Credibility, Decency At Stake

December 13th, 2020

It’s much more than another game with playoff implications today at the Den of Depression and longtime Bucs faithful know exactly why.

The Bucs are 3-3 on their home turf this season and a loss today would mean the Bucs’ streak of not having a winning season at home would continue for the 12th consecutive year.

Even at 11 years, it’s one of the most embarrassing streaks in modern NFL history and, if it continues, it would speak to horrible mental weakness within the roster and the leaders of the organization.

Joe firmly believes that if the Bucs miss a winning home record this season that Team Glazer should create a new position immediately, Home Turf Decency Specialist, and tab one man or woman to spend every waking business hour working on fixing the team’s mindset when it comes to home games. Among the many job duties should include a personal phone call to every player and coach leading up to a game.

Joe could rattle off at least 27 new tasks for a Home Turf Decency Specialist, and Joe can guarantee that position would be more valuable than a lot of the cash wasted on other current gigs at One Buc Palace.

It’s enough already. Show some damn pride and win at home.

The Browns are 5-1 at home this season. The Browns. The 17-year-playoff-drought Browns.

As loyal readers here know, the Den of Depression nickname gets retired on these pages of the Bucs finish 5-3 at home this season.

No way we lose today, not to the Vikings.
Not only are we a terrible matchup for them, they are not a playoff team, and will be exposed as such today.

    @ Chris

Are you so confident that you’re willing to drop $1000 on a Vegas gambling line that the Bucs will win today???????

I bet you won’t cause you know the Bucs always lose games they are suppose to win.

I mean………..look at the pathetic Giants game????? The Bucs almost lost that game and the Vikings are 3 times better in everyway.

    Decency? No. It’s football.

@TheBucsAnthem: I disagree. The Jints have a serious defense and the Vikes do not.

Bucs are already stinking up the stadium. Todd Bowls defense isn’t ready to play and the “GOAT” doesn’t look like the “GOAT” to me.
We should have had Cook but dumb-a** Leight passed him up in the second round to get Howard. We needed a good (great) running back at the time (and still do) but Leight took Howard when we already had two good tight ends.
The Bucs will suck until the Glaziers sell the team to somebody competent. This fish has always rotted from the head down.
The Glaziers hire the wrong general manager, the wrong coaches, the wrong players and the wrong water boys. Pathetic! I for one will never give these owners a nichel of mine!

It was an ugly game but we found a way to win and the defense still played well.
