Messy Times In Atlanta

December 3rd, 2021

The Falcons are weak

The Falcons have scored three touchdowns in their last three games and have averaged just eight total points in those three games.

Read that again. It’s not a typo.

And considering that Joe is not a big believer in coincidences, it’s safe to say the Atlanta offense is in sad shape.

If you want to get an idea of how the Atlanta offense lags behind the Bucs’, consider this story in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The Falcons are rotating centers in games.

Atlanta hasn’t broken 30 points all season. The Bucs average 31 1/2 points per game, best in the NFL. The Falcons allow the most points in the NFC, even more than the Lions.

Sunday’s matchup is about as lopsided as it gets. The Bucs are favored by 11 points on the road, which is a huge number, especially for a division game. Atlanta beat Jacksonville behind a punishing run game last Sunday, but nobody runs on the Bucs and the Atlanta rushing offense is ranked 30th in the NFL.

If Sunday’s game is close, it’ll be too early to say the Bucs are firing on cylinders en route to another Lombardi Trophy.

Arthur Blank should change his name to Fredo.

  2. Listnfrmafar Says:

This has the stench of the WFT game all over it. Bucs players motivation level seems to drop when they play teams they should easily beat. Take care of business early so most if the starters can sit by half time. Atlanta would be fools to try to run after how Bucs DB’s played so far this season. So glad we have something to talk about other than AB’s vax status.

  3. Winny Testaverde Says:

Poor Blank Check…Brady crushed his dreams and he too is now a sad clown of sorts. Matt Ryan seems to have a lot of success vs Tampa. No slow start for the Bucs and they should be in good shape. Otherwise it might get puckerish like so many games this year.

  4. Tampaabaybucfan Says:

    Arthur’s team is shooting blanks…

We need to come out smoking vs Falcons…….and don’t let up until we take a knee at the end of the game. I think that Colts game prepared us well…..

  5. Rob In Land O Lakes Says:

And we heard this same crap before they played WFT and they let Taylor Heinicke look like Joe Montana.

Play smart on offense, don’t let Matty Ice kill you on 3rd and long and get off the field. Don’t beat yourself and play complementary football.

  6. DoooshLaRue Says:

Brady needs to come out strong and confident on the first drive.
He’s been looking nervous the last couple of games and not sure why.
Maybe he’s not feeling as protected as some people believe.

  7. August 1976 Buc Says:

The Bucs will not be sleeping in December games, They will score more than enough to win the ATL game..
The question is will the Bucs secondary revive Matty Ice Cold. lol
Bucs D, time get some kind of pass rush, but hey it still would just be a larger margin of victiory for the Bucs if they do have a pass rush.
This is one team that so far with Brady, the Bucs end up embarrassing the ATL Defense.

    GO BUCS!!!!!

This has trap game written all over it. Im not saying we’ll lose the game but I wouldn’t lay a dime on that 11 points. There could be a ton of garbage scored late in this game.

After losing Saint and Wash games, I do not think they will be sleeping in ATL.

    GO BUCS!!!!

  10. Defense Rules Says:

DooshLaRue … Agree that TB12 seems more uncomfortable in these last several games, and rarely seems to throw deep any more. Personally think that AB being injured has impacted our attack much more than many realize. Seeing way too many checkdowns in the past several games which is telling me that receivers aren’t getting open as much as they were. Thankfully Lenny has been a beast and compensated

  11. Ash Says:

Tom is not going to throw deep just for the sake of throwing deep that’s not how he plays the game he throws to who is open during his progressions. Gronk and Lenny were open because of the coverage that the bucs were up against and the plays that were being called and at the end it resulted in win against a solid team that was very hot at the time and that my friends is all that matters.

  12. D-Rome Says:

Arthur Blank looks like an Irv.

  13. Swampbuc Says:

The game will be close. It’s the NFL.

  14. PassingThru Says:

Atlanta hasn’t won a “true” home game all season. Their only home victory was at Wembley Stadium in London.

  15. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

However, our Bucs will find a way to keep Atlanta in the game. Didn’t they score 25-28 points against us last game? If it wasn’t for 2 pick-6s, it could have been an interesting outcome.

  16. August 1976 Buc Says:

“If it wasn’t for 2 pick-6s, it could have been an interesting outcome.”
Wasn’t that Mike Edwards with the 2 pick 6’s?
    What do you know. lol

The Bucs are still going to win this no matter how their Secondary keeps ATL in the game lol

    GO BUCS!!!!

  17. Cobraboy Says:

Casuals expected a blow-out the first game. It almost was…for the visitors.

    Assume nothing.

  18. Aaron Says:

    Enter the Bucs D –

  19. Buczilla Says:

I refuse to take our team for granted anymore and atlanta usually plays us tough. I’ll be good with us winning by 10.

  20. Stanglassman Says:

This article sounds like all the ones before the WFT game. Let’s hope it turns out better this time.

  21. SKBucsFan Says:

Matty Ice will still put up 23 points against Todd Bowles weak defense. Fortunately TB12 should score 30 plus.

Nothing like a game against the Bucs to instill confidence in an opposing teams QB.

  22. Eddie Marz Says:

Trap game my as-. The Bucs are going to explode on this team. They building for the playoffs. Watch out Falcons. This could be your worst beating of the year. GO BUCS!
