Our defense loves to soften up and allow 29 yards of cushion on anything over 3rd and 5. Then we typically fall all over ourselves trying to tackle. Todd needs to switch things up. Make an adjustment before halftime.

Evans just got this feet sort of tied up, the replay looked better than at first when it looked like his hamstring maybe slowed him, but it just looked like he planted his feet at the same time and threw off his timing.

In the Bucs offense, the receivers have to make reads as well as the QB. Both the QB and the WR can change the route. In many offenses, the WR just runs the route. No reads.
Brady is a guy who has to trust his receivers. If he doesn’t, he’ll look awful. Throw in the WR reads and it gets worse.
Brady is a “comfort” guy. When he’s comfortable, he can look like the best guy in the world at age 55. But when he’s not comfortable and does not trust the receivers, Brady can look like junk even in his prime.
Nothing new and nothing to worry about. Get the wideouts/backs he likes, get the chemistry, all is good. Just think how much better things looked when Brown first returned. Brown and Godwin are the guys Brady trusted most. I take Gronk off the list because their chemistry has been off the second half of the season. Brady has never been super comfy with Evans.
So without Brown and Godwin, this is what it can look like until Brady adjusts. Not a shock, just not great timing for the team.

Every team can play keep away with the Bucs because the defense just can’t get off the field. That’s why playing a run-first team like the Eagles could be a huge issue. If they just get 4-yards a play, keep it for 9 mins on every drive, and with as bad as Leftwich is at calling plays when there’s no flow to what is happening on offense, it could be really bad.
I’m not saying that will be the case, but the Bucs need to be willing to do something different, just all out blitz, give up big plays if you, but you can’t just give up 7 AND let the other team run out the clock.

The drama queens will say yes, but I think a better word is frustrating. It’s still just a 4-point game, but the Bucs offense has only had a handful of plays, the stupid Panthers are just playing keep away, 4-5 yards per play, run out the clock. It’s a very dull and boring game so far, even with a 4th and inches goalline stop by the defense.

3 key starters out on defense and we are grinding this out with a gursy effort. Bowles went blitz heavy after that 1st drive and Im smelling a turnover. Darnold has thrown a few very dangerous passes and gotten away with it.
Brady really had a poor first half with several throws off target but he is the greatest because when the pressure is on he elevates his game. I just need to see the OL dominate a little more. A few times we looked a little shakey.
This offense might pull away in the 2nd if our defense keeps them out of endzone.

That time they sent the house, they had to rush the throw, and it was just flat out a perfect throw, wasn’t anyone going to stop it unless they were 6′ 11″.
