How many Bucs have asked Tom Brady for help?

Some fans think third-year Bucs cornerback Carlton Davis is worthy of your Pro Bowl vote (and voting is open now). Listening to Davis this week, it seems he wants to give Tom Brady a little credit for his rise.

Davis is the best Bucs corner and he leads the NFL in passes defensed and pass interference penalties, to go along with four interceptions.

Davis also is an introspective guy that’s eager to improve. It’s why he approached Brady soon after he became a Buccaneer.

“I asked him for some advice when he first came here, and he gave me some good advice, good insight on how the top corners in the league [play] from what he’s seen. He gave me some tips and it’s been working good for me,” Davis told Bucs Total Access last week.

Joe’s always pleased to hear the young Bucs express that they’ve gone out of their way to learn from Brady. Frankly, any Bucs player that hasn’t personally tapped into that resource is foolish. It still stuns Joe that it took Vernon Hargreaves years to schedule 1-on-1 time with Rondé Barber, who was a regular at One Buc Palace during the early years of Hargreaves in Tampa.

Davis also noted that he’s a big fan of the night games that seem to flummox the Bucs. The struggles haven’t sapped his national enthusiasm Brady has brought.

“Not to mention the attention we get. Every time you make a big play, it’s all over ESPN. … A little bit more light to shine under,” Davis said.

Broad impact, thought this was going to be an article about broads.

  2. Brandon Says:

The old QB gave Davis advice on what other CBs do to be successful, it went something like this, “Just stand there and I’ll hit you between the numbers. I can make any corner look good!”

  3. Oneilbuc Says:

Yep Brandon and the new quarterback haven’t played good against a good to average defense yet . The only defenses he played good against is bottom ranked defenses . Lol lol 😆😅🤣

And Jameis Winston is a lifetime 40% win % QB….Brady just under 80%

Brady has already equaled JW’s number of W’s and has six games left to add to that total. Better hold your powder Oneil.

How many times did JW lead the Buc’s to the playoffs?

  5. Oneilbuc Says:

How many number 1 defenses did Jamies have vs Brady ? How many 1,000 yards rushers did Jamies have ??? And how many quarterbacks did we developed vs the Patriots ?? I’ll wait ??? Lol 😁😆😅

  6. Youngbucs Says:

Oneilbucs shut up u said Winston was the 2nd string QB not the 3rd even when the depth chart said other wise. We don’t know football is what you scream. Your words hold no weight here. How many times have you and the cult been proven wrong????

  7. Youngbucs Says:

Hey oneil maybe winston 3rd because he tossed 10 passes with 2 that should’ve been pick 1 of them into triple coverage same Jamies huh!!!!!

  8. Youngbucs Says:

Mind blowing how anyone can think Brady is not an upgrade over Winston. These people are like battered wives. “He didn’t mean to hit me. I shouldn’t have burnt his dinner.”

“He had to play against good defenses.”

  11. Oneilbuc Says:

Old cookie is back lol 😆😅🤣 and guess what Brady still haven’t played well against a good or average defense .

  12. Youngbucs Says:

Yea same oneil and Winston still suck

  13. Jason Says:

Every comment except the first one is about Jameis, yet he was never mentioned in the article. Hmmmm…..
