Von Miller Seems To Concern Bruce Arians More Than Odell Beckham

November 12th, 2021

Has Bruce Arians’ attention.

You can tell Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians is an offensive guy.

And you can tell he’s no fan of cancerous new Rams receiver Odell Beckham.

In recent days, the Rams made a major addition to their defense and added a major name to their offense. Already with a win over the Bucs this season, you can tell who the Rams will gun for in the playoffs (hint: that team wears pewter pants.)

Today in his final remarks before the Bucs play the WTF in Washington on Sunday, Arians was asked about the Rams’ moves and in particular, if he’s now worried about facing Beckham.

No, Arians really isn’t and he explained.

“That doesn’t affect us,” Arians said. “And when it does, we’ll be ready. Von Miller, I would worry more about him, if he’s healthy.”

Yup. Leave it to an offensive coach and a quarterback whisperer to be more concerned about a pass rush than an opponent’s wide receiver. You add Miller to a defensive line with future Hall of Famer Aaron Donald and Leonard Floyd, that’s a very formidable defensive front.

Besides, what has Beckham done in the past two years besides worm his way off a winning team’s roster? Earlier this week, Arians was asked about signing Beckham and he laughed and said he has to deal with enough letters with “AB” (Antonio Brown).

Guessing Arians won’t be voting for Beckham to the Pro Bowl.

I’m thinking Beckham is going to be similar to Levion Bell…. He was very efficient in one particular situation, and never since

  2. John Says:

Miller should. OB made a couple great catches, big deal. He hasn’t done sh*t for 4-5 years. When AB on the field, he’s always dominated; Same w guy like Moss, even T.O. When those guys played, they dominated. Odell isn’t even close to their level, he really doesn’t add all that much to Rams. Way overrated as to the impact he’ll have.

  3. PassingThru Says:

Arians is right, I’d be more worried about Von Miller. Despite problems with his ankle, Miller is still a quality player. The Rams are the one team that matches up extremely well against the Bucs, the addition of Miller makes them that much more formidable.

The Rams didn’t really need Beckham. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a low risk signing as he’ll have to be on his best behavior.

We lose to the rams if the playoffs were today.

  5. JimmyJack Says:

May have been a stupid question for the reporter to ask about OBJ instead of Vin Miller. But for the new age, yuppy, fantasy era fan they snend more time watching the scoreboard then they do the game.

Yuppie football fans dont care about big hits. Big hits are worth zero points.

  6. Joe in Michigan Says:

I wanted the Bucs to get Von Miller, though I knew it was unlikely.

  7. Adrnagy Says:

Giovani will take care of von

PB&J made a lot of circus catches on Monday night football

  9. The Beer Whisperer Says:

    “On to Washington”
Rams are no longer on the schedule.

Von Miller and OBJ, can both go pound sand. With all due respect.

  10. The Beer Whisperer Says:

    I’m just thinking.

Von Miller, or OBJ, couldn’t have been too important, for both their former teams to smoke their opponents in an upset.

    Just my dumb opinion.

  11. The Beer Whisperer Says:

Some other arm-chair QB, certainly has all the answers.

  12. WalkdaPlank Says:

Both are washed up has-beens. Especially Beckham. Total clown. Evans is the best WR from that draft class.

  13. Listnfrmafar Says:

Any chance Arians can focus on Washington? Who is to say the Bucs even see the Rams again this season. He really needs to shut up. If that was Belichick, his comment would be, we are focused on Washington!

  14. The Beer Whisperer Says:

I should not criticize Von Miller, or OBJ. (apologies)
Both are high level NFL football players. Something very few achieve.

But, I’m no “has been” I’m a, ‘never was’
I keep my bar set very low, so I rarely disappoint myself.

  15. Joe Says:

Any chance Arians can focus on Washington?

Arians was asked a question and answered it. It’s called being a professional.

  16. Rod Munch Says:

I’d worry more about Von Miller too, but that doesn’t mean OBJ is a joke. Hopefully you dullards that literally said everything you’re saying about OBJ, last year about AB, hopefully for once you’ll be right. But I wouldn’t bet on it.

  17. Listnfrmafar Says:

Joe, isn’t professional answering relevant questions about HIS team? Rather than who he is more intimidated against on the Rams? I guess next time ask him, hey Bruce how’s the old lady in the sack these days? If he doesn’t answer I guess he’s not a professional. He lacks FOCUS!

  18. Listnfrmafar Says:

TB12 answer: They are both great players. In this league teams try to put the best players they can to help them win. I’m pretty happy with our guys.

Geez. Some guys got their panties in a wad and it isn’t even 7am yet! Get some coffee.
