Pro Bowl Lenny?

October 18th, 2021

More big things for Bucs RB.

Joe hopes this doesn’t happen and will explain why.

But first, let’s set the stage.

On the FS1 hollering show “First Things First,” Chris Boussard made it known he thinks the Bucs are the 500-pound gorilla of the NFC and that the Super Bowl may have to go through the Stadium on Dale Mabry Highway this winter.

And a huge reason for that, Boussard believes, is the play of Playoff Lenny.

“When you see them again, they will look like the best team in the NFC,” Boussard said in the aftermath of the Bucs’ win over Philly. “They have the best offense in the NFC. You might say, ‘What about Arizona? What about Dallas?’ Well, Tom Brady is better than Dak [Prescott] and he is better than Kyler Murray. …

“Running game? I’m going to say this: Leonard Fournette, he might be headed for a Pro Bowl season. With what he is doing catching the ball and running it, I love what Fournette is doing.”

First off, Joe has heard the third-game-in-12-days stuff a few times over the weekend to excuse the Bucs allowing the Eagles to get back in the game Thursday. Joe’s not buying it.

The Eagles also were playing their third game in 12 days when they hosted the Bucs. So that lame excuse doesn’t move Joe whatsoever.

Now why Joe hopes Playoff Lenny doesn’t play in the Pro Bowl. Joe sure hopes Playoff Lenny is named to the Pro Bowl. But playing in it? Nah, man.

If Playoff Lenny suits up in Vegas in January, that means the Bucs won’t be in the Super Bowl.

Eff the Pro Bowl, man. The Bucs have bigger fish to fry.

You can see Boussard’s full take in the FS1 video below.

LF reminds Ben of a guy named Corey Dillon. Ben remembers Brady riding him to a Superbowl. It’s really the only time Brady won with a great back. It just speaks to the diversity of the offense, and Brady’s ability to always take the highest percentage play. Ben sees Brady riding this guy to the NFC title game.

Get the name right, its Playoff Lenny.. and as much as I would love to see him follow this great season with merit of a being a 2021 ProBowler, that really hurts our chances to bring him back again next year lol so maybe let RoJo get some carries lol

  3. JimmyJack Says:

Ha ha Joe. I dont think you will get any Bucs fans disagreeing with you not wanting Leonard playing in the ProBowl.

A key point here is how good Fournette has been catching the ball lately. He may have been Bradys favorite target on Thursday. That might come in handy against the Bears this week if they can get a passrush against us.

I would not of thought we would be talking about pass catching Lenny a few weeks ago. Not sure what the difference is but I hope it continues.

  4. Ben green Says:

Brady needs him. Jones is expendable

  5. Ben green Says:

Brady lives in check down city. He’s more than willing to take the short easy stuff. Ben knows, believe me. I watched the man in person, many times, defeat a team without throwing the ball 20 yards LF just needed to adjust to Brady, and get on the same page. LF can be deadly in the pass game. Jood point Jimmy Jack 🎃

BuccccNasty……Theres a big flaw in your thinking. Sure, it will cost more money to resign a probowler. But if Fournetee is one of the best RBs in football thats going to be a huge factor for us trying to repeat.

So lets hope Lenny is an AllStar player this year. Lets not hope for lesser running and lesser chances to repeat for the sake of saving a few dollars next offseason.

  7. SlyPirate Says:

Bucs made a lot of coaching staff’s look bad last year …

    Patriots – TB12
    Jaguars – 4Net
    Steelers – AB
Every team that selected an OT before Wirfs.

  8. Casual Observer Says:

Playoff Lenny is finally living up to his potential in the NFL. So great to see.

  9. MidAtlanticBucsFan Says:

MABF thinks Ben Green (above) is tripping on the same medication as pill-popping, Natty-Boh-binge-drinking, Rojo-peeved, Trask-bashing, meltdown-having, Ray-Jay-breaking-and-entering, Gruden-hating @Medicated Pete.

Corey Dillon was not a great running back. Above-average, borderline HOF’er at best.

Plus, Brady and Fournette already went to the NFC Championship game AND later won a Super Bowl together. Brady did it once with Corey Dillon. So idk how Benny Green’s comparison makes any sense LOL.

Get your popcorn, Joe. #ClownShow #GoBucs

  10. The Beer Whisperer Says:

The Eagles got back into the game, because of Uncle Bruce’s 4th down call at midfield, late in the the game.

It was a risky call, and borderline careless. Very close to ending badly.
No sense writing an article about it, everyone saw what happened.

  11. The Beer Whisperer Says:

I’m hoping to sign with the Bucs, before the deadline. To the “arm-chair QB” practice squad.

I’ve been staying in top condition by doing, typing & keyboard training, and flapping my gums.
I can give, offense & defense advice, or help TB12 with throwing mechanics issues, and help him make his reads, when needed.

  12. Leighroy Says:

People who post in 3rd person are New Englander tools. They’re also wrong about Brady being a check-down charlie, as he’s tied for 12th in the league in yards per attempt, along with some guy named Aaron Rodgers. And oh look at that 2nd place in the league with 20+ passing completions.

Come with facts, not some douchy gimmick.

  13. Ben the GA Buc Says:

Pro Bowl my @$$, I’m going to San Diego, d@mmit!

  14. Mike Johnson Says:

Ole Lenny has been a surprise thus far. Looks like he turned it up a notch this season. Hope he can keep it up.

  15. Listnfrmafar Says:

Sometimes I have to go back and read what the story is really about so many get off track. I hope Lenny realizes Lenny would be miserable on another NFL teams sideline if not.for TB12. The extra practices working on weaknesses is what makes players achieve maximum talent. The veterans on this team are crazy good. Keep it up Lenny, you may not get to play in it but the probowl nomination would be cool. I feel Bucs won’t be shunned and short of probowlers this year.

  16. Craig Says:

You have to realize that these guys come up with their line of schnitt while sitting on the toilet that morning. It is just background noise for real life.

  17. Wild Bill Says:

Two things Lenny did really well. Run hard and catch passes. No other back on the Bucs has done both run and catch as well as Lenny did. Hope he can keep it up the rest of the season. I was impressed with Josh Allen tonight. He has a GUN for a throwing arm! Brady has been hot and cold this season so far. He is far and away the smartest qb in the league. But he has not been as consistent this year. To many of his passes have been way off so far this year. He has been streaky. Sharp sometimes but missing open receivers more than usual.

  18. Wild Bill Says:

Both Bills and Titans look tough tonight. They will match up well against the Bucs.

  19. Oneilbuc Says:

Derrick Henry should be MVP this year!!! He should have been MVP last year . That’s why the MVP award is a trash award now that depends on popularity !!! That’s why I don’t make nothing out of that award it’s not a fair award anymore because they made it a quarterback award !!! That’s why I have said it a lot that the media push the quarterback position and it is a overrated position !!

  20. Bucschamp Says:

Lenny raised his game, rojo did not. You are a starter until somebody else plays better than you. Just ask Tom Goat ,he knows this very well.
