Ryan Jensen Dominating

October 23rd, 2020

Strong season.

Of late, not too many folks are hollering about the offensive line.

One guy who caught the ire of some Bucs fans, and a guy who surely got park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting Bucs quarterback Tom Brady peeved on national TV in primetime, is Bucs center Ryan Jensen.

Yes, it was dumb of Jensen to headbutt a Bears defender drawing a 15-yard penalty. But take away his unthinking penalties, and Jensen is having a helluva year. Later today or tomorrow Joe will share info that reveals Jensen to be among the top centers in the game.

Brandon Thorn of The Draft Academy thinks Jensen may be the best center in the league. As thorn demonstrates in the video below, Jensen was dominating defenders last Sunday in the win at Green Bay.

Joe doesn’t think it’s a stretch to think both Ali Marpet and Jensen may be having Pro Bowl years — if there was a Pro Bowl this winter.

Called probowl for Jensen and Marpet the second we signed Brady. Is anyone talking about how great the oline in NE is right now? Nope. The opposite.

Existing Bucs Talent + Great Coaching/Teachung + National game exposure + Brady = success and accolades.

    In BA I Trust!

  2. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Great stuff! I’m a BIG fan of Ryan, loved the signing when we scooped him up and he’s only getting better! If the OL plays like the Green Bay game the rest of the way, lookout league! We need TB12 to stay clean, because without him… It’s game over, Gabbert and Griffin have no shot IMO to take us to the promise land!

  3. Architek Says:

    Total Beast!

  4. BUC CHEEKS Says:

Also, is it just me or are we not hearing the name CAPPA?! Which isn’t a bad thing… He’s been playing sneaky good football too, ya?! You don’t hear his name much. Mayock “throw him out the club”. Great college film just wrecking the weak competition! A bit of a project coming out but he’s turned into a solid RG! Let’s keep meshing gelling and crushing!

THIS IS AWESOME! I’d like to see in the trenches on all 5 of our hog mollies! Give me more please;)))

  5. Allbuccedup Says:

Now just draft a left tackle in 2021 draft. Let him sit behind Smith for a year and learn what not to do as a left tackle in the NFL.

  6. ClodHopper Says:

Good to see he is stepping it up knowing the goat is right behind him. What could possibly be more motivating than bringing in the goat? He should teach that to the feller a couple spots to his left.

  7. Gofortheface30 Says:

Allbuccedup- I actually agree let him sit for a yr behind smith. I subjected myself to the piece of crap eagles and giants game last night only for gambling purposes – but Andrew Thomas, whom a lot of people advocated for and someone a lot of people had the Bucs taking – was an absolute disaster last night. Even Vinny freaking curry was working him over. It was truly awful between two awful teams with the giants offensive line being the worst offenders. Anyway, for as bad as 76 can be – he has moments of consistency, we can’t have that crap that I saw out of Andrew Thomas last night with Brady

  8. Bird Says:

Run the gap between Jensen and marpet

    Best hole for RB

  9. #1bucfan Says:

Man if we play smart disciplined football. I bet we beat the chiefs. I know this is a stretch but we have a better well rounded team then the chiefs. Yea that got that offense but we got one too y’all and our defense is better than the chiefs. Let’s go Bucs

  10. AlabamaBucsFan Says:

Crazy how changing a QB can make a difference in the OL.

  11. DoooshLaRue Says:

No, draft a RT early, move Wirfs to LT and try to get something for Donovan and cut him loose.

  12. adam from ny Says:

who’s the nastiest guy on the o-line and will throw down for the whole squad ?

    big red 66

  13. MarineBucsFan Says:

I can’t remember who showed it but there was a post game shot of Brady after that Packers game and they said look at how clean Brady Jersey is lol.

  14. David Says:

The entire line has been playing very good and getting better. They had a very bad half in Chicago and too many penalties. Hopefully that was a wake up call and doesn’t happen again

  15. MarineBucsFan Says:

Oh!! And we wore our white jerseys.

  16. orlbucfan Says:

Both Koetter and Licht took major beatings on sites like this one. One thing DK did was draft a lot of young offensive talent across the board. Licht signed them. Bucs are starting to reap the fruits. Biggest disappointment was JW. Hopefully, the next QB drafted will be a good one.

  17. Mike Says:

Love how Jensen plays to the whistle and doesn’t take sh from anyone! That penalty for a so called headbutt in Chicago was really ticky tack. In fact, the refs in that game were doing a terrible job.

  18. Darin Says:

I’m guessing they’ll still have a pro bowl vote even tho game wont be played. Lots of those guys cash in if they make it. Follow the money

  19. TampaTown Says:

Seems like everyone that engages with Jensen ends up in the ground

  20. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

He’s been playing well but i’m always worried about that personal foul or unsportsmanlike. Gotta stay on the right side of that edge.

  21. SlyPirate541 Says:

    QUESTION:
For Pro Bowl selections, can you have two LT or is it specifically a RT and LT?

  22. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Ryan Jensen is our very own Viking!
Yes, any time the last name Jensen is spelled JensEn vs JensOn, it is a Scandinavian last name.
LOL, no wonder he is so Ornery !

Jensen is a surname of Scandinavian origin. Jensen literally means son of Jens. In the 2001 it was the most common surname in Denmark, but nowadays it is the second most common surname in Denmark, where it is shared by about 5% of the population.

  23. Miller5252 Says:

That personal foul was such a bad call, he barely head butted him. That game had so many calls and that one was just another that cost the Bucs. The Bucs had plenty of opportunities to win that game so I don’t put it on the refs, but that call should have never happened since there are plays worse then it every week in the league.

Bad things is, if he is the best in the league it’s really gonna cost the Bucs to resign him at the end of the year. If I’m not mistaken I thought this was the last year on his contract and the Bucs have a lot of good players to sign. If Brady plays another year I’m sure he’ll have a say if Jensen is signed again. Since Shaq isn’t playing as lights out as last year they may be able to save some money on him if the other teams aren’t willing to give him some crazy contract. Good call not signing him to a giant contract at the end of the year.
