Two More Injuries At Cornerback

November 14th, 2021

Temp job.

The Bucs got three things they didn’t need this afternoon.

The first was a loss to a garbage football that was struggling mightily before today.

The second and third are injuries to cornerbacks. Bucco Bruce Arians confirmed that starter Dee Delaney suffered a concussion and Richard Sherman pulled a calf muscle before the game.

Regular readers here know that Joe has been down on Sherman since he stepped on the field. He’s done nothing to show that he show that he can help the team, and then he got hurt. And then he got hurt again.

On the upside, Arians said Sean Murphy-Bunting “used his arm” a little at practice last week. So that’s a start for a guy coming off a serious elbow dislocation.

Barring another problem, the Bucs will face the Giants next Monday night with Jamel Dean, Ross Cockrell and the fragrant one, Pierre Desir, at cornerback. And Joe expects another corner to be plucked off the street this week.

Starting to look a lot like the 49ers after their Super Bowl loss with all these injuries. Really too bad because it is really starting to catch up to the Bucs.

just win the south and go from there!

  19. Eddie Marz Says:

First interception obviously should have been caught. So should the second, ball was placed correctly but Evans never made the play. Maybe that’s why Evans doesn’t get a lot of targets. Have to be on the same page as the QB. Seems like Brady has more chemistry with Brown than Evans. GO BUCS!
