Jamel Dean Doubtful For Patriots Game

September 28th, 2021

Status update.

Is Richard Sherman’s flight to Tampa today a cause-and-effect?

Lost in the buzz over Sherman, a former All-Pro cornerback, flying to Tampa to work out for the Bucs is that cornerback Jamel Dean is doubtful to play for the Bucs in Sunday night’s game in New England.

Dean got hurt early in the loss to the Rams.

So first Sean Murphy Bunting goes down with a dislocated elbow early in the first game of the year and then two weeks later Dean goes down. That’s your Nos. 2 and 3 corners.

Is that what got Sherman off his couch today?

This Franchise would still be a laughingstock w/o TB12

  2. chris l Says:

thank goodness him and bernard arent significant. even ridiculous we were risking our players out there in the final quarter sunday. so ridiculous

  3. SB~LV Says:

Gonna have to run the ball this Sunday to keep the ball away!

  4. Buc1987 Says:

Is Sherman even in game shape?

    Perhaps we’ll see.

  5. SufferingSince76 Says:

I’m sure if there were other options they would have been explored. Desperate times, etc.

  6. Tc Says:

Should have used the 2nd round pick on CBC.

  7. dmatt Says:

I’d rather have Sherman’s aggressiveness, field general, swag at 33 n 4.6 forty time over JDeans passive, confused, slow to react, deer in the headlight, n 4.4 forty any day.

  8. crazyBucs_CL Says:

without TB12 we will compete with Jets and Jaguars for 1st pick first round 2022.
that is not a joke, that is not exaggeration.
maybe we are the only team that can go from hero to zero just by removing the QB.
How this is good coaching, how is this good managing… !!??

Dean sucks anything is an improvement. Just rewatched the game 1st series offsides, Johnson not knowing how to run an out pattern, Dean drop, Gronk drop in fingertips, bad holding call on Edward’s last first qtr. Defense not being able to get off the field. This was ugly from the onset.

  10. Jodibrown74 Says:

Dean isn’t a loss at all. Anyone else would be an upgrade. He has no football instincts and is far too mechanical

  11. Buxszntkt Says:

This crowd is definitely bipolar! Went from pollyanna’s too all Doom and gloom on Sunday. We need a good dose of Seroquel, I mean a solid win, to get us back to feeling good! Right Pete

  12. Pelbuc Says:

Dean has been a huge disappointment. All his speed means nothing. His collosal drop last game was huge. Not that big of a loss.

  13. BillyBucoff Says:

    Catch the freakin ball.
Arians said the same thing last year about our CBs.
SMB turned it around directly after.

Sometimes you have to think Im gonna pick this off to play good defense.
Sherman does this in his sleep.

Those pick plays LA ran wont work against Sherman.
I’m tired of reaching for DBs that have speed.
How about one who is smart.

Have said it for years, cornerback is one of the positions that get injured the most. Always was happy with picking multiple cornerbacks in the draft. You have to be able to adjust and have a next man step up.

Every year New England and Green Bay take cornerbacks in the draft. They do not always work out but you need to keep trying for this tough position to play in the NFL.

  15. Chris K Says:

Pete, are you our new troll? I haven’t seen the other well known ones for quite some time.

  16. tampabuscsbro Says:

man This comment section is wild.

Did Y’all even watch Jameis play he was giving us a clinic on why DBs don’t play WR.

    They cannot catch.

Also yeah anything is an improvement that undrafted practice squad guy didn’t look infinitely worse at all.

I am not saying he is without fault by any means but there are some delusional people in here.

  17. Listnfrmafar Says:

A guy named Higsbee beat our DB’s. WTF

  18. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I hope Jamel thinks about that dropped interception every day…..I know I do.

  19. PSL Bob Says:

I thought Dean was out with a dislocated wrist from that missed interception that hit him in the hands.
