the GM? Anyway AB is headed to another playoff contender unfortunately. At this point whateva happens in the playoffs is gravy. I don’t expect a super bowl run.

  3. WalkdaPlank Says:

AB made a fool out of himself everywhere he went since leaving the Steelers. Brady and the Bucs stick their necks out for him, carry him to a ring, and are well on their way to repeating, and this is how he shows his appreciation? For what? Because Arians didn’t want him to play the second half? He’s been given 10 different “2nd chances”.

Anybody remember Aqib Talib and how the Bucs stuck with him even though he clowned himself every offseason? This is 10 times worse.

  4. Joe Says:

    Was he officially cut?

Does it matter? Arians said he’s gone. The players all spoke about Brown in the past tense, including the guy that brought him here (Tom Brady).

  5. Buc You Says:

This will be one subject that Joe Bucs Fan will help guide the fans with… real world facts on what actually happened. Mainstream won’t tell us.

  6. Bird Says:

Yah if another playoff team picks him up. Thats a problem/ mistake. Could have suspended and not played. Saints will pick up next year

    Dude is cray cray

  7. Rod Munch Says:

How are people voting on something when they literally have no idea what happened. For all we know Arians fired AB at half-time for making a vaccination joke. In that case, no, the Bucs didn’t do the right thing. If AB just went nuts and quit, then yes, the Bucs did the right thing.

Who the hell knows if the Bucs did the right thing when they literally don’t know what happened.

  8. Darin Says:

Francisco dont let your emotions get you like ab! He’ll never play in that league again. Ask any GM if ya dare. Technically the Bucs didn’t even cut him he quit. No unemployment benefits nada. Tommy tried to help the boy but he’s gota want to help himself first.

  9. Francisco Guzman Says:

Joe well good luck. The guy’s a headcase but all people care about is winning football games. He’s going to get picked up by a contender.

  10. Bigtruck Says:

I couldn’t care less about the fake vax card. You can’t quit on your team though. That’s unforgivable.

  11. Buc You Says:

@Rod Munch… did you not see what the idiot did on national TV???

    LOL.

    #done!!!

  12. Francisco Guzman Says:

Darin football is about win and losses! Are you kidding me?! Playoffs around the corner. The guy’s gonna get picked up by a contender. Watch.

  13. Francisco Guzman Says:

You can’t tell me Arians wasn’t involved with this blowup. Something happened but we likely will not find out what.

  14. 1Gr8Buc Says:

Munch you are consistently one of the dumbest posters on this site and that says A LOT.

  15. Anonymous Says:

We want his talent but you can’t have that after the vax’d card incident. These are decisions impacting the team. This ain’t even off the field stuff impacting us right now.

  16. JimmyJack Says:

HaHa. Good poll. Of course they did. The guy threw our jersey on the ground and ran off the field halfway naked. He completely disgraced the orginizaion with that move.

  17. SB Says:

I would have kept him on the roster and not activate him for the rest of the yr so nobody else could pick him up. That being said I would not be surprised if those in the know at OneBucPlace haven’t already talked to the League and they assured them that they plan to suspend him. Not likely any team will pick him up anyway.
    Nobody wants a quitter.

  18. Alexandre Nascimento Says:

They must cut him after the Super Bowl so he cannot play again this season

  19. orlbucfan Says:

Guess we got a few dummies on here. No, the Bucs do NOT need Brown.

  20. Rod Munch Says:

Buc You – Hey simpleton, follow me for a second… what if AB at that point had already been told “you’re fired”… what if… follow me here… he didn’t just randomly in the middle of the game decide he quits…. what if something else happened before that… Do you dummies ever put more than 2 seconds of thought into anything?

I’d just like to know what happened before I participate in a public lynching.

  21. Arn Platz Says:

Could you just imagine him still on the team and pulling this stunt in a playoff game? Unreal

  22. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Munch

    You’re a clown.

As far as AB being “cut” he doesn’t have to be officially cut to never play for the Bucs or anyone else this year. Suspended with what little pay he has left works just fine.

  23. Francisco Guzman Says:

Orlbucfan you’re either clueless or don’t know anything about football. Their super bowl chances just went down a notch. Had they still had godwin no.

  24. Buc You Says:

He absolutely imploded on National TV…. what more do you want Munch???

You trying to say its the head coaches fault that he threw a temper tantrum on National TV???

    Too bad… guy is gone.

He is a moron. You do NOT do that, ever.

  25. crazybucs_CL Says:

“…How are people voting on something when they literally have no idea what happened….”
    —————
you know the expression: “First we vote, then we see what really happen”.
I twisted a little bit, but you get it….
    Votes… pffff look @ WH…

  26. Francisco Guzman Says:

SB the league is not gonna suspend him. Suspend him for wha exactly? The guy’s going to another contender. Someone’s gonna take a chance with this crazy headcase. If josh Gordon has gotten so many chances so will a guy like AB.

  27. Buc You Says:

And if it makes you feel better…. AB quit… the Bucs didn’t need to cut him.

  28. JBBucs06 Says:

We should have suspended him for the rest of the year. Locked him out of the building and not let him get picked up by any other team. He knows plays, formations, checks, audibles, etc. It could motivate this team, but losing Godwin and AB hurts this offense. Go Cardinals and 49ers, we need the #2 seed.

  29. Eric Says:

so the reports are Arians told AB to get in the game and he refused. So Bruce told him to leave.

so there goes the excuse he wasnt given an opportunity for incentived. just flat refused to go in the game.

  30. Arn Platz Says:

    @Rod Munch.

I get your point, ALL the facts are not in. But after the Covid suspension it was only a matter of time.

  31. Francisco Guzman Says:

Eric where did you read that?

  32. Buc You Says:

Its a shame… because I bet 85% of Bucs Fans didn’t even care about his covid card issue….. but… after today’s meltdown… he gone. Well, he quit first.

  33. lunchmeat Says:

FWIW, don’t cut him, he cannot sign anywhere else until you do.
    Just inactivate him every game.

  34. Christos Says:

I know many fans believe only thing that matters is winning. I get that but i dont agree. Brown is a HOF player no doubt but everywhere he was he was causing problems. At some point you cant continue to give a pass to that behavior no matter the talent. Definitely the chances for a playoff run or a Superbowl run are now less for the Bucs since Godwin is out. But after that scene, no matter what happened, you cant keep him in the team in my opinion. Even if he goes to a contender. You just cant. That scene is an embarassement for the team, the players, the coaches and the Bucs fans. It is what it is. I m more worried for the subpar performances by the team. We barely won the Jets. I get we have many injuries but the Team is not performing good and the playoffs are around the corner. Go Bucs

  35. Francisco Guzman Says:

Brady didn’t look so happy after the PC. He says he still loves antonio brown.

  36. Mort Says:

We don’t know what happened yet – so it’s impossible to say yes or no with any credibility.

  37. Dreambig Says:

Munch, the narrative your trying to push might have some merit if it was anyone else. Brown’s history is full of this type behavior. Besides that, when have you seen in the history of football, a player get fired in the middle of a game. Brown needs help before his temper hurts someone.

  38. westernbuc Says:

Of course he has to go, can’t quit in the middle of a game like that. It was a great run, can’t wait for the documentary series

  39. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @Rod

“Arians fired AB at half-time for making a vaccination joke.”

I think people probably wondered why you felt the need to bring the vax into this?
In addition for your scenario to be possible BA would have had to fire AB and then let him hang out on the field beotching about it? Really?

BTW Rod unlike another poster just because I challenge this post I do not believe you are a dumb poster. In fact on your FOOTBALL posts I think you are spot on the vast majority of the time.

It’s your social commentary that doesn’t really reflect critical thinking. But your football commentary is excellent.

  40. Dreambig Says:

Alright, lastest from Arians, is he asked him to go in and he refused and Arian’s told him to leave. What drama!

  41. Rod Munch Says:

stpetebucsfan – stupid, I’m making up worst case scenarios that I hope didn’t happen. But when dealing with idiots like yourself, who put politics over top of everything, people like you would absolutely fire someone for making a vax joke. Thankfully the only thing you can fire is another #2 into your diapers at the old folks home. LOL!

  42. Wesley Says:

Sucks cause they REALLY need him in the playoffs. But they had no choice.

  43. Chuckstutz Says:

I’ll wait for the truth to come evident. Could be a whole lotta things folks.
    Rod munch. 👍👍

  44. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

No one is going to pick up this idiot!

  45. Rod Munch Says:

Chuckstutz – again, I have no idea what happened, I’d just like to know the basics before burning someone at the stake. That’s something most people here have no problem with, they gladly break out the pitchfolks at the first chance to do so.

  46. ClodHopper Says:

As of now, I vote yes. But that could change since we dont know it all yet

  47. ClodHopper Says:

    Rod

You are talking to people who are closed minded, cant think critically, and don’t do thought exercises very well. I agree with your points.

  48. Jmarkbuc Says:

I’m sure the first. “Thought exercise “ one would go through is “ oh The HC must have made a vax joke”

    Critical thinking at its finest.

Classic projection. Put on others the stupid BS you’re trying to pull…

But I’ll just consider the source(s)

  49. Arn Platz Says:

Better this happened now instead of a playoff game in a few weeks.

  50. NativeSonX Says:

If AB is cut, per league rules, after the trade deadline, he still would need to clear waivers, no exceptions. So somebody should let Shad Khan know they can rent a “star” for Trevor Lawrence to throw to for at least a game or the Lions needs a veteran WR to pair with Jared Goff to take down the Packers in Week 18. Both would have some fan intrigue to get some butts into seats for the last week of the regular season. They got nothing to lose, even if AB doesn’t play, at least those two teams prevent their division rivals (Colts, Titans, Packers, Vikings) from picking up a player that may help their playoff positioning. Also, the Raiders still have a pulse, so I wouldn’t be surprise if Al Davis’ ghost tells Mark, “Just win baby!” At the moment, there are still a dozen of teams (a lot of mediocre AFC teams and middling NFC teams) jockeying for playoff spots that have a higher waiver priority than the Rams, Packers or Cowboys. Still you’d have to question any front office to even entertain signing a quitter so late into the season.

Some of you Mensa members think professional football is Madden (RIP), just plug and play like its fantasy football. Sorting out terminology differences, understanding blocking schemes, rapport and timing with the QB aren’t developed in one weekend. Some of you are so desperate to win, if OJ Simpson was a few decades younger, and still in playing shape and showed some moves with his bad back and creaky knees, he’d be definitely a late season pickup consideration. Because if O.J. can still ball (especially better in pass pro and receiving than that other Trojan HB, ROJO), personal history be damned. Run Juice Run!!! LOL Some of you need to find other hobbies if your life just revolve around the Bucs winning at all costs. How about working on your family life… Ohh that might be a problem for some of you… at least there’s always the Mons Venus? My life doesn’t get materially any better or worse for the Bucs winning another Super Bowl, since in the real world, employers and lending institutions care about the score… on your credit report and the legal blotter, two things that make AB’s post-NFL life… problematic.

  51. ClodHopper Says:

“But I’ll just consider the source(s)”

    As will I.

PS I know you cant see this but your closed minded post proves my point.

  52. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I heard that he was due a million dollars if he achieved some numbers, and when it became clear to him that the Bucs were not gonna help him get his million dollars, he quit.
I want to hear his side of things

  53. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

Don’t believe the mainstream media. You will soon realize we have all been lied too. There is something evil lurking these waters and it starts with greed.

  54. Buczilla Says:

  55. adam from ny Says:

over time ……………………. he became ungrateful 🙂

  56. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

    Reality:

    1. Our chances of going far in the playoffs have dropped considerably;

    2. There’s no way you can be accountable to the other 60+ guys and let him behave like that.

  57. stpetebucsfan Says:

    Rod

Classless as usual but I’m certainly not surprised. You joke about me crapping in myself in an old folks home while you spew manure in your posts.

Your parents must really be proud to have raised such a classy guy.
