Tom Brady Will Lead The Way

December 26th, 2021

He will get the job done.

The Bucs have nothing but trash opponents in the next three weeks to close out the regular season. Yeah, both teams are trash.

Two games against the Stinking Panthers with the Jets sandwiched in-between.

Joe’s good friend Mike Tanier of Football Outsiders notes Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown and any other stiff you can find to play with them can win at least two of the final three regular season games.

Poor Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. What did they do to deserve such a rash of injuries?

Oh yeah, that’s right: they enjoyed an almost unprecedented run of good injury fortune in 2020, leading to a championship. Oh yeah, that’s also right: they tempted the cosmic forces of justice by signing Antonio Brown, who is back from suspension and as charming as ever.

The Buccaneers can beat the Panthers with Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and 20 guys named Jaelon Darden. But can they cover a 10.5-point spread with all of those injuries? Based on their 2-1 record against the spread in last year’s Falcons-Lions-Falcons end-of-season sando, we’re guessing they’re gonna allow one backdoor cover during their Panthers-Jets-Panthers Darnoldburger. This might have been the week if not for the Panthers’ kicker woes: they signed Lirim Hajrullahu off Washington’s practice squad to replace Zane Gonzalez. We wish Hajrullahu good luck, but we aren’t wagering money on his ability to keep the Panthers close. Buccaneers 26, Panthers 13.

If the Bucs defense can play anywhere near as good as it did last Sunday, Joe is confident the Bucs will clinch the NFC South crown today for the first time since 2007.

The only thing Carolina seems to do right is run the ball. Given how the Bucs are usually good at stopping the run, this seems to play right into the Bucs’ hands.

Todays game is of most concern for last 3. Bucs in good spot and need to get healthy. No way to catch packerz.

    Cards lost last night
And if baker mayfield was a competent QB or his coach just ran the dang ball every single play , packers lose too

Need cowgirls to lose one as well which seems possible at this point

Tsk Tsk Tsk. How many times do we see articles like this calling opponents “trash” or other names, and scratch our heads after a befuddling loss? Injuries or not.

I prefer to focus on what the Bucs CAN do IF they prep for the game properly, injuries or not, AND if they avoid self-inflicted wounds. I don’t think it wise to look at the inanimate qualities someone who has never played the game pins on the opponent and say that’s why the Bucs should win. But sure, fire away.

I think the Bucs pull their stuff out of the fire after last weeks embarrassment where the defense played good against a TERRIBLE offense (hmmm….”garbage” I guess we’d say the Sainst are).

    Go Bucs!

  3. Listnfrmafar Says:

Sam Darnold is better than Hill and Semion, Newton equal to Hill. I am waiting for the haters once Brady throws 38 for 45 4tds and Bucs lose 31-28 and the whines of should of run Rojo more carry throughout this board. Brady stinks, he misfired on 7 passes. GO BUCS!

  4. Swampbuc Says:

Darnold will come in looking like a first round draft pick and throw for 300. Bucs are lucky to win by 3.

    Please Rojo BEAST!

  5. orlbucfan Says:

Brady lost that game last week. And that temper tantrum on the sidelines……….are you kidding me?! Go Defense, this Bucs fan is pulling for you. We win today, we win the Division!

  6. Cobraboy Says:

Every time the casuals say “blowout” or “trash”, this team finds a way to choke.

I see no difference in this game against the Kitties.

Lots off scared little chickens on this site. Superstitious, afraid, pleading Chicken Littles.

Butch up, men. This will be a good day. Because Stone Cold said so.

  8. Listnfrmafar Says:

Orlbuc wants Jamais back. I can hear yours and Oneilbucyall cheers now, GO SAINTS!

  9. Infomeplease Says:

OBF, you must not have seen the film. Brady played good, Gronk, Darden, Brate, Vaughn, and Johnson not so much.

  10. Infomeplease Says:

Ps, not to mention the offensive line.

  11. PSL Bob Says:

Step right up folks and see the wonder of the universe, Cam Newton, as he slices and dices the Bucs secondary and runs like a wild man into the end zone. Watch the magician, Mr. Newton, pull not one, not two, but three rabbits out of his hat and send the Bucs back to Tampa still longing for that elusive division crown.

Not what I want to see, but what I expect when we call the opponent trash.

  12. Bird Says:

Lets be clear orlbucfan is straight trash. Stank fish idiot

Yea brady sucks and the only reason the bucs are successful is because of the defense playing 4-5 good games the last 2 seasons.

    Brady contributed nothing

    Orlbucfan = 🗑 🐟 🤡

I think its a chick too

  13. Eddie Marz Says:

Bird! Baker Mayfield should be ashamed of that performance.

Yeah well ALL YOU HATER’S JUST ATE YOUR WORDS !!! BUT IM SURE YOU WILL STILL FIND SOMETHING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVEN’T GIVEN UP A TOUCHDOWN IN 2 WEEKS AND UNDER 10 POINTS FOR THE SECOND WEEK IN A ROW. 7 SACKS AND DIDN’T ALLOW A SACK OR TURNOVER !! GO BUCS
