“It pisses me off,” Bucco Bruce Arians said today.
The head coach was referring to the three-game NFL suspensions of receiver furniture-hurling, bicycle-throwing receiver Antonio Brown and safety Mike Edwards for using phony vaccination cards.
Arians said this afternoon that the Bucs futures of those players have not been determined.
Arians also reinforced that the Bucs have been virus champions with few cases compared to other teams and strict enforcement of rules.
Man, Arians seemed annoyed. First he said he wasn’t talking about the suspensions but he changed his mind.
Late in the news conference, Arians said he hopes [the NFL] will keep looking. Presumably he was talking about the league searching for other phony-V-card users.

Give me a fing break. The only thing AB is guilty of is being stupid because he keeps getting caught. Are we to believe all the players that grew up under the “JOCK” umbrella have never done anything that could be deemed sexual harassment? And I guess none have ever got angry and committed assault on a man, woman or abused a child. None of these players ever falsified an official document, PLEASE. AB is either very unlucky or very dumb, either way the NFL is making him a poster boy for bad behavior.

Arians has to voice his anger, but that shouldn’t involve kicking either AB or Edwards off the team. AB is the one hanging on by a tenuous thread, but if he goes the Bucs chances of winning the Super Bowl drop.

B A shouldn’t cut anybody unless the other 446 NFL players whose COVID Vaccine shot were not at team sites, have their vaccine cards reviewed. This includes practice squad players.

BA grow up, the only thing AB is guilty of is stupidity. Are we to believe none of these players throughout their careers have never done anything that can be construed as sexual harassment, falsified a legal document, committed assault etc.? AB is the NFL’s poster boy for bad behavior. No one knows the whole story of what happened in Pittsburgh or LV but the only difference of what AB did versus what Roger’s, Wilson and DeShawn are trying to do is he got off the team. AB has been nothing but a model citizen and teammate for the Bucs. As far as we should be concerned like Edward’s this should be his first offense.

AB is in the twilight of his career, but Edwards is a starting safety on nearly every NFL team. We cut him he’ll show up on the slimy Saints roster the next day

So now both Edwards and Whitehead are out this next game….that’s not good news to an already depleted secondary. A secondary where our Safeties may be the biggest/only reason that our back end hasn’t come completely unraveled this year. The Safeties have been the most consistent bright spot for our DB’s this year through all the injuries and whatnot. Without Edwards, Whitehead and AWJ this season, who knows how truly bad it could’ve gotten/been. Now we are unfortunately gonna be missing 2/3’s of that. Kinda scary if you ask me.

Keep Edwards, the suspension is fine for a first offense. For AB? I really don’t care. Never wanted him on the team in the first place. He’s fun to watch play, and you can’t deny he and TB have a great connection, but it’s just not worth the rest of what comes along with hiring a rapit, assaulter, and con artist. I don’t value football skill more than being a decent human.

2) I don’t blame BA for his anger, I’d be throwing furniture. Because these guys lied to their teammates, their coaches, and to the front office. They let their head coach go out and publicly boast of being 100% vaccinated, when they knew damn well it wasn’t so. That is what makes it personal. At least (AFAIK) everybody inside the Packer “family” knew exactly what was up with Aaron Rodgers, it was just outsiders being conned.

Hey, to let’s villify a world class athlete for not wanting to poison his body with an unproven vaccine when he treats his body like a temple and he’s in his early 30’s.
I reluctantly got vaccinated and have been dealing with an AWFUL side effect for more than 3 months now. I very much regret getting the vaccine. And I’m almost 50.
Chef Steven Ruiz AB doesn’t want the vaccine but has an organization breathing down his neck about being a team player and makes a bad judgment error in the face of extreme pressure. And we declare him a selfish jerk?
He is doing his best to navigate a tough situation. How about that? He was the one taking the risks by not getting vaccinated. He could be a carrier either way so he’s the one taking the risks.
Yet,we choose to hate the player and not the game. Probably because we were too weak ourselves.

Let them both play out this season including playoffs & SB !!!!!.. Definitely keep Edwards next yr.. I would make decision on AB who may or may not be durable enough to contribute. If he can, keep him..

Very good chance AB will not return next year. Honestly he’s very lucky to still be on the team but it’s WIN NOW 2.0 and he’s needed. But the Bucs run the most professional franchise in the NFL and won’t have that, especially with AB record. Whitehead is going to be a UFA. We’ll have to see about the young Edwards.

If Edwards is cut, he will be picked up in less than a minute, probably by someone we don’t want to have him.
I still haven’t heard exactly what he did, I don’t think he went out and solicited for a fake card, so he could claim entrapment.
If that cook approached him, he should appeal. He should be able to get it down to 1-2 games.
I can’t give AB the benefit of that doubt, he has pulled too much stuff, let him go; I doubt anyone else will take him.

A professional athletes body is his/her living. No government or employer has any right to dictate what a player does or does not put in their body except in the cases of illegal substances or performance enhancers. Show me in the contract where it says players are obligated to vaccinate? If the player had adverse reaction to the vaccine, is the NFL going to compensate?

They should not be forced to be vaccinated if they don’t want to. None of us should have to have these stupid cards. AB and Edwards were taking a stand. A one game suspension would have been adequate for Edwards and maybe 2 games for Brown. They should appeal. And every other teams cards should be verified as well. FJB
