“That Ain’t A Fair Fight”

October 11th, 2021

Bruce Arians knows he has a No. 1 offense.

Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians summed up his sick offense perfectly.

When the Bucs offense is humming with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown, Rob Gronkowski, Playoff Lenny and the rest, it is just sick.

Even with Gronk out for who knows how long, Joe thought Arians perfectly put into words what this offense is when it is clicking with so, so many top-shelf weapons for a boy named Tommy to play with.

“Yeah, I mean when you got Chris [Godwin] and Mike [Evans] and [Brady] gets the third guy [Brown], that ain’t a fair fight,” Arians said.

“Yeah, we like that matchup [of Brown as a No. 3 receiver against a No. 3 corner] usually week in week out. You know, I’m sure it’s going to switch pretty soon. One of those other guys is going to feast.”

It sure as heck isn’t a fair fight. And it just makes Joe giggle uncontrollably to think of what it can be like with Gronk in the lineup.

This is just fun as can be, isn’t it Bucs fans?

    It’s a great combo
    Getting AB was huge

  2. Casual Observer Says:

AB is huge. I’ve never seen a WR who can twitch as quickly as he does to get open. Such intensity too. Great addition to our arsenal.

It’s a great time to be a Bucs fan! When the Bucs won their first Super Bowl we already knew 5 games into the 2003 season the Bucs team was noticeably not nearly as dominant as the season prior. This year despite the injuries the Bucs have been solid.

This shows you where the NFL combine can be misleading.

    AB 40 yard dash: 4.47
    Mike Evans 40: 4.53
    Godwin 40. 4.41

Anyone here think, even now, that ab won’t win a foot race against those guys?

And if Lenny keeps playing like this and Gio

    MAGA Make Antonio Great Again

Pick your poison……I still would like to see us move the chains on 3rd & short…….we briefly let them back in the game yesterday….need to keep the ball and keep our defense on the sidelines.

Arians’ Cardinal teams weren’t exactly chopped liver. The man knows exactly what he’s talking about.

Like so many I’m in euphoria right now. BUT I really want a 50 burger at some point. As someone posted, pure class to take the knee.
    Go Bucs

    @Joe

I tried telling you Joe, when you posted those stats of Brady not performing well without Gronk…. There’s a danger in reading too much into some summary stats. When the Patriots lost Gronk, it was far more horrific. The only receiving talent outside of Gronk was Edelman, who was always among the league leaders in dropped passes. The rest of the New England receiving team weren’t even household names in their own households.

Tampa Bay will miss Gronk, but there’s an embarrassment of riches on this roster at WR. The team’s de facto WR3 would be a WR1 on many teams in this league.

Back in the Dungy and Gruden years we never had an offense even half this good. It’s still kinda weird to watch, but I ain’t complaining.

I have been a Buc’s fan since 1983 and I am loving every game last season and this season. TB12 makes the talent around him even better abs he can be himself without Mr. Bellicheat controls, it’s Awesome & Amazing!

  12. Cobraboy Says:

Even a middlin’ defense would make it more fun.

FUNNY how many people jump back on the bandwagon after a BLOWOUT WIN and lots of points scored !!! The last two weeks everyone was acting like the season was hanging in the balance ⚖️😂😂.. Great performance though !! Bucs STILL need to look into the losing teams for another C.B. Give up our first or second round pick or RoJo and a pick if it means winning the Super Bowl again !
    GO BUCS

  14. Listnfrmafar Says:

Agreed Tampabay, the problem now is when Bucs play the elite teams in the league if they don’t score 30+ they may not win and that’s a problem, can you say Rams?

  15. Erik Says:

As long as ab gets the ball he is going to shine. It’s awesome how Brady gets these guys fired up. I always said all this team needed was a qb that could get the ball to receivers. I just wish Jameis Winston was doing a worse job for saints as he did us.

  16. Ne+ bucs fan Says:

It’s funny all the people that didn’t want ab love him now,,I’m not even gonna go over the response when they first signed him, but everyone who posts here know what I’m talking about
