Perfect Landing Spot

September 3rd, 2020

Tampa good for Fournette.

There’s lots of smoke coming out of Jacksonville that one reason the Jags dumped stud running back Leonard Fournette was he had attitude problems.

Well, if those are true, then Fournette found the right place to land. And that is Tampa Bay.

BSPN’s Jeremy Fowler suggests the Bucs have the right pieces in place to keep Fournette focused on football, not nonsense.

Yeah, Joe is going to guess park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady won’t tolerate any bullsh!t from a teammate.

Besides, Joe has read players really look up to Brady, as in players across the league. Joe has also seen players personally put a bat signal out of social media wanting Brady to speak for them as he carries clout throughout the league.

O course a few players don’t like working with Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians, a no-nonsense, MF’er-dropping guy behind the cool exterior.

Additionally, people are leaving Jacksonville in droves. Why do you think that is, because Doug Marrone wears too much Old Spice?

Look, winning is the best perfume. When teams win, only the devout cowards remain irked.

Joe is confident Fournette will be just fine here.

fournette doesnt want to go 1on1 with JPP, SUH, LVD…

    he’ll be fine…

    GO BUCS!!!!

  2. Sarasota Garey Says:

We got a top 5 pick running back for peanuts!

  3. lambchop Says:

Anyone else find it hilarious that Succop is wearing #3??? He better make the team so I can laugh the whole season.

  4. TOM Says:

Not only a top 5 pick running back but he’s only 25.

Im not worried about his attitude or character. I think the Jags are at fault for the disgruntled players, not the players themselves. Interested to see how the depth chart shakes out over the next couple days.

Joe, do you think that Rojo could actually be the odd man out now? Obviously I thought Rojo was in for a breakout this year, but he is the 1 RB that wasnt brought in from this regime right?

    Fournette is obviously safe
Dare is obviously safe because he is the ST captain
Im guessing McCoy makes the team because he is a decent receiving option.

That leaves Rojo and Vaughn for RB4. Obviously they dont like Rojo and they just used a 3rd round pick on Vaughn. Camp would say Rojo is safe but I also find it hard to believe they would give up on a 3rd round pick already

Brady will show this guy what a pro’s pro looks like and acts like. I think Brady has brought that Patriots way down here I mean you look at guys like Blount who went to play with Brady and did great. I think the pure respect players all over have for Brady will be evident I Fournette’s play this year. I think Fournette will have a big year with the Bucs!

  7. Sarasota Garey Says:

Maybe we keep 5 rbs now

  8. Tampabaybucfan Says:

    Joeypoppems

My suspicion is that they will keep 5 RBs……….there may be one less WR or TE because of that.
If they are intent on keeping 3 QBs on the active roster….that creates pressure on the other position groups.

all top players want out of jacksonville…

it’s one of those places players go to die…

    career wise

  10. adam from ny Says:

trade dare oggie for a big bag of doritos…

    a real big bag

  11. SC Bucs Fan Says:

Haters will hate this move. Then again, the haters here hate everything. That’s how they got their name.

  12. Sarasota Garey Says:

It will all depend on who plays the best special teams, for rb/wr depth.

  13. adam from ny Says:

    oggie might be gone…

    if they don’t keep 5 backs…

they’ll keep shady over him with the teams all in approach…

from captain to the streets…the nfl is ruff

  14. Zwak Says:

The question is how long can they keep this together? I think two years max, but it should be an awesome two years!

  15. Casual Observer Says:

813bucboy likely has nailed it. Fournette’s sometimes immature actions will stay in Jax. I had been worried about his occasional lackadaisical attitude. But that won’t fly with this team. Some of his LSU buds should help too.

  16. Joeypoppems Says:

    @Tampabaybucfan

Its possible. Would be a waste of a roster spot imo. And they saw what life was like at WR last year without Evans and Godwin so I dont think they would take away from there. Idk how many TEs we carried last season but with all the 12 personnel talk I imagine they should be at least 4 deep. For whatever reason Ryan Griffin needs a spit and that complicates it lol

    @adam from ny

They arent going to cut Dare a week before the season. Plus if shady is in fact washed then Dare is the best receiving option we have right now. If they keep 4 then im guessing Vaughn is out. I mean, all that Arians has said about Vaughn is he could be a decent return guy and the return game is all but dead in the NFL lol.

I think Fournette will have a big year with the Bucs this year.
And, about the attitude problems ?
Mother Theresa would have attitude problems playing for Marrone in Jacksonville.

  18. ©MadMax Says:

Lordy, Lordy….we got him? oh Lort….. look out league….we getting stupid crazy up in here….WE AINT PLAYING!!!!!

  19. Rob in Land O Lakes Says:

No way this deal goes down without TB12 giving the thumbs up. Back in the ‘90’s, all you heard was what a turd Dennis Rodman was and how he was going to ruin the chemistry of the Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan would not tolerate that for five seconds and you never heard a peep out of Rodman other than his stellar defense of play.

I believe we see a steady dose of Rojo early on, and if this team can carry a double-digit lead into the second half, a pick your poison ground and pound with Fournette. Stack the box? TB12 will go up top. Play two high safety and Fournette will pummel you. Great problem to have.

  20. Robert Says:

Dont discount the fact that Shady will be in the RB room as well. And by all accounts he is a great teammate and the veteran leader in those meetings.

  21. All lives matter Says:

He’ll probably be the only one who kneels on the flag

  22. SlyPirate541 Says:

Fournette was a TOTAL D-BAG coming out of college.

Everyone told him he was god’s gift to football so many times he believed it.

Then he got humbled. He got hurt. He matured.

He started putting it together last year.

The table is set for him in Tampa. Let’s watch him feast.

  23. Buczilla Says:

As bad as it’s been here, Jacksonville is proof that it could be a lot worse.

  24. Blogtalkfootball.com Says:

I would buy a Succop jersey with 3 on it!
