Your New All-Time Bucs Touchdown Leader

November 22nd, 2021

The best of the Bucs.

Mike Evans is officially an all-time Bucs stud.

Tonight when Evans boxed out Giants cornerback James Bradberry for a touchdown to give the Bucs a 24-10 lead, it made franchise history.

The touchdown catch by Evans was the 72nd of his career. He was previously tied with Mike Alstott with 71 touchdowns for the team record. Now? Evans is the all-time franchise touchdown leader.

Evans has 679 yards receiving this season and only needs 321 yards  to extend his NFL record to eight straight seasons of 1,000 yards receiving to start a career.

If Evans does that, Joe thinks the folks who whine that he’s overrated are going to have to load up on anti-depressants when he’s inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

  2. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Congrats Mike….great WR, Great Buc, Great Guy…..

  3. bucschamp Says:

great. but you dropped an easy pass that let to a td

  4. Francisco Guzman Says:

Congrats. Time for this team to build a winning streak.

  5. BuccaneerButters Says:

I was pumped seeing that live. Wish it was in person. Happy to rep his jersey. Fav player in the league and definitely Bucs. Hard earned and deserved. Happy for him. Add to it! Let’s go! Great win!

  6. Listnfrmafar Says:

Not sure how big this is or what it means but that dropped pass could of changed the whole dynamics of this game. He still can’t run good routes, Perriman same thing, Brady needs precision Evan’s is a great receiver but his routes take forever. When you see bad sideline passes from Brady that tells you receiver ran a bad route. You could see it at the end of the game in Brady’s face. Either he was pissed BA took him out or he was pissed that Bucs are still not good enough. Either way he played his arse off and he was NOT happy.

  7. Rayjay1122 Says:

Seemed to,me like TB12 was happy tonight. I did nor notice him not happy.

  8. Tim in PSL Says:

Love Mike, and he- just like Alstott- should be used better. Hey if he “just catches Touchdowns”, that’s totally cool. But somehow he and Tom need to get on the same page between the 20’s. I can see the frustration in Mike’s face EVERY GAME.

  9. Buczilla Says:

Mike also leads the league in receiving touchdowns since he entered the league in 2014. Lol, facts trump misinformed opinions every single time. It’s also astonishing that Mike has accomplished this monumental feat with mostly erratic to just plain bad quarterback play. Only a major injury is keeping this dude from the hall of fame and only Antonio Brown has been better overall since Mike was drafted in 2014.

  10. Leighroy Says:

Evans averages 15.5ypc for his career but his routes take too long. He can’t run good routes but he’s a great receiver. I’m not sure how big a could have happened that did happen is but I’m sure it means nothing!

  11. Coburn Says:

Loved seeing him get the better of Bradbury s lot of the night after that flib at the start. Some games it’s gone thr other way

  12. David Says:

At a time when we should be congratulating one of the greatest Buccaneers ever, and definitely the greatest receiver in Buccaneer history, some of you
a holes are talking about a dropped pass.
    Seriously?????

Great job ME13! Keep on rolling right to the Hall of Fame

  13. unbelievable Says:

    Congrats Mike.

    Well deserved.

  14. Buc king Says:

I honestly feel like brady and Evans seem disconnected and out touch with each other a lot… I see the anger on both their faces but I know once they dial it in ..we will become undefeatable..
They need takeva week just them 2 talking the playbook getting deeper into seeing things the same and what to do in circumstances.
If they can get on the same page everyone else becomes wide open…
Also Mike acts hurt after every catch I find this nerve wracking and concerning for his future.

  15. ModHairKen Says:

I bet he’s more mad about the pick he caused than the record he set. Because this Man is a winner. Now get him 400 more yards, TB.

    Iron Mike.

  16. ModHairKen Says:

Who said he doesn’t run good routes? Yeah. Right. I guess he was just in business for himself on all those TDs that set the record. That TD pass last night with the DB practically clinging to his back was a pretty damn good route, and an even better catch.

Watch some film, guy. Watch some film.

  17. Listnfrmafar Says:

All you ME pickle smooches the addition of Gronk is what opened it up this game. Bug team an elite WR beats out a RB for most Td’s. I don’t know how many of you watched the game Manning cast but both Peyton & Eli commented on the bad route running. ME13 is good at what he does a 10 yd curl or side line streak that’s pretty much it, once and a while a slant and due to his size end zone target, but overall horrible route runner.

  18. webster Says:

Ignore the IDIOT Evan haters. They are just that IDIOTS!!!!! There is a stat I saw last week that there are 5 wr in the HISTORY of the nfl to have 70 tds 8,500+ yrds in their first 115 games played. Those recivers are Rice, Moss, Megatron, Marvin Harrison and you guessed it, no route running, slow, cant catch Mike Evans. The 1st 4 are all 1st ballot hall of famers. But idiots want to nitpick mike as if he is not great. The problem now is Brady cant hit him in stride (you know how it was winston fault he and djax couldnt get on the same page). In the words of hall of famer jimmy johnson “dont tell me what a player cant do, tell me what he can do”. Oh and this nonsense brady only deal with percision, Moss was never a great route runner and would not run routes when the play was not meant for him but that didnt stop him from taking advantage of moss size and speed. Again IGNORE THE IDIOTS!!!!

  19. JimBuc2 Says:

ListF and BucKing, what pond do you two ducklings swim in? Mike Evans, like Mr. Seven rings, makes NFL history every time he steps on the field. Not a good route runner? Can’t get on same page with his QB?? I’ve watched plenty stutter steps, curls, slants, double moves, toe drag swag, not to mention some beastly run blocking. Just what more do you expect? Oh, did I mention his restructures to help his team? Plays hurt, no diva drama. Crikey, what more could you ask for? Mike Evans is the gold standard other wide receivers are measured against. You two are very mistaken about ME13. I predict that Evans secures his legacy by becoming the only receiver ever to record ten consecutive 1000yd seasons to launch his career.

  20. Doctor Stroud Says:

I feel that last night was an audition for Perriman, and it just didn’t work out. I’m sure that the Bucs organization want to have a solid Plan B just in case things go south with AB, although it’s hard to make up for losing that kind of talent.

  21. Coburn Says:

Doc I actually feel the opposite. Him and Brady didn’t hook up on a couple, but as a guy who has never played with Brady before he didn’t look bad. Saw enough potential to see him as a potential contributor later in the year. This is coming from someone who thought he had one good game when he was here

  22. kyle Says:

Love 13!He will go down as one of the top bucs ever. He’s on rushmore with brooks and selmon. mike plays so physical, he is always knicked up and hurting in the game..lol he just fkng mans up and keeps playing.

  23. SB Says:

    @Listnfrmafar

Stop smoking crack. Crack is bad.

  24. Listnfrmafar Says:

Never said I wasn’t a ME13 fan, all I said is he is not a great route runner which does cause synergy issues with Brady. If you cannot see the difference when Godwin, Gronk and especially AB hook up then you don’t know the game. Mike is a great receiver and future HOF’er but I wouldn’t compare him to Moss, look at what Moss did with Brady as his QB. Moss is probably top 5 wr of all time, don’t think Mike will get there.

  25. SlyPirate Says:

Evans may have the most touchdowns but the A-Train’s were way more impressive.

  26. stpetebucsfan Says:

What is going on in Tampa Bay. Such an amazing group of CLASSY modest athletes!

I think it starts with ME and CG just picked up the ball and ran with it. No whiners here. Everybody is totally cool to be part of an historic team and share the honor.

Mike says..”honored to even be mentioned in the same sentence with him”. That’s R E S P E C T! And it’s an honor that ME has clearly earned out on the field.

  27. webster Says:

List as i said moss did not run great routes. He used his size, speed, and leaping ability yet brady found a way to make it work. What is evans known for? His size, speed and leaping ability. Why cant brady make it work now? Also, why is it that every time evans accomplishments are mentioned during games and articles, moss accomplishments are always mentioned as well? Because evans is doing moss type of things and his accomplishments are 1st ballot worthy. So the question is why are you trying to down play them? The man is GREAT!!! As a buc fan, you should be used to seeing great drafted buc players ie selmon, sapp, brooks, lynch etc. Evans is that as well period

  28. Listnfrmafar Says:

Webster, he’s not that fast. His name is mentioned with Moss because he will beat Mosses record. It’s kind of like saying was Emmett Smith better than Barry Sanders or Walter Payton?
