Hyping The Bucs

July 15th, 2021

Oh Tom, you are so hype.”

Sorry, this is not necessarily a hype video. But it is a video about hype.

In the throes of July, “Good Morning Football” pulled out its second string with the first team all on vacation. And the subject was hype.

The NFL Network’s weekday morning show debated who had more preseason hype, this year’s Rams or last year’s Bucs.

You can see what Maurice Jones-Drew, Mike Garafolo and Adam Rank had to say below.

Joe’s of the opinion that the Bucs last year got more hype. Way, way, way more hype. Think about it, we were all locked down. There were no other sports to distract  or discuss. Every day, all day long, local and national sports radio shows talked about Tom Brady and the Bucs. For weeks.

Hell, even prized JoeBucsFan.com columnist Ira Kaufman got invited to visit a sports radio show in Toledo to discuss Brady and the Bucs — Toledo, hello!

The Rams? Outside of Los Angeles, Joe isn’t sure the Rams are getting any more hype than the Bucs this year, forget last year’s hype.

Stafford and the Rams are gonna be nasty.

    “Pound the Rock!”

We must run the ball all season. We have best backfield in the NFL.

    Bucs more hype for sure.

Can’t wait to see big sexy (Vita Vea) collapse the pocket all day long, and then watch Shaq/JPP/Suh gobble up their one on one and dominate. Will Gholston is solid too- led our team in QB hits last year. Go Bucs!

And, to me, Vita Vea is a hybrid of Vince Wilfork and Troy Polamalu. So happy with Licht picking trench players early in drafts, so refreshing from Dominik refusing to draft O-Line.

    I sure miss Miko watch.

  7. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

So…we lose to the Rams in game 3, and then in the playoffs we stomp them…

  8. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Vea will likely injure himself before game 3. But that’s okay, so long as he comes back to get us all the way in time.
