Should Bucs Fans Be Concerned?

September 20th, 2020

Sluggish streak.

NFL Network seems to be sending out smoke signals that maybe park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is not the answer at quarterback.

First there was Bucky Brooks’ suggestion that the Bucs are having buyer’s remorse. Unless there something mysterious behind the scenes, throwing in the towel on Brady after one game seems rash, no?

Well, now there is Colleen Wolfe. The fetching NFL Network anchor likely didn’t dig up this information but she did voice over the graph yesterday that shows Brady’s numbers in recent games are less than a certain backup quarterback’s numbers.

You can see who the mystery quarterback is in the NFL Network video below.

It almost seems like there is an agenda at NFL Network. National cable outfits wouldn’t stoop to that, would they?

Joe hates to say it, but it’s a very big game today.

Knee-jerk reactions are the norm. We lost to the Saints twice during our Super Bowl run.. Can we please play a few games before the verdict is cast? We’ll be fine!

  2. AlteredEgo Say: Your comment is awaiting moderation. Says:

They should be concerned about the kicking game today with the wind… TB should be the least of anyone’s concerns

  3. orlbucfan Says:

I am looking forward to watching this defense get better and better as the season passes. I also glad Ungodly Godwin is healing. That Aints ahole who hit him in the head should be kicked out of the league. Alas, only in a perfect world.

  4. Bucc941 Says:

I expect Brady to bounce back today and bring home a W. With that being said, If he plays like he did last week… I don’t want to hear about the running backs or offensive line or hurt receivers or bad play calling. He doesn’t get any excuses. Go Bucs.

  5. BigHog Says:

We didn’t land on Plymouth Rock…the rock landed in us!! The BUCS were confused, then lead astray…blinded by the light of the GOAT! THE YOU PEOPLE MOVEMENT, got it wrong this time! Bring back Mr. 5,000 and in my 300 voice “We will give them nothing but take EVERYTHING” …HENNY AND HOG…get yo-self some …breakfast on the way!!!

  6. BucEmUp Says:

    Fire Byron Leftwich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. bucsince79 aka bumaneer Says:

GOAT makes every PLAYER HATER pay!!!! I used to hate on him sometimes as a NE Pat & I learned to keep my mouth shut… Screw the talking heads!!!

  8. EA Says:

Tom Brady has never been knocked around like will this season, and at 43 that can’t be a good thing. My concern at this point is his durability, his accuracy and arm strength are not bad considering his age.

  9. Jimmy Says:

    Not concerned at all

  10. Hodad Says:

No we shouldn’t be concerned. Brady wasn’t signed to a five year deal worth 100’s of million dollars. This is a one, two year experiment. If this doesn’t work out it’s clean house time. Brady himself might hang it up if he fails this year. Bruce, and Licht will certainly be gone if this fails. So no worries.

  11. Kobe Faker Says:

“Desparate times cause for Desparate measures 2020

It is indeed a shame Kobe Faker has to step in so early in the season to change the tides

IF BYRON LEFTWICH PLAYCALLS A RUN UP THE GUT ON 2ND AND 10,

Kobe Faker will streak buck naked (with a mask on) across I4 near the Lakeland exit”

  12. BigHog Says:

    Run Kobe run!!

  13. Clean House Says:

Theres only a few of us who have consistently backed JW and have a right to appreciate and call for him. The rest of you have had your fun at his expense, so now you can live with wherever the chips may fall.

That said, I think TB12 is physically and mentally fine to have success.

It’s up to to the coaching staff to plan a consistent and reasonable offensive gameplan, and to instill some discipline in the players

    I’m doubtful on this.

    I predicted 6-10

    I hope I’m wrong.

  14. BigHog Says:

Clean House : there were a few, far and in between but the BUCS are our team ….so go win us a game!!!

  15. stpetebucsfan Says:

Jameis Winston? When did wins stop counting.

JW is an amazing athlete with a gun for an arm, durability and while he is slow as molasses he is a deceptive runner. How did Fitz duplicate his numbers two years ago?

Because for all his talent JW is CHOKER!!! The bigger the game the smaller he plays!

    JW 28-42 Teddy Bridgewater 22-12

I do not demean Teddy’s talent but certainly JW has more talent or at minimum a better arm…but Teddy has something JW does not…actually two things.

    Poise! And a 65% winning % versus JW’s 40% winning % or stated another way 60% losing %

Show me the MONEY! Money = wins

  16. webster Says:

Wrong st. Pete. Bridgewater has had top defenses and running game. A player who throws 14 tds and 12 ints in a season and still makes the playoffs has nothing to do with poise. It says your team as a whole is good. 5-0 last year winning games when he only produced 13 pts. The only game he scored 30 pts was playing against the bucs weak defense. Again the saints are a complete team. Putting up jameis win loss record as if the kickers has not cost the bucs at least 10 games over the past 5 years is laughable. When will this dumb fan base realize winning takes a TEAM and not 1 player.

  17. Oneilbucs Says:

stpetebucfan You can keep blaming Jamies for losses all you want bro . But how many times did the defense gave up games ?? Or the kicker who couldn’t make field goals . I counted 3 games last year for sure . Wich we would have been 10 and 6 . In 20017 I can count 5 games where Jamies played great and we still lost at the end of the game. Brady is not use to trying to win games by himself that’s why he never had to forced throws to get first downs because he knew his defense would make offenses go three in out . He knew that he will be getting the ball right back . Because they will stop the other teams offense from scoring 8 times out of 10 . Jamies never played on a team like that in Tampa . So he felt like he had to forced throws because of the defense couldn’t stop anybody . But if I blamed Jamies for anything is that sometimes you have to play for yourself like Rogers does . Remember Rogers lead the NFL in throw aways for years and that’s why his numbers looked good. Rogers threw 35 touchdowns and 5 interceptions and the Packers still didn’t make the playoffs . Jamies should have played for himself more .

  18. bojim Says:

At least give him another game. Sheez.

  19. Oneilbucs Says:

But I’m a bucs fan first so I hope we win the next 15 games . But we have to learn from our mistakes dealing with the quarterback position . And the mistake is asking a quarterback to number 1 throw the ball 45 times a game up the field 10 yards are more in not expect him not to throw ints and if he does then he suck. 2 we have to realize that it takes a hold team to win 1 game not just the quarterback . 3 yall have to stop believing that a quarterback win games or lose games a lost is not a quarterback stat it’s a team stat. That means the running game the SP teams and defense and coaches is the reason why we win or lose . Until yall understand that and this organization understand that we will continue to be at the bottom 💯 !!!

  20. Jmarkbuc Says:

Major overreaction to one game. In New Orleans. With no preseason. If this defense keeps coming along we won’t need a whole Lotta offense ala 2002.

  21. SufferingSince76 Says:

    Continued pure nonsense.

  22. webster Says:

I see bridgewater is playing with poise today huh st. Pete?
