“It’s Never Been Done Before”

January 5th, 2021

Beware of the Bucs.

It’s wild. And after you blink a few times and shake the cobwebs out of your head (a difficult task some mornings), it’s real!

A 43-year old man is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Joe doesn’t know if this is testimony to good genes, good products (TB12!) or just dumb luck, or maybe all of the above. But park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is defying both Father Time and NFL history.

Brady, almost by himself, has lifted a once woebegone franchise not just into a winner, but in some circles a dark horse to play in the Super Bowl.

Closet Bucs fan Peter Schrager of NFL Network explained on the show he co-hosts, “Good Morning Football,” seen and heard weekday mornings on NFL Network, that not only are the Bucs a scary team but a team that should be feared in the playoffs.

Schrager rattled off Brady’s stats and said, “It’s better now than … in September, October, November.” The Bucs” are playing as well as any team in football.”

And as you will hear on the next edition of the “Ira Kaufman Podcast,” if the Bucs win Saturday night without star receiver Mike Evans, how many teams do you know that can brag they are adding two stars to their roster for the second round of the playoffs, Devin White and Evans?

Joe is stoked.

See Schrager’s full take in the NFL Network video below.

Without a QB of the future we are all dressed as princesses in Cinderella’s carriage at 11 something

  2. Nick2 Says:

I dont want to jinx this but I was in Vegas in March pre Tom Brady to Tampa and I put down $20 the Bucs make it to the Super Bowl. The payout $1000. Please Donovan don’t wilt against Chase Young. This needs to be the game of your life.

  3. I CARE NOW Says:

Since when does Yards and TDs equal automatic MVP?

Brady should be ahead of All these guys with Allen and Rogers being close second place finishers.

    MVP MVP.

Wish I could of gone to the games just to have a sign and start a chant for Brady to be MVP!!!

  4. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Bucs are not only good…..they are relevant and they are definitely more popular……we have many new fans…..especially women……..the like Gronk & love Brady…..

Moniker lovin’, Johnny Football fan, Crown Royal & Beer chuggin’, Rachel Watson dreaming, sack erection, free agent coveting, defensive end lusting, moderation invoking, Joe.

  6. Casual Observer Says:

The Bucs are peaking at the right time. Barring injury, they can match up with anyone. Super Bowl? Why not. It’s the home field!

  7. adam from ny Says:

  8. Hawk Says:

@ TBBF LOL!! I will read that *every* time you write it… until you’ve written more than 3 times. 🙂

  9. Clean House Says:

Winston beat all of them 5109 check yo sheets

  10. NashvilleBuc Says:

@Hawk @TBBF I’ve read it three times and it is still making me cry. That’s just funny AF.

  11. geno711 Says:

Clean House you may have a point.

I am not 100 percent certain that Brady would have had another 476 yards passing even if he had been as consistent as Jameis Winston by throwing another 19 interceptions to consistently put his team far behind.

Or by taking twice as many sacks.

Or by three times as many fumbles.

Of by twice the amount of penalties.

And I am glad, we did not find out about your Clean House type of stat sheet.

  12. Rod Munch Says:

I feel bad for anyone who has to watch this drivel.

  13. NashvilleBuc Says:

@geno711 That’s funny AF too! Damn ya’ll are on fire today.

  14. Joe in Michigan Says:

Hey, some people would rather have an extra 25 yards passing per game with the added 18 interceptions. These people know nothing about football, but are still entitled to their flawed opinion.

  15. Buc1987 Says:

    “Jameis….not so much.”

    TBBF…I laughed my ass off!

  16. Colonel_mp Says:

Mahomes easily takes #1 if he plays Week 17.

  17. Bucsfan951 Says:

Come on clean house, now you’re just trolling BIG time!

  18. Dapostman Says:

So Brady played better against the Vikings, the Lions and the Falcons twice vs the Saints twice, The Bears and whichever decent team he laid an egg against. Wow this Schager is a g*d damn genius. Just like Forrest Gump. What I don’t understand is people actually watch these huckleberrys. SMH.

  19. Listnfrmafar Says:

I guess the division leader SB favored Packers count for nothing. Hard to compare a QB that knows their system and teammates like the back of their hand versus a QB that spent 20 yrs in same system starting in a completely different system. Let’s see how they fair now against the Bucs. Maybe if the Saints are up 40 points in their PO game Winston can shake the dust off, Or maybe Saints trade him to Eagles so the next time they want to blow a game via fumble or int they have the Billy Goat.

  20. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Chase Young is from Ohio State, and Donovan Smith is from Penn State.
Tristan Wirfs is also from Iowa, another Big 10 Team.
You can BET that our guys will want to shut Chase Young down, in this playoff game!

  21. webster Says:

Some of yall breaths smell like winston’s balls. Give it a rest d@mn

  22. JimbobBucsFan Says:

The Bucs are peaking now when they should be (or in any given year for a would be champion) at the start of the playoffs.

Not only that, they are peaking in spite of of having a new QB this year. And especially, they are doing it in spite of THE VIRUS and its obstacles. (Those have been covered over and and over again all season long.)

Go Bucs! Trounce the Washington Whatevers!
