It’s Official: Antonio Brown Signs 2021 Contract

May 25th, 2021

When it comes to Antonio Brown, it feels best to not assuming anything.

The furniture-hurling, bicycle-throwing Bucs receiver is an unpredictable kind of guy. But Brown was a predictable presence on the field last season. No Bucs pass catcher averaged more targets per game from Tom Brady.

This morning, Brown arrived at One Buc Palace to sign his 2021 contract, following a knee surgery/cleanup that delayed finalizing the agreement he reached with the Bucs weeks ago, following the quiet and confidential conclusion to the civil rape-related suit against him.

Joe can’t wait to see the Dallas secondary try to contain the Bucs in 15 short weeks.

Scary scenario for Bucs opponents. What a show is in store.

  6. SB Says:

How SICK is it going to be to have 3 #1 WRs for an Entire Season with the GOAT at the helm with a year’s experience in our system???
Other teams have to be saying. “Wait! That’s not fair!”

  7. Dean Bucs fan for life!!! Says:

Finally is Right!!! This offense is prolific; and the defense is great and learned how to win!!!! lets go get Lombardi #3 Get the boats fueled! Go Bucs!!!

  8. SB Says:

    “15 short weeks”

Dam Joe! You just ruined my day by reminding me how FAR away Joy is!

  9. lambeau Says:

There’s a lot of talk today about Julio being the most productive receiver the last ten years–but he and Antonio both had a six year stretch where they gained 9000 yards. I’d say their production is pretty similar. Julio is six months younger.

    Awesome,awesome…

  11. Mitch Says:

Antonio Brown has 6 seasons with over 100 catches and 1200 yards. Jerry Rice and Randy Moss combined have 6.

  12. Winny Testaverde Says:

Brown could be the difference between a playoff loss vs Super Bowl berth. He may also be playing to replace Godwin and/or Evans in 2022. Excellent signing…

  15. catcard202 Says:

    HEY MITCH….

Randy Moss had (10) 1000yd seasons & (9) seasons catching 10 or more TD’s, in his 1st 12yrs in the league…Making him arguably the #2 WR to ever strap them up. (Next to Rice)

AB good…But he only 7 & 4 in the above categories in 11yrs in the league.
AB good…But he is not in the same HOF room as Moss & Rice. (Not yet anyway)

  16. mark2001 Says:

Can’t wait for Joe to put some of the past court cases and such in the rear view mirror. I don’t see what it adds to the article. And don’t remember any crab leg freebee, sexual assault accused adjectives used with Jameis. But each to their own.

  17. lambeau Says:

    DeAndre Hopkins $25 M/yr
    Julio Jones $23 M/yr
    AB $3 M guaranteed

  18. Mitch Says:

@Catcard – As long as AB can keep his personal life straight he still has time to accomplish those things. He didn’t start full time until his 4th season and then rattled off six consecutive seasons of 100 catches and 1200 yards. He has a similar work ethic to Jerry Rice who had five or six 1000 yard seasons after turning 32. AB can do that physically as long as he stays healthy.

Bucs just might have three 1000 yard receivers this year.

  19. Steven007 Says:

Lambeu, right? I’ll take our guy for three mil.

  20. lambeau Says:

Tom’s targets are amazing. I’m guessing per game average:
    AB 7 targets
    Evans 7
    Godwin 7
    TE’s 7
    RB’s 7
    Scotty 3

  21. Oxycondoms Says:

Plua oj howard and bernard and the rookie wide out. Nasty

  22. capecodder Says:

This guy has an incredible amount of football talent.Wish him the best as its always a shame to see talent lose focus.

  23. Fred Orlando Says:

I’m feeling Lambeau: 20 million dollar man making 3 million plus earned bonuses.
    How sweet it is….

  24. Buc-em-up84 Says:

We’re lucky to have ab. Many people talk about his off field issues but fail to realize If not for those self inflicted issues we wouldn’t have an Antonio brown on the roster

  25. LISTNFRMAFAR Says:

Brown WILL do his thing on the field. Julio Jones to Seattle would be interesting.

  26. DaBux Says:

But, but, BSPN and PFT said there’s a chance he wouldn’t sign (rolling eyes just like last year I is)…
