“Makes The Game Easy For Tom”

Bruce Arians talks good times for Tommy

The remaining Jameis Winston lovers might cringe a bit reading this.

Bucco Bruce Arians was on The Dan Patrick Show today and was asked whether he knows who is team is yet.

You know, the makeup and potential of the roster and what it can achieve.

“I think we’ve known defensively; offensively, we’re still scratching the surface,” Arians said. “We’ve missed so much time in the offseason. So each week’s a new week for us offensively. With all the injuries on offense, getting guys back now, I think we can start finding ourselves.”

Arians went to say the Bucs’ efficient and reliable running game “makes the game easy for Tom,” so that’s a great thing to build on.

Ahh, a run game. Joe savors every inch of what Ronald Jones and friends have delivered. Joe’s even fired up about the burst Ke’Shawn Vaughn has displayed. The days of Jacquizz Rodgers, Peyton Barber, burned out Doug Martin and bad RoJo are long gone.

On a fun note, Arians was asked if asked if Rob Gronkowski is goofy.

What came next was classic Arians.

“He’s unusual. He’s a hell of a lot of fun, though, man,” Arians said of Gronk. “He’s a hell of a lot of fun. Just talking to him. Like, ‘Dude, does your elevator go all the way to the top?’ I mean, I’m not sure. But it is fun.”

Winston was treated unfairly and is just as good of a leader as Tom Brady!!!1

^I feel dirty after typing that

  2. Rico 210 Says:

I like it this way. No identity, just beatings. Take em to the wood shed. All anyone needs to know is, when you play the Bucs, we are coming for you. Fear the flag!
    Go Bucs

  3. Howard Cosell Says:

    Seriouly though:
Howard is in awe of Bradys motivational skills and he hopes the trend continues. FYI Howard hated Brady in NE. Couldn’t stand seeing his smug face……My, how the tables have turned!

Just throwing this out there FWIW:
Howard would pay $500/hr for Brady to scream at him….you know….so Howard can become a peak performer and all that

  4. BuucccNASTY Says:

I love Gronk. Just got his jersey in yesterday B-) He’s finally looking more like his old self too

  5. bucnole Says:

This just in: Howard is an idiot

  6. TampaTown Says:

Can I just say, what is with that shirt? It looks like something out of the little boy’s department in Target.

    Blasphemy!

  11. TB12 In Da Bay Says:

Before the Jameis lovers get upset check out these year to year comparisons

    2020 vs 2019
    Thru 6 Games
Team rushing totals 655 yards vs 589 yards

The Bucs are averaging only 11 yards more per game this year than last

    Sacks
8 sacks allowed vs 25 sacks allowed

Is the Bucs line pass blocking better? Is the QB going through his progressions quicker? Is the QB not holding onto the ball too long? I think its a combination of all of these issues that plagued the team last year.

    Passing Attempts
    224 attempts vs 220 attempts

Brady is passing the ball slightly more than Jameis did through 6 games

    TD/INT Ratio
    14 TD’s 4 INT’s vs 12 TD’s 10 INT’s

No Shocker here, Brady is keeping the Bucs in good position to win games and not giving the opponents free points and field position. I am sure the defense loves this as well.

No need to talk about the Saints 3rd String QB any longer, the Bucs upgraded and are 4-2.

  12. PSL Bob Says:

Tampa Town – I was thinking the same thing. I’ve seen quite a few shots of Brady wearing what look like thrift store shirts (not that there’s anything wrong with that). You’d just expect more uptown looks. Guess he’s more into domiciles than apparel.

  13. geno711 Says:

TB12 to your point about rushing.
We all know you get more rushing yards when you are ahead.
We have been ahead more as the game is winding down.

It is few reasons in my opinion:

    1. Less bad plays early by our quarterback that puts us behind.
    2. Better and improving defense not giving up as many points.
    3. Tied into number 1 – a quarterback that just understands a little better how to just get rid of the ball so we do not take a sack.

I think you said it better than me but ultimately I agree with your thoughts.

I love you people, you think a new QB is going to walk in here next season coming into a new offense for them, new receivers for them, new coaching for them, playing behind this line, with no running game, with a defense that we’re are being sold as better….

See this previous post proves that NDOG can be correct. He loved all of us people (like me) that thought that the Bucs could be better with Brady (was my 1st choice in the off season) even though he was in a new offense with new receivers for him, new coaching for him, playing behind this line with essentially ROJO (same RB we had last year) and essentially a defense that we were starting to get excited about.

  15. JimBuc2 Says:

Chucky Smucky. Grud’s staggering hubris will be his downfall. Stop the run and make insecure D. Carr one dimensional. Gruden challenged his Buc defense to score nine touchdowns. Bowles D wis well on their way to exceed that mark. Feed RoJo and stuff Jacobs is the key to a win Sunday night. We rattled Rodgers and can definitely scramble Carr. Two picks are not out of the question. So, here’s the deal. Go big again on national prime time and the Bucs take a huge step towards regaining national revelance. BA’s Bucs can and likely will do this.
    Go Bucs!

  17. SufferingSince76 Says:

Are y’all talking about the luckiest, old, washed up QB of the Bucs? How can that be?!?!?

  18. Bird Says:

    Sufferingsince76

    Hahahaha

Ndog. You said you would always use your original name
Why yah scared using another new poster name
That has your loser cry baby style written all over it

  19. Ericb Says:

Its complete opposite of last year ..last year we were 2-4 and look JW already had 10 INT thats insane…turn the ball over your gonna lose games period look at GB 2 INT..its insane to even to attemp to compare the goat and Jw ..on to vegas.keep up the man coverage take away waller and the run game keep up the intensitu on the qb we got this!!! Pats d shut them down…vegas has no run defense let rojo run all over them with leonard…oh and brady eats Ws for real lol lets.get it!!!! Go bucs!!!!

  20. Lakewood Ranch Phil Says:

Anyone ever thought our o-line was to tired to give a decent run block due to the extended time of pass blocking that they did so well and for much longer than most teams?

  21. Bush's Coke Spoon Says:

“The days of Jacquizz Rodgers, Peyton Barber, burned out Doug Martin and bad RoJo are long gone.”

Even those guys would be looking serviceable behind our current run blocking.

It makes him look bigger. Horizontal lines; trying to look buff.

I bleed Creamsicle though…I promise you that.

Tom Brady can be the Bucs QB for another 4 more years if he wants!

    Oof, Yankees?? Gross.

  28. David Says:

    TB12
    Great stats
It shows hardly anything is different. I will say this, the run game is more efficient. Less stops in the backfield.
Other than that, everything points towards Jameis Winston.
More sacks because he held the ball and panicked in the pocket.
    More interceptions from bad decisions.
Mentally processing everything and going through progressions fast and being indecisive has proven over and over and over to be the most critical part of being a quarterback.
More than scrambling, more than arm strength.

Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are two of the greatest, not because of Arm strength, but because of their intellect at the position.
Quickly processing everything makes you more accurate as well
