Some Good News On Sidelined Players

September 30th, 2021

Expected at practice today.

With dudes starting to drop like flies, specifically on the defensive side of the ball, Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians had some good news yesterday.

Sunday, we could see the return of furniture-tossing, bicycle-throwing Antonio Brown and cornerback Jamel Dean.

Dean, Arians announced, had practiced Wednesday. The injury report listed Dean as “limited” but he practiced and he has yet to be ruled out for Sunday night at New England.

Of course, against the Rams on Sunday, Dean suffered a knee injury in the first half and missed the rest of the game.

“He practiced,” Arians said. “He’s a little bit sore.”

The second piece of good news is that Arians expects Brown to be at practice today. Brown was placed on the COVID list last week. To get off the list in less than 10 days, a vaccinated player must test negative twice with both tests coming at least 24 hours apart.

So apparently he has passed those tests.

Having both Dean & AB available to play the Pats, as well as Mickens (he practiced on a limited basis) would be huge. Also noticed on yesterday’s injury report that Minter returned (having him available for S/Ts & to sub in is huge too IMO).

Looks like neither Gronk (ribs) nor Gio (knee) practiced yesterday. Neither did JPP but doubt he’ll be ready for NE anyways. Injury report also listed a couple guys I didn’t know had gotten banged up: Carlton Davis (abdomen/ribs) & Chris Godwin (thumb), but they did practice fully. You’re right; the injuries are starting to accumulate.

Good news. Hopefully JPP’s injury won’t be a lingering issue.

I think AB shaved off his porn stache, joe

    Great news.
    LET’S GO
    BTW,
Gerald McCoy busted for P.E.D.S, man that stuck sucks lmao.
    Go Bucs

  5. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

I know many Bucs’ fans do not like Jamal Dean. Personally while he has a few bad games each year, he is still young with a very high ceiling. Dean has both speed and length, he just needs to be more detailed on his coverage.

Our young CBs never had a veteran presence to teach them the small details of the game. Now with Richard Sherman, they have a pro bowl CB to learn from.

  6. Kavan Says:

Why are you still referring to AB like that?? Keep the same energy with all players and bring up past indiscretions for literally no reason 🙂

  7. lambeau Says:

Totally agree with Alabama–a great mentor for Dean. Look at the Doug Farrar interview on touchdownwire to see how Sherman thinks.

  8. Listnfrmafar Says:

AB also has an ax to grind. Patriots dumped him after 1 game ( he had 5 catches one a TD). Pat’s tried to get out of paying him. The ironically is they dumped him for his little face cloth junk covering incident with the woman painting his mural and trainer accusations while Robert Kraft was being investigated for his Johnny Holms wannabe porn video at the rub & tug in Jupiter. AB is going to go off on that weak NE secondary.

Anyone have info on how long SMB (Sean Murphey-Bunting) is out?

  10. SlyPirate Says:

Bowles needs to get the 2021 Bucs defense going … I’m sure he will but man it’s frustrating.

Really? You couldn’t find another picture of Gronk to layer into this photo? He looks like he’s playing grabass with Sherman. SMDH

LOL. I was expecting him to say, “Colt 45. Works every time!”

Kinda ironic, but big difference. The masseuse was a willing participant. The painter and trainer, not so much.

With Sherman there to teach n the other vets… This team gonna be ok

    Dean is too sweet.

He will never be successful until he finds his fire and rage.

He is far more athletic than Carlton Davis.

But Carlton Davis is a wild gangster and Jamel Dean looks like a Mama’s boy with a baby face.

Dean should be better than Antonio Cromartie.

But instead, he may not even get a contract extension from the Bucs.
