Buccaneers 46, Panthers 23

November 15th, 2020

Welcome to 7-3. And it feels so good!!

Our beloved Buccaneers haven’t been 7-3 (or better) after 10 games since 2008.

Joe is fired up. This is a good football team. Even the hardened Bucs skeptics should be punching a believer card right now.

Hooray for the Bucs offense righting the ship today. There was balance, with Brady spreading the ball around beautifully and a running game returning. The red zone work was meh, but it certainly was good enough. Joe won’t quibble with the Bucs pounding out 46 points against an average Panthers defense.

After Ronald Jones’ K-Y hands emerged on an early fumble after a reception, he settled down to rush for 192 yards on 23 carries. And what a freakin’ 98-yard run to the house. Joe hasn’t screamed that loud in years! Major kudos to Bucco Bruce Arians and Byron Leftwich for not pulling RoJo after the fumble.

Jason Pierre-Paul had an interception and a sack, and Tom Brady showed up with a huge day. Joe loves seeing the team leaders rise up in a big game.

The Bucs defense showed plenty of cracks in the first quarter, but they tightened up massively and pressure on Teddy Bridgewater emerged in the second half.

Joe will ignore the massive special teams gaffe and raise a Big Storm Beer to this glorious “W.”

Stick with Joe today and tonight for plenty more out of this glorious victory.

Bucs win! All is right in the world…until the Bucs lose.

  10. 813bucboi Says:

Offense played well outside of the missed deep balls and drops….

Defense has to play with better energy and focus early…

    GO BUCS

  11. 813bucboi Says:

    I want 50….lol…

  12. Seemore Bucs Says:

Always great to see Blaine Gabbert when the Bucs have a win locked away.

  13. All lives matter Says:

Ronald Jones II put a dagger in Carolina’s momentum and ignited an onslaught of bottle-up aggression the Buc’s were stewing.

    A thing of beauty ..7 – 3 Baby!!

  14. JimmyJack Says:

I was mad at Ronald and then we went and made the greatest play I have seen in over 14 years. Ronald is the MVP and its not uo for debate. ROJO just won us the game today. If we dint have RoJo we lose.

Now Ronald has to do it again and win us the next game. Thats his new expectation. Ronald became an All Pro today. RoJo can be the biggest rewason Tampa bring home a Lombardi……Not exaggerating. Ronald Jones truely was that good today!!! I cant wait to see hus next game!!!!

    Ronald for NFL MVP!!!

    GO BUCS WOOOOOO!!!!!!

  15. BROCKTACULAR Says:

    GET RO-JO 200

  16. ElioT Says:

    Brady
    23 TD
    7 INT
    2,739 Yards

    On pace for:
    36 TD
    11 INT
    4,382 Yards

    7-3 Baby!!!!

  17. Beej Says:

    he could get 200 yards

  18. 813bucboi Says:

Great job BL stuck with rojo after his fumble

    GO BUCS

  19. rrsrq Says:

Will they take 3 knees or will they try and get ROJO 200 yards

  20. Seemore Bucs Says:

RoJo is eight yards away from 200 yards rushing.

  21. Soggy Says:

    Game ball to ROJO

  22. JimmyJack Says:

Somebody pass me a beer…. now.

I am celebrating. Every cheer goes to Ronald today

  23. Seemore Bucs Says:

Lots of good performances today but after a really bad play, RoJo was a monster the rest of the game and deserves the game ball.

  24. Jmarkbuc Says:

And just think how many points we left on the field.

  25. Seemore Bucs Says:

    Jmarkbuc, exactly.

  26. Coburn Says:

Just need to stay away from that zone defense and they’ll.be fine lol. Also keep haeg off field unless it’s as an extra blocker. Hopefully marpet is back next week, but seems this combo was a bit better, respect in the run game. With Jensen at lg seems they got some push. Shipley looked pretty thick

  27. Seemore Bucs Says:

Could have and should have scored 60 today.

  28. Coburn Says:

And yeah need to work on this deep balls lol… I think maybe just a bit higher trajectory would give.his receiver more of a chance to get.under it

  29. Seemore Bucs Says:

Love Jensen moving to guard. Think we may have found something. Especially when Ali comes back.

  30. UKbuccaneer Says:

I know 2020 is weird Joe, but did it erase the 2010 season where the bucs defeated the 49ers at Candlestick to go 7-3?

  31. Seemore Bucs Says:

7.5 hour wait for their plane to leave? NO PROBLEM!!!! GO BUCS!!!!!

  32. Coburn Says:

That’s Ali’s spot that Jensen was playing. But yeah I think Shipley may be an alright find if we are in a pinch again. Certainly didn’t have any bad snaps…. And we know Jensen can play guard if needed

  33. Beej Says:

KC barely escaped this team last week

  34. Howard Cosell Says:

    Ronald Jones story please Joe!

    In other news:
Howard tried eating W’s today, but getting saliva all over his 2 middle fingers was kind of gross and awkward

  35. JimmyJack Says:

Elliot nah …….after the game Tom played today he is on pace for 5 5kand 45 TDs. Tom is warmed up and you can see him starting to click…….with Chis….with Mike…..AB fits perfectly…..Brate is strting to get it going with Brady too…..This offense is starting to become unstoppable. It looks like we will only get better……..oh plus Ronald Jones just becane a Top 3 back in the NFL today. He will be #1 next week. Thats my prediction

  36. Casual Observer Says:

All good comments, Joe. The good Bucs showed up today. Hope they are here to stay. Great game.

  37. Dewey Selmon Says:

Don’t forget we hung 55 on the Rams last year. A franchise record.

  38. JimmyJack Says:

5,500K. Tom will throw 5,500 k this year. And he will net 48 TDs. And it will be easy. Antinio will get 3 and he will get over 500 yards. Chris too.

  39. Wesley Says:

Good team not a great team.

  40. Buczilla Says:

    Awesome way to bounce back.

  41. Blu Says:

Jimmy I’ll have what your smoking lmaoo. One gokd game dint make rojo an all pro or top 3 back lol. He’s not better Saquon, Henry, Kamara, or McCaffery. He might be top though but he needs to learn how catch and secure balls better

  42. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Go 49ERS!!!!!!!!!

  43. timbucs2 Says:

Sorry y’all. The stink of the 38-3 debacle will take more than a Panthers beat-down to scrub out.

If we can beat the Rams and look competent vs. the champs, then I’ll believe that Saints game was just a hiccup.

  44. Will Says:

I think Shipley may have just let us know not to worry if we can’t keep Jensen next year. Kudos to the coaches for making that move with Marpet out.
Defense come out all game and play and we’ll be dangerous.

  45. Frank Pillow Says:

Big win. Kudos for big time players stepping up. Joes, please put the focus on one of the most important adjustments made from
    last week to this one…

    Shipley to C
    Jensen to G

Both were largely outstanding today- both for how they ably handled the Kitties and for masking/ mitigating 76’s deficiencies.

  46. SOEbuc Says:

If anything, Tom was off on passes with guys open. We gotta prove we can beat a legit team against KC or LA or both after getting whomped by NO.

  47. Defense Rules Says:

SOEbuc I agree with you. Panthers hung tough until the 2nd half then they faded. Brady threw for a very nice 72% on the day, but it sure did look like almost all of it was short stuff; his deep passes were off the mark time & time again (must’ve been the wind?).

Two keys to the game IMO. First, much better run-pass BALANCE than we’ve had in the last 2 games. Had 37 rushing attempts (3 of which were kneeldowns) and 40 pass attempts (which includes 1 sack). That’s a nice 48% rush-52% pass ratio … nice BALANCE.

Secondly, our defense finally came alive especially in the 2nd half. Teddy Bridgewater was 13 for 13 before our defense apparently said ‘Enough is enough’ and started to shut him down. Even our pass rush came alive some. Now we need to do the same thing to the Rams & Chiefs.

  48. mdsbuc Says:

I’m thinking Cappa should get some props too. That was a hell of a play, pulling from the right guard position and blocking around left end. There are a lot of players stepping up.

  49. orlbucfan Says:

Plenty of holding not called against the Panthers. When will holding finally disappear as a penalty cos it’s stupid. Bucs eat a good team today. Sick of the 1st down run calls. I had it on radio. Did RonJ fumble to start the game?

  50. orlbucfan Says:

Hate IPad as it tries to edit a comment.

  51. Buc You Says:

Missed most of the game, did Watson really record 3 tackles and a sack?!

  52. Chesapeake Bucco Says:

where is NDOG and Unrealisto Bucco?
