Real Recognizes Real

October 5th, 2021

Cool rookie moment.

Joe thinks it is a way cool photo. The oldest guy in the NFL who is still at the top of his game and one of the youngest guys just beginning to scratch the surface of his talent.

Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, the Bucs’ up-and-coming rookie pass rusher, twittered a video of him slapping skin with his 44-year-old teammate Tom Brady.

If JTS didn’t add his thoughts, Joe wouldn’t know if Brady was congratulating JTS on his first two NFL sacks or if JTS was paying respect to the NFL’s new all-time passing leader.

Or, could it have been just two alpha dogs in the afterglow of a Bucs win?

We will get to see Brady for likely a couple more years. JTS? Joe hopes to see a lot of him wearing pewter and red for a long, long time.

Kid is going to be special if he continues to improve his understanding of the game. His athleticism is first overall pick level!
Luck is one of the sweetest things in life !

  2. Medicated Pete Says:

Joe Tryon is fun to watch says Pete. Pete also wonders if he’s getting tired after 1 year off & starting as a rookie. JPP needs to get his butt back on the field & stop having manic episodes

  3. R.O. Says:

Going out on a limb there. Agreed he can be special if he keeps improving. : )

  4. Wild Bill Says:

For the first time I was truly impressed with his burst of speed at the snap of the ball. Maybe I just missed it in previous games but dam he is quick!

  5. Youngbucs Says:

I’m just happy that talent on our team gets recognized now. We are no longer the after thought thx🐐.

  6. BRYAN KOHN Says:

LOL Pete! The game is just starting to come to the kid. When he fully grasps it LOOKOUT!

  7. Ryan K Says:

Brady thanking him for smashing Mac Jones. Awesome. All aboard the JTS HYPE TRAIN!!

  8. Buc50 Says:

That stunt he did with the human bulldozer was a thing of beauty.

  9. JimmyJack Says:

Its really amazing how great our drafts have been since Bruce got here. It might be more amazing that some here still complain about our choices. Betting by this time next year we see something good from Darden……….maybe very soon too, next few weeks might be a good chance to get him going as a returner.

  10. SlyPirate Says:

2 sacks with 13 games to go.

    10 is a real possibility.

Especially if Vea keeps destroying the entire left-side of the offensive line.

  11. ocala Says:

It is incredible he made it to the last pick of the first round being at such a premier position.

joe – i was there sunday grinding it out like the bucs in the rain. it was a great win for the bucs. i didnt think it would be a blowout and the weather and that crowd were a factor. the crowd was restless and anxious and overall the bucs had no turnovers (aside from missed FG) and didnt beat themselves badly. pre brady we lose that game no matter what but they hung in there and just battled. very proud.

  13. Tampabaybucfan Says:

That is an impressive Bromossa on that guy!!!

  14. Cannon Says:

That sack he had when stunting with Vea was straight nasty…

  15. Duane Says:

This guy is starting to show up. Another Licht special. His speed does stand out when plays. Lets hope he continues to progress.

  16. Ed Says:

JTS has elite speed, get-off and first move. Once he fills in his body with more muscle and can get more leverage, he will be a beast. Right now he looks like a Boy-Beast. The Man-Beast should arrive by year 3 as his body retains some extra pounds. His weight is listed at 259 lbs. He won’t lose any speed at 275, which by the way is what Jason Pierre-Paul is listed at. Myles Garrett is listed at 271. Joey Bosa is 276.

A little more weight and power to his build will allow him to develop more moves to chop or swim around blockers.

That was really cool Vita and him working together. Look forward to watching that for many years to come. 👍

  18. Stanglassman Says:

Can you imagine the hype Chase Young would have got if he had 2 sacks in his first couple of games played. This guy deserves more pub.

  19. mg Says:

    Great Photo.

  20. Hodad Says:

If I had a body like Tryon’s I’d be making millions doing underwear ads!

  21. Leighroy Says:

“oH bUt JtS iS sUcH a BuSt!!!” – weak loser commenters in the first 3 weeks

    Where are you now?

  22. Man Child Says:

As advertised. Kid is pretty sick filing in for JPP so far. Late season if he stays healthy and oh my word!

  23. stpetebucsfan Says:

    @SlyPirate

Agree with you! Vea is making EVERYBODY in that front seven look better. J T-S is a young stud for sure but Vea is a one man wrecking ball. Best MG in the league right now.

  24. Daisy Says:

    Great picture. Great kid.

  25. JimbobBucsFan Says:

Yes, we lucked out on T-S big time whereas we did not do as well when OJ also fell into our laps.

It will also be interesting to watch how Mac Jones does in the next couple of years for New England. He went at pick 14 I believe.

P.S. Maybe he will hook up with TB for hawking men’s wear, Hodad.

  26. IrishTony Says:

I predict another two sacks against Brisett this Sunday (unless JPP suits up).

  27. Crack3rK Says:

    I miss TMAXCON
