Big Talk = Major Importance

Bruce Arians

He didn’t have to, but Bucco Bruce Arians was vocal all last week that his team was playing to win today for the No. 5 NFC seed and players would not be rested.

Well, when you do that, you better freakin’ win against a sad Falcons team.

Yes, the Falcons have a habit of playing close games and choking away wins. That’s what awful teams do.

That’s why they fired their head coach, and that’s why the interim head coach has a losing record and the team is 4-11 overall.

Atlanta is not a team you can let walk into your house and beat you in the season finale when your head coach says you’re all-in.

Devin White and Shaq Barrett are out today, and Joe does not care. The Bucs defense should still be able to make the run-challenged Falcons one-dimensional, and the Bucs offense has more than enough juice to run up the score on Atlanta. They just hung 31 second-half points on them two weeks ago. That total (over four quarters) should be good enough for a “W” today.

No excuses today for the Bucs. None.

You told the world that this game matters, then Joe firmly believes it does — a lot.

We do owe a gratitude to the Falcons for one thing: The finale last year with yet another pick six by #3 in OT was absolutely another nail in the coffin to dump him and bring in a new QB. That said, yes, they need to win today. Don’t want to go into the playoffs on a loss.

I will be at the game. I want to see the offensive juggernaut in action live! Plus, seeing some sacks of Matty Ice would be awesome! Go JPP!

With the defense depleted, now is the time for the offense to perform the way they are capable….

I can guarantee you with Vea out…..we will miss White and Shaq.

    Minter is a capable backup…..but he’s a backup nonetheless.

Gonna be tough defensively with missing shaq, white, and Davis. Losing some of (if not the best) players in each layer of your defense is a tough one. Bucs offense needs to come out firing on all cylinders and carry this beaten up defense to the W.

Fingers crossed the Bucs stay covid free from here on out.

Take the ball first if Bucs win toss. Score first and keep foot on pedal so Matty Ice and crew a ready to take detour home to Disney.

What I don’t want to see is a pick 6 by forcing the ball to Evan’s to get his record. 40 yds should be a joke, play it out.

Agree with Joe, but I am not getting the feeling that this team is taking things seriously enough. Hopefully, I am wrong here. Tom certainly understands the importance of momentum carrying you into the playoffs. I also agree with the comment about picks because they are forcing the ball to Evans. Atlanta is going to know that they are going to want to target Evans for sure. Tom is smart enough to avoid that, but I almost feel like this team is putting Mike’s record and RoJo’s stats ahead of winning the game.

  8. Kentucky Buc Says:

Eff the stats , play ball. The stats will take care of themselves. BA shouldn’t even be talking about it. It’s a distraction if you let it be. Like the man said 40 yards should come in the normal course of the game.

Proof is in the pudding. It’s better to err on side of being aggressive than being passiveness. If we can bury them then we better.

-Gotta agree, Joe. I just re-watched the Week 15 game again, and if the Bucs can simply be half as horrible as they were in the first half, and half as sensational as they were in the second, this should easily be a two-score game.

    GO BUCS!!!
