Bucs Make More Headway In Battle For Top NFC Seed

November 26th, 2021

Raiders win helps Bucs.

Over the holiday, Joe came across a fantastic Howard Cosell line that perfectly fits the Bucs gaining more ground in their quest for homefield advantage in the playoffs.

The Cowboys are in a tailspin. They have lost three out of their last four and have looked lousy in the past two games at home to the sputtering Raiders and on the road to the Chiefs.

Yesterday in a game marred by flags — when will zebras realize NO ONE watches games for them outside of their families? — the Cowboys lost in overtime to Las Vegas.

Joe thinks Cosell’s line (24:00 mark) fits the current mindset of Cowboys fans all over Texas.

“Confusion… despair… defeat!”

The Cowboys are in a fight just to win their awful division as Philadelphia has recently wakened from the dead.

The Bucs have basically a 1 1/2 game lead on Dallas. The Bucs are 7-3. Dallas is 7-4 and the Bucs own a tiebreaker after beating Dallas in the season-opener.

Anytime Dallas loses on Thanksgiving, it is worth an extra slice of pumpkin pie.

The Bucs are currently third in the NFC race for the No. 1 seed. Arizona has a 9-2 record. Green Bay is 8-3.

And of course, Thanksgiving came to an end when the Bills throttled the slimy Saints. That was worth a glass of Crown Royal Reserved for Joe. The Bucs now have a 2 1/2 lead on the slimy Saints in the NFC South race. The slimy Saints are currently tied with the Stinking Panthers for second place.

Oh did the Cardinals or Packers lose? Then nothing to see here.

    the division is ours….

if we go 4-3 down the stretch then we have 6 losses…

all divisional opponents have 6 losses right now…

so long as we go 4-3, the other teams can not lose another single game all season…then they hope to win tiebreakers for the division…

then again we are not going 4-3 down the stretch…at least 5-2 or better

    dak prescott’s hairline did a lebron…

it literally receded during the game…

do these guys use “spray on hair” before the game, and it rubs off from game contact, sweat and helmet removal ???

Playoff seeding is going to be very interesting this year…

The #4 seed will most likely play the Rams, while the #2 seed could be going against New Orleans, Philly, maybe even Dallas?

    A wonderful day of football.

So far we are undefeated at home. As long as the bucs keep winning games till playoff time it will put us at home for the playoffs and we should keep the winning streak all the way to the Super Bowl. Getting a back to back super bowl win would probably keep Brady with us for another season and I’m sure any of the players from other teams who will become free agents would more than likely want to join the defending champs. Not sure if all the 22 players who stayed will want to resign for another season.

I’ll be more optimistic after colts and bills game. The bucs potentially could be 8-5 like last year.

  11. ClodHopper Says:

This has been a weird season like that for us. We’re at three weeks in a row where at least a couple teams we need to lose lost. That never happens for us.

  12. sauron's eye Says:

The Saints look like straight up trash, except when they play us. Go Bucs.

  13. unbelievable Says:

@clod- the only problem is that we also lost 2 out of those 3 weeks.

Sunday against Indy is huge, especially with LA and GB playing each other.

It was so great to see the Aints get smashed yesterday.

Arizona’s schedule remaining looks fairly soft. pulling for Rams to give Packers a 4th loss.
