Skip Bayless Confident In Bucs

December 28th, 2021

Sees great things from Bucs.

If no less of an authority than Skip Bayless says it, it must be so, no?

The provocative voice of “Undisputed,” seen weekday mornings on FS1, took to Twitter yesterday to again proclaim the Bucs are the team to beat.

Bayless may not be blowing smoke this time. The Bucs defense is rounding into form despite being down Antoine Winfield and Lavonte David. Let’s cross our fingers Bucs sack king Shaq Barrett can give it a go when the Bucs host their first playoff game since January 2008, some 14 years. It’s been way too long.

And with Mike Evans and Playoff Lenny expected back for the playoffs, that’s just more firepower for Tommy Seven Rings to play with.

Tell me what team is better?

  2. Casual Observer Says:

Health down the stretch is the key. And a lot of that will be determined by chance. But the chances look pretty good. In BA and TB I trust.

  3. Sean Says:

Skip Bayless then went on to give Baker Mayfield a “B” for throwing 4 picks. He also said “his” Dallas Cowboys are going to the Super Bowl so I don’t know how that squares with his statement about the Bucs. It must be nice to have a job like Skip’s where you’re never held accountable for being wrong so often.

  4. August 1976 Buc Says:

The starting 22 has only played less than 1 half of the first game against Dallas.
“IF” they can be anywhere close to healthy, then maybe they can make a 4 game run in the post season and win it all.
But so far this year they have had their hands tied behind their back every single game with injuries.
Again, can they go 4-0 against quality teams?
    We will see.
They did it last year, when most gave them no chance.

    GO BUCS!!!!!!

  5. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Skip Bayless is a known Cowboy Fan, who is talking out of both sides of his mouth.
Our remaining schedule is very very easy, of course we will win out, but number one seed is not very probable.

  6. ModHairKen Says:

As the Bucs proved last year, the perceived better team does not always win. The Bucs were expected to lose every playoff game after Washington. So this paper champion stuff from morons like Baylee’s, who also just said it cutting AB for the vaccine thing may cost the Bucs the Super Bowl does not help or mean anything.

  7. Upstate NY BUC Says:

Been watching Skip and Shannon a lot lately, Skip loves the Bucs chances! Now Shanon on the other hand Rodgers lover….

  8. SufferingSince76 Says:

Sharpe just likes to be contrary.

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We were also missing JPP for the Carolina game…..

  10. orlbucfan Says:

So, this Bayless yahoo is a bloviating Jerry Jones/Dallas fan? Big sh!t. JPP sure wasn’t missed in that game last Sunday; he really should retire.

  11. firethecannons Says:

Just give bell alot of touches next two games.

  13. Adrnagy Says:

    Defensively we are good.
    Gholston. Vea. Suh
    Joe. Minter. White. Nelson. Jpp.
And all secondary ready to roll.

    Dial up some blitz. Pls.

  14. Mike Johnson Says:

I never watch Skip and Shannon. They should just go ahead and name it the..Dallas Cowboys show.

  15. Ed Says:

Cowboys have an improved defense. Their rookie Micah Parsons is having an All Pro season. They can get after QBs but like all these teams that are great rushing the passer, they can be ran on.

Cowboy offense is very good, although I think the Bucs offense is better. Our RBs have the freshest legs in the league so in the playoffs we should see some big runs ripped off if Arians pulls back Leftwich from throwing it 50 times a game.

Fournette’s injury is terrible and I hope he is back in the playoffs but having a 2-headed running game is better than having one back that you are constantly checking down to. Running the ball wears down defensive pass rushers. Brady is the best play action QB in the NFL although Aaron Rodgers is also exceptional at play action. The Bucs will succeed in the playoffs by keeping good pass rushing teams off Brady with run attack.

well nfl is a brutal place, and the better team doesnt always win, pats lost to giants twice, they were better that day, so is saints better againist us. we are a better than good team and we must we how far we can take, its a single elimination playoff so win or lose doesn’t decide much about how good a team is. brady is awesome and i love him and i wanna see bucs and brady win yet we are already getting great football.

I hate when they say Tom Brady and the bucs !!! Why not just say the bucs?? But on this site with this weak fan base but it’s ok with them separating Brady from the bucs !! I’m labeled a Brady hater because I don’t believe like that!!

Because Brady is the greatest ever and is a celebrity and easily most recognizable person on the roster. As Tony Kornheiser said, “Take Brady away from the Bucs and no one [nationally] gives a damn about them.”

The Bucs didn’t become a Super Bowl-winner last year because they drafted Khalil Davis. It was because they signed Brady. Anyone thinking otherwise lives in an alternative universe.

  19. Oneilbuc Says:

Admin. Don’t act like Brady didn’t have hall of famers on this team . What happened in 2019 when he had the number 1 defense? He looked old and washed up until he came to Tampa. Every one made excuses for Brady not having players around him until he came to the bucs. When we lose it’s team fault and when we win it’s all Brady. And really I can care less about how the national media feels about my bucs. I agree with about 10 percent of what they say and 90 percent of what they say is a narrative their trying to push. You must not be a bucs fan you must be a Brady or a fantasy football fan .

  20. bucschamp Says:

cant blame skip. the backups did gave us some promising results.

  21. Freadity Says:

Oneilbuc, hall of famers alright but tampa didnt have a leader. Brady showed why he is TOM BRADY, he is the winning culture, he is a leader. Yes Rodgers can stack up stats but who is Rodgers?
