    I’m really surprised

  2. ModHairKen Says:

That’s got to be tough for him. He must really be hurting.

  3. Anonymous Says:

Not surprised…why risk aggravating an injury that could heal in a couple weeks. Not worth losing him for longer…couldn’t be easy for him though to miss this match up.

  4. NaplesBucsFan Says:

Better to let him heal than risk a long term fracture or anything…probably a little worse than they let on. Gotta be difficult for him though

  5. The Beer Whisperer Says:

That’s disappointing. Mostly, for the obvious nostalgic reasons.
Plus, Gronk is a pretty good TE, lol

  6. Buc4evr Says:

OJ better step up bigily. At least we still have Brate.

  7. Aceofaerospace Says:

I’m glad we’re not risking him for nothing. He would play lights out and could get really hurt. We’ll be ok without him, this week.

  8. Rico210 aka wutdaBucisthis Says:

    Get well big fella.
    Go Bucs

  9. DaBux Says:

    Sigh.

  10. Bellingham Bucs Fan Says:

Good move. This is a preseason game. And the Pats would be targeting his ribs.

  11. crazybucs_CL Says:

he should not play until he get fully recover…. it doesn’t matter how long it takes.
    Save Gronk. He is hurt.

  12. Tampabaybucfan Says:

That’s a shame…..you know Gronk really wants to play in this game.

  13. crazybucs_CL Says:

a real HC not a TV 🤡, that believes in his skills, leaves Tom in tampa too. Why risk him? they will try to hurt him too.
put Trask on, both sides with rookies QB, and let the best coaching staff to win!!
go there and outcoach Belichick, can you SB coach??!!
yeah, I don’t think so…. you want other do it for you, and talk to your media “friends” like a fool.
    Come on: Trask vs Jones.

  14. The Beer Whisperer Says:

Gronk, said before : “Playing in the NFL, is like being in 60 car-crashes, every week”

  15. René Says:

    Hard to believe

  16. Nano107 Says:

    crazybucs is the 🤡

  17. Sparky Says:

@crazybucs_CL yeah lets definitely leave the GOAT on the sideline and not try to win what will be one of the highest rated regular season games in history, just so the two coaches can have a dick measuring contest. Because that’s why people watch football, to see which coach yells into a headset better.

  18. Patrianakos Says:

I wouldn’t let JPP get on the plane either.
It’s a long season, and with Miami, Philadelphia, and Chicago their next three opponents, I see a good opportunity to get them both 100% for the New Orleans Week 8 game.

  19. Jmarkbuc Says:

    There goes the run game..

  20. GoldenArm Says:

I am surprised that he won’t be on the sideline in street clothes. You see that often with other teams .

  21. Oneilbuc Says:

I knew it any time they say doubtful means their out for the game.

  22. Hodad Says:

Blame Arains, never should’ve put him back in that game.

  23. unbelievable Says:

Lotta injuries stacking up less than 4 weeks into the season…

Gronk, SMB, Dean, JPP, Miller, Bernard…

  24. Wild Bill Says:

Two cracked ribs. He should not have gone back in last week.

  25. Mike Johnson Says:

For Gronk not to playin he gotta be hurtin. Now if only the..invisible man Mr. OJ Howard would step up……..? Is he still a Buc?
