Erin Andrews Talks Tom Brady Intensity

April 19th, 2021

Joe reads and hears a lot from players talking about Tom Brady’s unique fire and focus, but it’s a little different to hear it from a broadcaster.

Renowned reporter Erin Andrews chimed in recently on Brady after being asked what makes him stand out. Andrews has had varied access to Brady through sitdown interviews and a personal relationship.

“What separates him? First of all, he is competitive as hell,” Andrews told The Carlos Watson Show. “We’ve spent some time together in the summer out in Montana. If it’s a kickball tournament, if it’s my husband golfing with him, he wants to kick your ass. I had to pitch on his kickball team last summer, and I was sweating bullets. He’s just so intense. And then what I hear from Troy Aikman about Tom in terms of the quarterback world, is he’s just smart. He really is. And he’s so disciplined in terms of what he drinks and what he eats. Proud of him for that avocado tequila. I was like, ‘Yes, Tom, you’re human.’”

Fun stuff, but Joe will disagree with Andrews on the “human” part of Brady. He’s certainly not human, not like any other NFL human, and that’s what makes his ride on the Buccaneers’ pirate ship so exhilarating.

I never got the Erin Andrews thing… not my kind of good looking and asks dime a dozen questions. Some how she got tapped as the “one “ and is constantly shoved in front of camera.. pet peeve rainy day rant

She got her foot in the door with a dad in the business. Locally actually. I think she kind of blew up when the keyhole camera scandal happened some years ago…

Erin Andrews seems better than average in everything to me.
Just my opinion. Not may favorite on anything but solid. Happy for her success as a local person.

I definitely like Erin Andrews better than some of the opinionated talkers they have on BSPN. One has to remember she is over 40 now, used to be the age when the networks would put the ladies out to pasture or at least reduce their visibility. She does a good job IMHO. Call me a homer but I pull for the homegrown talent like Hillsborough’s Andrews and Sara Walsh who I think is from New Port Richey. I am happy for their success along with geno711.

I like her. I think she’s beautiful and if she wasn’t good at what she does then why is she up front?

I liked her take. Dont get enough of the way he is behind closed doors away from the public. His story will be made into a movie someday.

Listen, its a good story. I like the behind closed doors off the field stories on Brady. Sometimes, because of his history, his story, it is hard to humanize him. This guy is competitive off the charts. No one equals his intensity, life long dedication to improve and grow as a qb. Theres no one that leads with his gravitas and weight of accomplishments, no one as money in walking the walk as Tom Brady. His story will be made into a movie someday. Good on her and good on anyone doing good and living a proper, balanced , healthy life.

Erin Andrews went to school at Bloomingdale High School shortly after I did. She’s a local girl. She’s great at her job and she avoids being an idiot. She’s at a bare minimum cute and that shouldn’t really matter anyway. She works on her craft and is definitely football literate.
