Jason Licht Says Practices Have Changed

Out with the old quarterback and in with a very different kind of leader.
Seventh-year Buccaneers general manager Jason Licht was on FOX Sports Radio today and gave his insight into the no-pads training sessions at One Buc Palace featuring Tom Brady.
Media only has been granted 30 minutes of viewing since they started, so Joe was especially glad to hear Licht’s impressions.
Brady has been a game changer, per Licht, even in underwear football.
“There’s definitely a different aura to practice,” Licht said.
‘There’s just a different feel. It’s very efficient. The players are gravitating to [Tom Brady] like you would expect. I was, you know, in New England for six years when he was the quarterback. So I’m not as in awe as a lot of other people here that haven’t been around him. … It’s just a different feel but we’re taking it one day at a time here. We all know we have a lot of work to do before we kick off here in a little over a month.”
Joe loves hearing this from Licht because despite all the silly culture change chatter of last season, the Bucs really needed a changed aura at One Buc Palace. The stench of losing and sloppiness and ineptitude soiled Year 1 of the Bruce Arians regime.
Joe’s ecstatic that the Brady impact is being felt the way Licht describes. It has to be for the Bucs to turn things around in a hurry.

We already got rid of our big problem for losing last year. We may not make it through the whole season before we get rid of the other reason for losing, looking at you Mr. Gay!

Winston put up big numbers his first year running Arians offense, I see Brady being alot more efficient, with less turnovers.

The defense was actually in the upper echelon of NFL defenses the last 8 weeks last year. They vastly improved as the year went on! Like Stephen A Smith said, ya boy should’ve been Defensive Player of the Year last year for all the opportunities he gave to the opposing offenses! Jameis was far more responsible for the loses than the defense was. Sorry to burst your bubble!

The players, particularly the vets, seem thrilled to no longer be force fed Winston as their “leader” due to his draft status.

Ok buddy yeah I was blown away by the defense doing well against David Blough and Gardner Minshew.
This defense lost the Giants, Seahawks, Saints and Atlanta games and tried like heck to lose the Cardinals game but ok tell yourself they were good.

Of course he has Adam not too hard to eat W’s when your defense and kicking game basically wins games for you and all you got to do is throw for 120 yards and one touchdown and get wins. Wow a lot of guys could do that what a great player!

Yeah 951 it’s hard to win games your defense can’t stop anybody so that’s stat is kind of useless. Heck with this defense and kicking game every win was a freaking miracle we’re lucky we won any games they were so freaking horrible.

The fact remains that he had 14 turnovers against divisional opponents last year, 14!!! Last time I checked, Falcons and Saints were in our division last year. So just wondering, are you a Saints fan now?
