There’s a secret at One Buc Palace.
Defensive tackle Rakeem “Nacho” Nuñez-Roches referenced it to Joe and assembled media today.
Joe asked Nuñez-Roches what, if anything, is different about life at One Buc Palace this summer considering all the starters are back and so many other players.
Interestingly, the Bucs starter in place of Vita Vea last year said a lot is different and it’s about expectations.
Nuñez-Roches said there’s an in-house goal defensively that he will not share publicly, “something we want to do this year to be very special.” He really emphasized a more goal-driven attitude and left it at that.
Joe is intrigued.
Are the Bucs shooting to be the No. 1 defense? Maybe they want to be historic and lead the NFL in run defense for the third consecutive season? Lead the NFL in sacks?

Doesn’t every team start the season this way? Some goal for the O adn D? For me, I just want to sweep, more like curb stomp, the entire division. Just because. I hate them all. Badly.

I have to chuckle ever time I hear the name Nuñez-Roches.
Back in my weed smoking days (Unlike Clinton I did Inhale) we used to leave Roaches in the ash tray, for when the weed was in short supply.
My good friend was named Tony Nunez, and Tony was known for stealing those saved Roaches out of ash trays so much so, we nicknamed him Nunez Roaches 🙂

Zero rushing TDs allowed on the season? We’ve had the #1 rush D for like 3 consecutive seasons now and that seems like a possible accomplishment, albiet a very difficult one.
