Tom Brady Called Kyle Trask

May 7th, 2021

“Bruce, I will help the kid out. But remember I’m still the big cheese here.”

When the Packers drafted Aaron Rodgers in 2005, incumbent Green Bay quarterback Brett Favre was so miffed he barely gave Rodgers the time of day.

When the Packers drafted quarterback Jordan Love last year, Rodgers threw such a hissy fit that the drama queen, despite being one play away from a Super Bowl, has told the Packers to trade him or he will retire (allegedly).

So what happened when Mr. Seven Rings, park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking, tequila-shooting, smartphone-phobic, waffle-grilling, trophy-throwing, roller-coaster-scared, numbers-rules-peeved Bucs-Super-Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady learned of the Bucs drafting his eventual successor, Kyle Trask?

Brady called Trask up to give him the lay of the land in Tampa and told Trask he wants to meet up to throw the ball around to get Trask’s feet wet with the Bucs before minicamp a week from today.

This comes straight from Trask’s mouth.

Last night Trask appeared on “Total Access,” seen and heard weeknights on NFL Network. There, Trask was asked by host MJ Acosta if he spoke with Brady since he was selected by the Bucs in the second round.

“He actually did reach out to me a couple of days after the draft,” Trask said. “He was checking in to see when I was going to get into town so we can get together and do some throwing and things like that.

“That meant a lot to me.”

Trask said Brady wasn’t the only Bucs player to call him. Though he didn’t specify who, other Bucs got a hold of him, Trask said, and it left an impression.

“You can definitely tell they have a great culture and a great group of people in the building,” Trask said. “I can’t wait to get started.”

Talk about a teammate! Brady could have easily big-leagued Trask like Favre did to Rodgers. Instead, Brady welcomed Trask to Tampa and wants to work out with him.

Class.

  2. OneBuc55 Says:

Im an FSU fan but I do like KT…

I think he’s definitely a throwback as far as his game is concerned…When I watched him play I thought he was a scrappy/accurate QB…Imho Trask and Lance were the QBs in this last draft that landed in the best situations…

  3. AKicknTheBucNuts Says:

Trask went on to say that he has landed in the ideal situation and that he is chomping at the bit to give interviews about his ideal, best fit in the NFL situation with the Bucs.

  4. Buczilla Says:

I’ll just continue to say that we got so lucky getting Brady man.

  5. All lives matter Says:

Brady doesn’t feel insecure, especially at 43 and winning another Super Bowl. He’s not scared one iota that Trask will somehow take his job. lol

  6. Medicated Pete Says:

Tom to Trask ” Hey Kyle, I have this secret youth potion that aliens gave me because I’m in the illuminati and you ain’t getting none”

  7. Drew Says:

The thing that impresses me the most is the amount of class this team is showing.

  11. rrsrq Says:

  17. Darin Says:

Brady is pissed with the Trask pick. Licht called him on draft night and told him he was drafting a QB. Brady “tisk tisk:. Of course Licht thought he said “Trask Trask”. So now Brady and Rodgers are both whining. Could be traded for each other. There’s a bay there too, he can take his new yacht. Spread the news

  18. LISTNFRMAFAR Says:

Hey kid let’s see what you got. If it’s nothing I ain’t wasting any time with you. Give me your best shot if you want to learn the secrets wonders of the Old Great One.

  19. Will Says:

@rrsrq I agree 100% MJ Acosta is very nice to look at.
Brady taking the kid under his wing is a great thing. Hopefully he’s like a sponge and takes it all in and when Brady decides to hang up his cleats Trask is ready to go and fills in nicely.
Bucs fans we’re in a place we’ve all dreamed of but I surely never thought I’d see our team being led by the GOAT.
    GO BUCS!

  20. Medicated Pete Says:

I’d like to take MJ Acosta for a spin

  21. SufferingSince76 Says:

Ok, Darin. From which of your body orifices did you pull that?

  22. PSK Bucs Fan Says:

Joe’s! Please shorten the Brady paragraph, it’s getting old and annoying to the point of intolerable. Each new phrase mat have been humorous or at least appropriate at first but c’mon man! Many readers seem to feel the same way, is it at good business strategy to continue to annoy your customers with this nonsense!

  23. Bbro Says:

The Bucs hands down is one class act team now that feeds off of one another. I tell you when they won the Super Bowl and ones like ShaqB. Commented “All Glory to God” I could feel the great things that were happening. Cheers to All our players for giving, helping and showing our youth good things players do that make our world a better place to live. Amen Brothers

  24. Eddie Marz Says:

Yeah Joe, dump the played out intro. Anyway Brady wants good players on his team, and certainly wants what’s best for the team. Some people have a hard time believing that. GO BUCS!

  25. LISTNFRMAFAR Says:

PSK Bucs Fan, I agree 100% intolerable to the point I close out the thread sometimes and skip reading it. Annoying to say the least. Joe, it’s ok to have small articles, no reason to fill it with added BS.

  26. Cainishere Says:

All you guys with all this negative garbage. I honestly think you type it just to stand outside the group. No wonder people think the Bucs have stupid fans. Really?

  27. Ne+ bucs fan Says:

    Yeah Joe,,lol

  28. Hissylizzard Says:

Such a lie,Rodgers didnt throw a hissy fit when Love was drafted, these morons need to be held accountable for lying

  29. Buc Unto Death Says:

Brady is not intimidated, nor is he “keeping his enemies close.” Brady knows his physical abilities will diminish. he is looking to cement his legacy as the G.O.A.T. by not only collecting SB rings and records but preparing the team for his eventual departure. Trask has up to 20 years ahead of him. Trask knows if he wants to make the best of it, he needs to tune out the vocal douchebags and the fabricated controversies and learn everything he can from Brady. Trask knows that when Brady is ready, he will boost Trask into the position at the right time with the right mentality and confidence.

  30. Baby Grace Says:

    PKS,Eddie,LISTNFRMAFAR

I completely agree!! It was cute at first, but then it began to be annoying and now it has become insufferable besides being disrespectable to the guy who brought us a Super Bowl.

  31. BUCFAN4LIFE Says:

“Suffering Since 76” , I’ll give you only one guess which orifice his idiot comment came from .

  32. August 1976 Buc Says:

Monikers forever, lol Brady is just being Brady, he massive asset to the present and the Future the Bucs. BA does not want the cupboard bare when one of his coaches takes over for him. lol lol Monikers forever lol Your Blog model is working Joes’ GO BUCS!!!!

  33. August 1976 Buc Says:

We had the Mike Glennon Mob, now the Moniker mob is growing lol lol GO JBF, GO BUCS!!!

  34. K2 Says:

Rogers wasn’t upset because of the competition! He was upset because he need lineman who can block and more weapons on offense. Brady can be happy because he as all the toys he needs. It would have been different if the Bucs were lacking on key positions. Green Bay is a contender because of Rogers! If he walks the Green Bay will slide big-time.

  35. TorontoBucsFollower Says:

JOE, a few people have lately suggested that you drop the “home invading, park violating……” line from your Brady post. Myself, I love the line …… the things you include in this tag line are now pieces of Bucs lore.

BUT, maybe you can put in as an asterisk *** wherever you mention Brady and put the tag line at the bottom of the article.

  36. MadMax Says:

Its Joe’s site, they gonna do what they wanna do. I just skip to the end of the sentence, pretty simple really lol.

  37. TorontoBucsFollower Says:

Of course it’s Joes site! But I think my suggestion (two posts above this one) is pretty a reasonable and “non-whiny”. lol

  38. lokog Says:

if tom brady asks me to jump I jump no questions asked

  39. Ne+ bucs fan Says:

Guess we can just skip over them,,, kinda like how I skip over cainishere posts

  40. Anonymous Says:

The, hair pulling, teeth grinding, head shaking, speed reading, wanting meat of the bone matter, bucs breathing, tired WWE promo commenters have spooking!

  41. FrankPillow Says:

The GOAT is the GOAT for a reason. Sure, he won another SB with us…but I’d argue his single greatest achievement might be the complete and total transformation perception of this franchise and the establishment of a lead-by-example winning culture!

  42. lambchop Says:

Class act. Sometimes they say, “Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.” Muhahahaha. Brady’s gonna get done with the throwing session and be like, this kid has a long way to catch me.
