Antonio Brown Only Bucs Player Ruled Out For Colts

November 26th, 2021

Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians.

Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians gave sort of an update on dinged-up players in his final remarks before the Bucs play the Colts on Sunday.

Antonio Brown is the only player ruled out. Linebacker Devin White (quad), receiver Mike Evans (back), nose tackle Vita Vea (knee) and left guard Ali Marpet (abdomen) seem like they will be gametime decisions, Arians noted.

With White, Arians said he is “very encouraged” with how he practiced this week but cautioned, “He is one of those guys where we will wait and see.” With Mike Evans, Arians seemed the most positive when he said of Evans, “He looked fine.”

On Ali Marpet, Arians added he will be a gametime decision. Same with Vea.

Arians also addressed Scotty Miller, who was activated from the injured reserve list this week. Whether Miller will be on the active roster for Sunday, Arians would not say.

“We will see how that goes,” Arians said of Miller. “He looks like himself.”

    Davis?

  2. Medicated Pete Says:

Pete says sit Alexander Marpet & put some BenGay on Mike Evans back

  3. Joe Says:

    Davis?

Carlton Davis is not active. Arians sounded like he’s a game or two away.

  4. Elita Vita Says:

Scotty Miller “looks himself”. Is that supposed to be good thing or a bad thing? Not quite like saying Scotty Miller looks good. Just wondering.

  5. ATLBuc Says:

    Joe!!
    What about Carlton Davis?

  6. ATLBuc Says:

    Never mind

  7. PassingThru Says:

Marpet being a game day decision is very encouraging. It means no tear, only a fairly light strain on his oblique muscle group.

The guys were all dying to see back are Carlton Davis and Antonio Brown. It sounds like they’re both returning early to mid-December which is perfect timing for Tampa Bay to gel.

  8. Marine Buc Says:

We still need Davis back ASAP… I hope Vea is healthy enough to slow down the best running game in the NFL.

This game in Indy will be a true test for this team.

  9. Listnfrmafar Says:

Not sure why everyone is so afraid of Indy, the games the won were to, Texans, Jets, Miami, 49ers, Jags and only supposing good win was to Buffalo. I guess after losing to NO and WFT we should be concerned Bucs player coaches don’t get out coached again.

  10. Francisco Guzman Says:

List i expect a big road win on sunday. I expect this team to take off now. They’re getting healthier.

  11. Medicated Pete Says:

    @ Listnfrmafar

That’s the problem….most of us are on PTSD meds after the New Orleans & Washington debacles

  12. Joe Says:

Is that supposed to be good thing or a bad thing? Not quite like saying Scotty Miller looks good. Just wondering.

Just a hunch if an NFL player is said to look like an NFL player, that’s not a criticism

  13. Bojim Says:

    Davis is close. 😁

“…Not sure why everyone is so afraid of Indy, the games the won were to, Texans, Jets, Miami, 49ers, Jags …”

on our side we beat: Chicago,Atlanta,NE(when the QB kid just started),Giants,Eagles,Miami…. hmmmmm not very impressive either…
…and until we see just a better D (just a little bit), any team on the road can beat us.
So yes, it is a big concern @ Indy…

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

We need White & Vea to not only be activated but be effective……Our offense is fine now that Gronk is back.

  16. Buc4evr Says:

Any update on Richard Sherman’s status ? Thought it was just a calf sprain?

  17. Allbuccedup Says:

We got a three game lead no need to rush anyone back.

  18. Allbuccedup Says:

Looks like 10-7 will win the division or maybe 9-8.

  19. Joe in Michigan Says:

Crazybucs left Dallas off his list. An honest mistake, or does he write stories for mainstream media? 🤔

  20. adam from ny Says:

time for us to burst the colts bubble and kill off the idea that all of a sudden they are one of the better teams in the league…

they are probably closer to average, than closer to elite…

they’re hot, so let’s make sure they’re not

  21. crazybucs_CL Says:

“..Crazybucs left Dallas off his list. An honest mistake, or does he write stories for mainstream media? 🤔…”
    ————-
no, was not a mistake, on my book that was “toss up” score.
we were 100%, coming from SB win, in a sell-out stadium, with opponent QB listed ‘questionable’ all week prior the game…. so yeah, very bad D and almost L on that game.

  22. DoooshLaRue Says:

In fairness we almost lost to Dallas.
We got lucky to pull out that win.
    Same with the Patriots game.

I’ll gladly take the wins, luck or not, but this team does not yet instill a lot of confidence.
That’s why some of us can’t get comfy with those rose colored glasses some of you wear.

    Fan since 1976 BTW.

  23. Jmarkbuc Says:

Would love a strange twist of irony and our RB’s go for 200 yds +50 from Gio in receptions.

Time to get Rojo going.. dude runs hard.

  24. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Agreed Doosh.

This ain’t my first Buccaneer rodeo either. Would love a game that is not flukey, just well coached, more physical than the other team and impressive.

  25. Joe in Michigan Says:

ALMOST lost…Some of you are living in an alternate universe if you think ALMOST counts for anything. That was ALMOST a good post, Dooosh!

  26. SOEbuc Says:

Damn I was thinking Davis was activated and ya got me all excited

  27. JimmyJack Says:

Doosh we are the defending Champions of the World. Currently dominating our division and entering a December battle for the #1 seed.

We are one of the few elite contenders in the NFL. I see little reason not to have confidence.

  28. Bob in valrico Says:

I like how Davis plays. Also think it would be smart to to get Edwards on the field more. He played pretty well against Giants.

  29. Joe in Michigan Says:

JimmyJack: It’s called being a worrywart crybaby “fan”. Of course he’s gonna worry, that’s what non-winners do.

  30. crazybucs_CL Says:

@”…Currently dominating our division and entering a December battle for the #1 seed….”
    ————————-
    what are we dominating:

    Saint 5 – 6
    Atlanta 5 – 6
    Carolina 4 – 6

    a losing division.
…and wait Saint did beat us; Atl we beat them; Car no taste yet.
I really should be not very proud for this “domination”….
Lets beat Indy this week, is a good test game.
    PS
So fare we have lost ALL “The test Games”… Rams…Saints…and some other game, we thought was in our little pocket. 🙄

  31. JimmyJack Says:

crazybucs….Yeah our division stinks this year. And the Bucs are doing exactly what a contender should be doing. Dominating it with a 3 game lead. Why make any excuse for winning our divison? Im celebrating it……been a while.

And I arent know what you mean by test games? What exactly are you testing? I think you are late to waking up to see that the Bucaneers are one of the few elite teams……They passed that test last year dude with flying colors…….and last i checked we are still one of the Top 2 teams in the league(Im direguarding GB because we own them).

Before you erase all our success because of one loss to the Saints why dont you wait a second and let us play a rematch…….You can do the same thing for the Rams…..Last I checked we were down by a FG late in the 4th and Todd Bowles called a brilliant coverage to give us the lead on a Winfield pick6…..But we couldnt make the play. We are definitely capable of beating that team. Especially if we go on a run to secure homefield.

    GO BUCS!!!

  32. Dean Giusti Says:

Sprained ankle that takes 2 months to heal?
WTF Antonio? Get the F back out on the field man.

  33. Colonel Angus Says:

Beat Indy and they will be 6-6. So I guess that won’t be a quality win after all? Some of you chicken little fans make me laugh. I think some fans are truly happier when we suck.

  34. Izod Says:

So either have you have your head in the clouds or you’re a chicken little screaming the sky is falling? Got it.

Fact is, we have not looked like one of the top four teams in the NFL this year. I think we can get there, talent is not an issue, but this team needs to elevate its energy, consistency, and preparation.

  35. Fishhawkbuc Says:

My sources tell me that ABs “injury” has a lot more to do with the vaccine snafu than it doe an injury. Doghouse live by BA.

  36. D-Rome Says:

Looks like that AB fake COVID vaccine card story ended in the correct way…..Dead on Arrival

  37. Purplepirate Says:

“we are still one of the Top 2 teams in the league”

Top 2 teams don’t lose to Washington and New Orleans teams playing back up QBs.
