“I Don’t Think I’ve Ever Seen Him Look Like That”

Cam Brate is happy

Cameron Brate is a very happy man these days.

He’s football healthy, which he wasn’t the past two seasons.

He’s also no longer buried on the Buccaneers’ bench, And as a football fan, Brate was damn glad to witness what he considered history on Sunday.

For those unaware, Brate may be the hardest core football nut on the team. Joe’s not talking about being a film junkie; Brate is a game junkie, a sit-on-the-couch-and-watch-football-all-day kind of dude. Joe suspects Brate is fired up to be playing next on Sunday Night Football so he can watch a full 1 o’clock game and peek at the 4 o’clock action.

Brate reminded fans of his football addiction on Salty Dogs this week and said after 16 seasons of watching Aaron Rodgers what the Bucs did to him was unique.

“I watch a ton of football, huge football fan, … I don’t think I’ve ever seen him look like that,” Brate said of Rodgers. “That’s not saying anything bad about him, per se, but just how dominant our defense played on Sunday.”

Brate went on to praise Bowles and acknowledged that he likely would be a top head-coaching candidate in January.

On the X’s and Os front, Brate said the Packers played lots of nickel defense against the Bucs and he things that’s a big reason the Bucs had so much success running the ball.

One of the things which made Rondé Barber so valuable. He could tackle as well as a linebacker.

    Bowles aint going nowhere!

Arians will move to an office with Licht in a couple years.

    And Bowles will take over.

And if the Glazers are smart, they will sign Tom Brady to a 20 year contract as team president or something.

We need Tom Brady’s presence in Tampa Bay until he dies!

Tom Brady is a King among Men.

TB12, his fitness team, should also be kept in Tampa Bay.

    Glazers! Hear me!

Tom Brady must stay in Tampa for 20 years!

    Ding, ding, ding, ding!

Bowles, Brady, Arians…figure out a way to keep ‘em all.

Leftwich will be the next Tampa-birthed head coach. That’s fine. We’ll still have Brady and the influence of BA…and I’m sure there’s someone else in the family who BA will anoint to step up.

And can we please give a morning shoutout to Jason Licht?

That man has taken so much crap in here…it’s high-time we acknowledge him to be the absolute BEST GM in the game right now.

    #1

I know Jake Arians read JBF…I have a sneaky suspicion he’ll agree.

    Now for my morning prayer:

    Dear Lord,

Please put your thumb on the scale of “CV-19 Testing” and bless the Raiders with NO EXCUSE to delay Sunday’s game. They’re fine. Give them their OL back and let’s play ball.

    Amen

    Boy I’m dead LMAO
    Go Bucs

  5. HeyItsAdam Says:

The Bucs completely did Brate wrong. The extended his contract and then signed OJ Howard who they ABSOLUTELY did not need and is a BUST. Yes a BUST. I said it… A BUST.

  6. Swampbuc Says:

I really hope the Glazers and Licht slide something into Bowles contract guaranteeing him the HC job when Arians retires.

  7. 813bucboi Says:

coaches did a great job vs the Packers….

lets carry it over to LV…

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  8. ben Says:

Jason Light is not close to being a good gm . His job is now to get the guys the coaches want in the draft and free agents . i doubt he has much say .

  9. Admiral Redbeard Says:

I agree with Teacherman 100%. Glazers let Lynch get away, and look what he’s done in S.F. DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WITH BOWLES OR BRADY!!!

  10. Sorryjackchuckiesback Says:

Bensays: .. that’s not true.. David, Brate, Evans, jpp, Barrett, Davis Marpet, Jensen, Cappa, GODWIN, Rojo, Smith (even tho he’s up and down still a decent tackle) Miller, Johnson aallllll those guys were Licht picks!! …. You got it wrong in that you should have said he FINALLY has coaches capable of bringing the young talent he brought to this team up to NFL level!! … I’ve always thought Licht has done a good job!! Every GM has bad picks you can’t help that!! But this is his team man and I know Bowles probably had a lot to do with the White pick and some of the corners where Licht does struggle seeing talent there!! but for the most part this is his team

  11. Hodad Says:

If I’m Bowles, I’d rather get a raise in pay, and stay with this team then to become a HC of a bad franchise. The Jets are finding out Bowles wasn’t the problem. The problem with teams like the Jets is more organizational, then just having a bad HC. Honestly, what team hires Adam Gase after the turd he laid in Miami?

  12. Pigsueybucsfan Says:

Sorry Jack well said absolutely correct!

  13. TOM Says:

Bowles should get HC pay & stay as DC & Leftwitch should get a pay cut to compensate.

  14. BigMacAttack Says:

Teacherman I agree and posted the same comment about Bowles the other day. Just as they found a way to keep Kiffin they will do with Todd Bowles. Bowles will be our next Head Coach.
