Bruce Arians Talks Up Joe Tryon-Shoyinka

September 26th, 2021

Big game for the rookie.

Today’s a big day, kid. Time to step up. Your team needs you.

With Jason Pierre-Paul in Florida nursing his sore shoulder and chasing cockroaches in his pad, in what may be the Battle for the No. 1 Bye, Joe Tryon-Shoyinka will get a lot of snaps today.

And Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians, while hyping JTS, admitted he’s going to blow some assignments.

Why? Well, he’s a rookie in his third game playing a damn good team.

“No, he’ll make some mistakes but he’s going to make some things happen full-speed too, Arians said.

It sure would be awesome if JTS can pull through with a monster game, say two sacks of Matt Stafford in the second half. Arians is confident JTS has it in him.

“Yeah, we got lucky with that one,” Arians said of the No. 32 pick overall in this spring’s draft. “And a really damn good one.”

Prove your coach right this afternoon, Joe!

75 to 1 odds that Gene Deckerhoff says his name correctly for the first time ever “Shyion-Troyinka” 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Most definitely we need a spark of some kind to get this pass rush started up JST9 your number just got called!!! Man Up and Beast Out!

  3. Anonymous Says:

    I say he doesn’t Pete !!!
JTS, Shaq and Dw45 better perform tomorrow ! Stafford is a great QB who finally has a great team. He’s seen what Dak and Matty did and everyone is writing about the way to beat the Bucs now .
Hope Bowles has the team ready to shut down the short quick passes , and cover the deep ones that Stafford is sure to launch.

  4. Buxszntkt Says:

    I bet you’re wrong Pete !
Sure hope Bowles has the team prepared for this game. Stafford is a great QB who finally has a great team ! Everyone is writing about how Dak and Matty scored so many points with the quick short pass and screw the run. Shaq, JTS and DW45 better be primed for the game and someone deep cuz Stafford is sure to launch some deep shots , Kupp or Dooshawn Jackson.

  6. August 1976 Buc Says:

Stafford great? That remains to be seen. He is good, but great , no not yet anyways. He has been Injured alot over his career.

And about the Rams game against the Colts last week, the Colts got zero points from 1st and goal twice….o ZERO The Lambs should have lost the game.

So nothing to write home to mamma about with the Rams as of yet.

    GO BUCS!!!!!!!

  7. BA4President Says:

Yaw be nice to Gene the King, he’s getting up there in age. I love that dude. And if he screws up, it just makes him that much more endearing like Madden in his later career. He could simply refer to JTS as “Joey” and I wouldn’t give a sh..

  8. Kansas95Buc Says:

On my way to the game now, defense gotta show up today or it’ll be a long day at the office

  9. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Bucs fans are going to be extremely mad after the Bucs lose to the Rams.

    Why?

Because you all are living in some kinda fantasy land thinking somehow and someway an average rookie that was drafted WAY TOO high will make an impact.

Futhermore…..the secondary is complete garbage playing with 3rd stringers……except for Carlton Davis.

This game will fully expose how bad the D-LINE pass rush has fallen off from Last year and how BAD the secondary really is.

The only reason the secondary looked good last year because of the D-LINE play…………that’s it! That’s the truth.

When the Bucs lose today…..yall come back and holla at me.

  10. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    @ Kansas95Buc

Don’t you mean the secondary and pass rush showing up?????

……stuffing the run ain’t gonna get it done today……ain’t happening son

  11. August 1976 Buc Says:

Brady Clean Jersey and not a bunch of turnovers and the Bucs win. Pretty simple really.

If any watched the Rams and Colts last week like I did, saw the Cots have 1st and goal twice and got Zero Points because of Boneheaded play by Wentz. The Lambs should have lost. They do not look like what all the talking heads are saying.

Again Brady Clean Jersey and not a bunch of turnovers and the Bucs win the Shootout at the SoFi Corral.

    Pretty simple really.

    GO BUCS!!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!

  12. Razor Ramone Says:

When did Matt Stafford become a great quarter back?

  13. Señor Harry in Costa Rica Says:

Stafford is damn good. I don’t know what you guys have watched over the years. I would have been thrilled to get him as the Bucs QB before we landed TB (but not at a price of 3 1st Rd picks, omg!)

Not worried about JTS getting after the QB, but you will see this is where the Rams will scheme to run the ball. JTS is a rookie, easy to take him out of the play when he is over-pursuing, or to have the opposite guard pull to JTS’ side and double him.

Regardless, this is set up as a shootout. Not a defensive game. Bowles will run a lot of 3 high shell defense to just slow them down so TB can outscore the Rams.

    BUCS WIN!!! 😎😁

  14. Bobby M. Says:

Great game to gauge the rookie as well as the entire team. The Rams are considered a playoff contender, win or lose, we’ll get an early look at what we have to do better.

BREAKING NEWS: LEONARD FOURNETTE is starting today. THE HEADCASE is now 2nd string

  16. Darin Says:

No wonder you’re medicated Pete! You listen to Deck do the games? Yikes I’d need plenty of meds too. Deck loves giving out phantom touchdowns

  17. Buccos Says:

The troll Bucs Anthem is back. He waits for a game with a top contender to pick against the Bucs. Just get out of here kid. Go back to your mom’s basement. The Bucs will beat the Rams today and will beat them again in the playoffs on their way to another Super Bowl victory!! It is glorious to be a Bucs fan these days.

  18. Medicated Pete Says:

    @Darin

Pete likes to listen to the opponents radio broadcast while watching the game but if the others teams radio crew are extremely boring, Pete will listen to Gene COMPLETELY BUTCHER the broadcast

  19. BucEmUp Says:

This is why he was drafted

  20. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I was hoping that ROJO would start today, because he played for USC. He will have plenty of friends at this game.

  21. Timbucs2 Says:

The more they put it in the air, the more opportunities for our DBs to make a play. All those batted passes last week are going to be a trend… Just because the front seven aren’t getting sacks doesn’t mean they aren’t getting effective.

I think the Hollywood Rams come back down to earth today.

  22. Jerry Says:

According to PFT, Rams starting RB Darrell Henderson is unlikely to play due to rib injury.

Hope the secondary is ready because the Rams are going to pass the entire game.

  23. Hawk Says:

It is possible that Joe could have the kind of game that starts a bigger debate than Lenny/RoJo.

  24. Bojim Says:

Bucsanthem. So you’re not watching the game to the Bucs win? Thought you were a fan? Guess not.

  25. Cobraboy Says:

Coming Out Party of the NFL kind.

We get to see what the kid is made of on the Big Stage.

One hopes the coaching staff believed their team could beat Dallas and Atlanta on talent alone, holding back some schemes, in anticipation of this game.

This one game could set the tone for the rest of the season. Win, and the sky is the limit. Lose, and it becomes a more difficult climb, and they are in second place in the division.

  26. Leighroy Says:

The blitzes need to get home as much (if not more) as JTS needs to have an effective game. Blitzes failing against stafford will equate to disaster if only 5-6 guys remain in coverage. A 4-man rush not getting there can still be made up for with 7 in coverage.

  27. Defense Rules Says:

I’d be perfectly happy if JTS just did his job. Since Stafford has only been sacked 2 times total in 2 games, somehow I doubt that the rookie will sack him twice in the 2nd half. But hey, anything’s possible on any given Sunday.

JPP hasn’t been his usual self to start this season (0 sacks, 0 QB Hits, 0 TFLs), but teams still respected his ability to play the run (9 tackles) and in pass defense (1 PD). Rams like to run & pass outside, and doing that to JTS’s side will be really tempting. Just do your job rookie.

  28. You gotta be crazy Says:

Stop it y’all…. Can’t show too much on the D too soon. Like last year it’s playoffs that matter… Don’t wanna be undefeated… Need humility

Gene Deckerhoff is horrible, plain and simple. Almost everything he says while describing the game is FLAT OUT WRONG. I’ve never understood the love for this guy.

A good radio announcer has the ability (with their words) to make the listener feel as though they are actually at the game. When GD is on the air, it’s as though he doesn’t know that HE’S at the game, smh.
I’ve never heard another professional announcer (and I’ve worked with a TON of them) botch nearly every statement that they make and get away with it like GD does. It’s disgraceful, and embarrassing.

Stafford great? That remains to be seen. He is good, but great , no not yet anyways. He has been Injured alot over his career. He was in the same draft class as Josh Freeman in 2009.

He is still never won a playoff game, and been hurt a lot over the years. Good yes but great that remains to be seen. Time will tell, but so far no.

    GO BUCS!!!!

Total points line at 55.5 right now and has been trending up. The fortune tellers obviously don’t think much of our D, or of theirs either.

A legend that’s WAY past his expiration date.

You couldn’t be more wrong about your bandwagon jab. I’ve been a dedicated fan since the ownership change. It’s been 24 years since I’ve lived in Tampa, yet everyone who knows me understands my dedication to the Bucs. I always wear my colors, whether the team is any good or not. That’s the opposite of bandwagon.

  39. Mike Says:

Bucs are going to bring it today folks. Get ready for a battle royale! I think JTS will show up and make some plays. He is extremely gifted and has a lot of tools available to him.
